Pros: New or newly remodeled. Rooms appointed nicely
Cons: Platinum for life member so have stayed in many hotels. Arrived late and although business lounge was still open couldn’t even get a coffee as the machine was out of order. To be fair I could get a yoghurt or a soda. Breakfast in the lounge was cold and frankly poorer quality than the Fairfield Inn that I stayed at the night before for half the price. Parking not monitored, parking spots set aside for “green” vehicles had the biggest gas guzzlers parked in them with no consequences.

Overview
Enjoy the peace and quiet in our King deluxe master suite that is 3 mins walk to the river and trails. Be independent in your own space, unwind and take a long soak in the spa bath, enjoy 'eating in' using your private little kitchenette, sit at the breakfast bar and enjoy the freshly roasted special blend of coffee provided by your host, or look out to the tranquil back garden from your dining room table. But most of all, get a good nights sleep on a very comfortable bed! As you are probably aware, there have been wildfires in Redding recently, and some houses in our neighborhood were unfortunately affected. When you drive down our street, you will notice four houses that were burnt to the ground. One of these houses belonged our next door neighbor. The fence adjoining our properties was burnt, and some of our plants on that side of the house have some smoke/heat damage. Be rest assured that our home and your room are all in the same excellent condition as before. We have had the entire house and ac ducts professionally cleaned and air filtered. Superb location near the river where you can go for leisurely strolls along the river trail. The neighborhood is quiet. Be independent with your own external access, private luxury bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has a sink, breakfast bar, counter space and everything you need to prepare your meals; a decent sized fridge you can stock up, microwave, coffee pot, small portable oven, induction cooking element with pots, utensils and crockery and glassware. Karina is a coffee snob and used to own her own cafe in New Zealand, so roasts her own unique blend of coffee at home which guests love! Karina thinks it's the best coffee in Redding!. Come and see what you think;) This is a great place to stay for conference attendees/visitors to Redding and gives you the opportunity to stay in and cook some basic meals yourself rather than having to eat out all the time. It is a 4.8 mile drive to Bethel. There is a very comfortable Cal King bed in the room, plus an armchair that pulls out to a bed. There is also a fold out day bed in the closet for a 4th guest. You have your own outdoor patio with chairs, comfortable Cal King bed, night stands, own private bathroom accessed through your bedroom only, small table and chairs, wifi internet, central air conditioning, off street parking outside (to the right of the garage), laundry facilities. We love to host and enjoy getting to know our guests. We also respect your privacy and need for space. We are available to answer any local questions you may have. Karina works from home (up the other end of the house) so will be there most of the time, however, may not always be available to chat.

Pros: -Very clean -Refrigerator had separate freezer compartment -Pool was clean and stayed open until 11 pm -Walls seemed fairly sound proof, but doors were not. I could hear our very loud neighbors while walking in the hall, but I couldn't hear them once in the room.
Cons: -Complimentary breakfast ends at 9 am and they were quick to remove food. A later end time would have been preferred. -It's pet friendly, so you could hear dogs barking early in the morning. -Location seems a bit remote

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is located in an area with many restaurants. They have their own restaurant and bar which was quite good. Many gas stations to fill up before hitting the road again. Nice size room and very clean with coffee provided. The buffet breakfast was quite good.
6,2 Good
Pros: I was very impressed by the fact that they have charging for both standard electric car charging but also two Tesla car charging stations. Strangely they do not advertise this fact in any of their amenities and I discovered this fact quite by accident. Had I known I would have chosen this hotel on a number of earlier trips through Redding which by the way has very few charging stations.
Cons: I have passed up this property in the past due to price however now I know I can charge my gas electric car overnight, I will prefer this hotel. I hope you do as well.
6,6 Good
Pros: It was clean and the breakfast was good.
Cons: The rooms open to the outside. It needs updating. The rooms were dark.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: very clean room, fabulous breakfast, great value for the money
6,5 Good
Pros: The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The carpet was fairly clean which is a big deal to me. The pool and hot tub are great. Breakfast was mediocre.
Cons: It looks like it used to be a dumpy motel then someone bought it and slapped a very nice face on it and made it so you couldn't see the setup of the property. It's seriously tacky. The price was a joke for what you get and for the property. The coffee maker was something that was trying to be a Keurig and failed miserably.

Pros: Beds were pretty comfortable
Cons: They didn't tell me at check in when breakfast was
4,8 Okay
Cons: WORST WORST WORST EXPERIENCE EVER ... be fore i book in this place i read the reviews and looked good while some of the reviews were pointing about the dangerous location. First night i park my car right in front of my room. Next day my car was broken into , a lot of things got stolen. If u plan to go to this horrible hotel plan to go without car or plan to let your car without any valuable (everything in my car was hidden). The worst part is when i went complain in the morning the owner was acting like something very normal and he was saying that it s more common in the other hotel (that s not professional to promote your bad hotel by saying bullshit about the others) While i was in redding to go see the nature the water falls i did not want waste my time calling 911 and doing the police report that will make me waste a lot of time. Guys just to let you know in case something wrong will happen this place they will not care about you and they will not stand by your side. A lot of drug users walk by the hotel 24/7 . I was going to the pool at 4pm i found 2 people using drugs next to the ice machine and using the same ice as the costumer of the hotel. Nobody care during the day as during the night . They only care for the money you gonna spend you get stolen you are unhappy it is not there business. I will go back to Redding for sure but THUNDERBIRD never more.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: clean, easy room
Cons: a little noisy
7,7 Good
Pros: Stayed here before, it's ok, not a five star hotel, but it's good enough. Location is nice, it's downtown, close to food and shopping.
Cons: Can get a bit noisy with the traffic. Parking is not ideal, too small, not enough spaces.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was comfortable, staff was friendly, only a little road noise to complain about but nothing a fan couldn't drown out.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Cheap, cheap, cheap. Great location. Food all around. Center of town.
Cons: Center of town comes with people. All night long on the weekends. Dinner and drinks right next store and everyone parking in the lodges spots. Had to park on the street over a block away. Rooms were redone not too long ago but the work was very poorly done and wearing. Bed was not the greatest. Cheap though.
5,1 Okay
Pros: Newer shower, flat screens, still some old charm.
Cons: If they stick you in the 300 building, it shares a parking lot with a Mexican restaurant who's dumpster's are in the alley right behind you. On the night we stayed, the trash company came to pick them up and drop them a few times starting at 5am. Would've been nice to have been told that this might have been a possibility instead of being jolted like there was a battering ram coming through the wall. You can hear big rigs moving through the area all night.

Pros: accommodating - we checked in around 1AM and the staff was pleasant as ever and quick to check me in. Bed was comfortable! There is a pool but we stayed in the wrong month to take advantage of it. No noise issues at the hotel at all. Simple checkout - just drop your key through the slot!
Cons: "Vintage" feel to the hotel - like everything was from a 70's thrift shop. Sink didn't drain, and the inside was not what I would call luxurious.
