Breakfast was not provided but the neighbor hood restaurants were excellent
breakfast also on street parking - which we always found
Breakfast was not offered. Staff were Friendly.
We would have stayed longer, We were very unhappy with our stay. The location of the little room was undesirable, had to walk up & DOWN SEVERAL STEPS.badly lighted @ night, hazardous conditions Room was so small, To us we were not considered part of this historic building or didnt belong to Linden Row Inn. We would never recomend this Inn to any of our friends or any body wishing to stay @ your facility. James & Teresa Burke
Room a bit crowded with furniture
Restaurant was not open during our stays
Many tourists with little knowledge of Richmond will probably choose a motel chain in the far west end/Henrico County. Other than the University of Richmond, there is nothing of note there. Everything worth seeing (and there is lots) in Richmond is within 2 to 5 miles of Linden Row -- the Fan, VCU, the Jefferson Hotel if you want a big splurge dinner, the State Capitol, Shockoe Bottom, Carytown, the wonderful Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Valentine Museum, the James River walk or cycle path, Church Hill, and more. There are several large hotels not far from Linden Hall, but we really appreciated the small scale, beautiful room, and warm reception of the staff at Linden Hall. Around the corner is Perly's Delicatessen for a great NY style breakfast. I'm a Richmonder who lives in NY, so I speak from experience!
The only issue is parking. The hotel offers valet service because on-street parking is somewhat limited. That said, we didn't have a problem and certainly would not consider this an impediment.
For travelers heading for Richmond, VA, the Linden Row Inn offers comfortable accommodations set in a historic location with easy access to all that the wider Richmond area has to offer. The Linden Row Inn is actually comprised of seven row houses that date back to the 1800s. The property has been visited by many notable people over the centuries, including Edgar Allan Poe.
The Linden Row Inn offers 70 guestrooms, which includes seven suites. All guestrooms feature at least some antique furnishings and décor items from the hotel’s notably long history. However, the property does provide plenty of modern comforts, too, including air conditioning, in-room phones, private baths with showers, flat-screen TVs with satellite programming, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, and complimentary toiletries. Housekeeping services rooms daily.
On property, guests will find many amenities. The property offers complimentary wireless Internet, as well as dry cleaning and a shuttle to various points of interest around the hotel. The front desk is available 24 hours per day, and there are meeting rooms on offer, too. Parking is available on the property, and there is a coffee shop serving hot beverages and light snacks. The business center is fully equipped to keep guests productive during their stay.
Within easy reach of the property, guests will find the Virginia Capitol Building, Virginia Repertory Theatre, and the Richmond Arts District. For dining enjoyment, there are 69 options within less than a half-mile of the hotel, including Lemaire Restaurant, Mama J’s Kitchen, Perly’s, and Lucy’s Restaurant.
