Cons: Small elecrtic kettle with two caps would be nice to have in a room, it was not a problem to borrow it for one night from the owners ;-) 2 km distance to the neares restaurant, we were in transit, stayed for one night so this was not an isssue.
Pros: Quiet, lovely garden to relax in & a lovely host !
Cons: 35 min walk up a straight rd most people will need a car as no bus.
Pros: This object is located in a small village not far from the A1 highway (but far enough to be not affected by noise) and a short drive from the beautiful city of Melk. Frau Langthaler is very nice and helpful host. Perfect place for one night stop but also for a longer stay (e.g. cycling) in Spring or Summer.
Cons: Some people may be disappointed that there is no restaurant or shop in the village.
Pros: Clean, quiet place with nice small garden person may use. Very good breakfast with homemade and local products. Individual approach.
Cons: One bad was squeaking little bit too much
Pros: The location of the Zur Post was amazing! A step away from the abbey and Christmas market! The restaurant was outstanding! We had both breakfast and dinner there. Exceptional and very highly recommended! A true gem!!!!

The room was cozy and comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent -- they offer cooked-to-order eggs with ham or bacon, as well as the buffet. Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent. It really was a joy to be hosted by such warm friendly people!

With a stay at Wachauerhof Melk in Melk, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Melk Abbey and Schloss Schallaburg. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff, very good location, clean, very good parking options. Very good value for money.
Cons: Heating system old, it did not function. However, it was not required and the reception staff offered to find a solution. Breakfast was very basic.. I did not leave hungry, but I can't say I enjoyed it either.
Pros: Very rich and good breakfast. Very big and confortable room. Easy to find as location and close to center.
Cons: Would be good to improve the service of delivering the key for the room in case of late arrival. We received an email with the details however a picture of the seif where the key is left would be useful to be added in the mail. Also would be useful to explain that to enter the code one needs to push down the small black cover.
Pros: The Location to the Melk Abbey was amazing, we did not venture into the Old town because it was Freezing and raining. The Hotel Restaurant/Bar is under renewed management but made FANTASTIC food, incredible local beer and such a homely environment! It is a MUST to stay over for one night
Cons: Directions to the Hotel could be reviewed. We ended up walking over an hour to the hotel with our luggage as we were in transit to Vienna from Prague. It should have been a 5min walk from the train station to the hotel. No Taxi were at the station (understand - its a village). In correspondence with the hotel no taxi was available but upon arrival the ladies were very shocked and arranged a taxi (for the luggage more) for the following day
Pros: Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Restaurant was open till 8:30 pm. Close to highway. Close to abate castle. Must see for sure. Beautiful historical place.
Pros: Staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect - 10 minute slow walk to the Melk Abbey - main attraction in the area. Also 15 minute slow walk from the Danube river where boat cruises are at. Restaurant and shops are all near by.
Cons: There was nothing not too like .. except maybe the bed was too small. But, I did order room for a single person. Also, bathroom was sort of small with towels that felt really cheap.
Pros: Very pleasant and polite staff. Location is also very convenient. Wellness area is small but very nice.
Cons: Room equipment is basic, even for 3* hotel. Minibar fridge was completely empty, carpet on the floor was full of stains, although clean. Breakfast was very poor and actually the weakest point of entire stay: no any warm dish, only few types of ham and cheese and cold, hard boiled eggs; limited offer of sweets and fruits.

Pros: This very nice hotel is in the heart of the city, very clean, with very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Pros: Cozy little hotel, dolly-like cute room, kind and friendly personnel, excellent location.
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Church bells all night long Unfriendly staff
Pros: Short walk from train station. Right in the center of the old town. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good restaurant on site with nice beer. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Wifi is a bit slow but still ok.
Pros: Good breakfast and very centric location.
Pros: Location is great. Room is a bit dated but overall comfortable. Breakfast buffet is great! A great selection from the buffet table and they also provide a list to choose from like eggs, sausages and toasts. The cheese toast was great! Staff is friendly and helpful!
Cons: There is no/hardly any ventilation in the bathroom. The window is not fully covered/shield in the bathroom. If you are tall, others can see you from the other building. Prefer more privacy. No Kettle/Tea bags provided in the room.
Pros: They offered to choose 1 room out of 3 available rooms. Actually the room was upgraded. From the room chosen, Stifft Melk was seen from window! In breakfast, they have choise of warm meals on demand. I ordered tuna sandwitch, and it was accepted my child and he finished his sandwitches! (Typically my child doesn't like to have breakfast, so it was really surprising for me that he finished it) They have own coffee roastery. Cake was also nice.
Cons: For me it was not a problem, but the parking space was very narrow.
The Hotel Wachau provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. There's plenty to do nearby, with Stift Melk, and Melk all just a both distance away. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. Airport pickup can be arranged by the hotel upon request.
Pros: Nice, new place. Despite the distance and the climbing from the Danube, it had enough parking places and extra storage room for the bicycle, so I would still prefer this place against the other places close to the river.
Cons: It's on the top of the hill, it took some efforts to climb with the bicycle after a long bicycle tour.
Pros: Close to the highway, but still quiet, so ideal location for transit.
Cons: Rude staff at breakfast, the room’s door did not work so we we couldn’t close it, the shower’s door was also wrong. Not 4 star service at all.
Cons: Is away from town Centre and restaurant was not open so had to drive to find a place for dinner
Pros: Many comments I read online is about how good is the breakfast. Yes, it is very good. But the dinner in the house is far more than you can imagine. Decent!!

Pros: Comfort and staff are excellent. Close to the Abbey.

Cons: Weak wifi poor mattress
Pros: Proximity to town centre
Cons: Smoking smell came into the room.
Pros: The place was really nicely designed, and elegant. The bed was really comfy and the room was in general nice. The owners were nice and helpful.
Cons: Maybe the fact that we couldn't pay by card. Thats all I guess.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The location was excellent. And it was easy to find. I was very happy with my stay there.
Cons: Everything was fine.

Pros: Good breakfast and option for add on buffet dinner. Nice Room Helpful Staff Good Bike storage
Cons: No Wifi in room
Pros: The staff were very nice even though we arrived really early and there was a table tennis table to play! The garden was a nice area to relax
Cons: The room of 4 bunk beds were slightly small although its alright for a hostel. Cleaniness not the best.
Pros: The location is good, very close to a big shopping mall, easy access to supermarket and shops. Staff is nice and friendly.
Cons: No air conditioning...especially in a hot summer night. A little bit close the road so many cars travelled by at night. When I cannot close the window, that seem a bit noisy.
Pros: Super personal, very clean everywhere. Special room for bicycle. Really quiet in the night (very unusual for me:-) ) Really surprise from great breakfast.
Cons: No WIFI in the room.
