Pros: Great location of hotel with possibility of parking nearby. The old building is very interesting. And the breakfast is excellent.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Cozy hotel in the heart of old town. Tasty breakfast. Verry friendly and helpful hosts. We went later of check-in time and it was no problem, informed the hotel and received code from the door. It verry helped us and was important. Opposite the hotel is turistic train stop. You can go by this train thrue nice historic streets and listen to the tour in german. The tour is 40 minutes long.

Pros: A stunning place - the pictures don't do it justice! It's a modern take on a traditional building in a perfect location and a great breakfast...all for a very reasonable price. I'd come again!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location Comfortable Great value Helpful staff
Cons: Cannot think of any
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We are extensive travellers and this now rates as one of our favourite hotels. A lovely old building but with modern comforts, very simply but tastefully decorated and with a very cosy and pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast was very nicely presented with plenty of choice and quality produce in a lovely candlelit room that seemed to have Scandinavian influences. The hotel was right in the centre of the beautiful town which we enjoyed walking around and exploring. Thoroughly recommended.
Cons: Having to leave.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very cute building
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything great!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind. This hotel is very near market plaza and city hall. The room was small but was comfortable and we slept well.

7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful. Liked the location and the food.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the main square and hotel's charm (see, torn!). My room was not overlooking main square and was very quiet. Bathroom was renovated with great shower. Great breakfast. Free parking (there are 2 parking options. Paid at the hotel and free parking is really close. 200-300m?). Kind staff!
Cons: The room I spent the night was outdated... It is charming (I am torn here) but... Found only 1 socket near the bed (had to unplug the night lamp). Could have been a bit cheaper.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: - Old-time hotel, great style - Fantastic location - Great breakfast
Cons: - Bathroom a bit tiny
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable location right on the square. Very helpful staff and great size rooms. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: OK, it is a boutique hotel in a medieval building, so you'll have squeaky and somewhat uneven floors. Modern bathrooms, though. Super friendly staff - when I said that I'll be leaving very early to catch my train, they made me a brownbag lunch instead of the breakfast I missed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful hotel, very friendly helpful staff and good car parking. Food excellent with a fantastic selection for breakfast.
Cons: Absolutely nothing I did not like.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable, quiet room, good buffet breakfast, friendly staff
Cons: Nice historic hotel but no elevator so you have to take the stairs.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The city, the history, the old buildings, the view from my window, the breakfast was great, the feeling of being in the eleventh century.
Cons: The hotel doesn't have elevators.... but how could it be, being dated from the 8th century?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is is the perfect location right in the town center. The breakfast was free and ELABORATE-not your typical toast and oatmeal type buffet. The room was clean and had a great view.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location below rhe cathedral, but away from the main streets. Beautifully restored historic building. Generous breakfast that was available for a long time in the morning (7-11 if I remember right). The best part of the stay though was the extremely friendly and attentive staff that exceed any expectations. Both at our late arrival, breakfast and check-out we met smiles and highly professional attitudes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Central to town Great breakfast And good value for money
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: View from room and right next door to the Dom and Schloss
Cons: An elevator would be nice. For senior citizens there should be a question that would provide access to a ground floor instead of climbing 4 floors with 2 large suitcases.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location in what is an amazing historical city. So close to everything that we wanted to see and do
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff behave like friends. Location like fairy tale.

Cons: While there was wifi, signal weak and intermittent.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms with lots of character and very well decorated. The restaurant had excellent food and the hosts who run both the hotel and restaurant were wonderful!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in room 3 which was at the tippy top of the building. Lots and lots of stairs. The room itself had a double bed, decent sized bath (German Standards), a fridge, coffee maker, silverware, dishes, etc and table. Then there were more stairs up to,the loft where there was a sofa, chair and tv. Very quaint. This is not a luxury hotel but it was lovely, right in the old town, quiet and walking distance to everything. The restaurant downstairs was great, we ate there both nights.
Cons: Having to take the baggage down the stairs.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Massive amount of stairs. Uncomfortable low cieling. No equipped for hot weather. The kitchen wasn't a kitchen- no sink no bowls stoves and so on.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owners.
Cons: I would not take any English-speaking guests to Quedlinburg again--no tours in English :( The parking was good but it would be better if its location were described before one tries to drive to or near (lots of no cars allowed streets) the hotel. Deco = shabby chic , cute.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful gothic enormous building, large rooms , starched linens on bountiful breakfast tables, lovely friendly staff.
Cons: No elevator.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location is very closed to downtown, thus it is easy to access every time. Breakfast serving time is from 8 as standard, but they kindly served it at a half an hour before 8 because I should leave the hotel at 8. Thanks a lot.
Cons: The hotel does not have elevator system, but I could accept the condition because other than it, all were well,
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic mansion in beautiful location, lovely host
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic late 1800s castle hotel, 200 yards from the main, market street in the old city. Faboulus staff, clean, historic adventure like, with armour figures in the passages, huge parklike garden. I will highly recommend this great hotel and the very close by city of Quedlinburg with all the amazing, very old buildings.
Cons: Nothing !
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing. The bathroom stank to the extent it was stomach churning. The smell affected the whole room making it impossible to sleep. We asked for a room change but they said it was fully booked. When we complained about the smell nothing was done. This establishment should be removed from booklng.com.
Cons: Everything. See before.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for 4 nights and used the hotel as a base o explore the Harz Mountains. The room was great, beds comfortable, breakfast buffet was bountiful. The staff greeted me with a perfectly crafted cappuccino each morning. The owner gave us a tour of the off-hotel aspects of the mansion as well as the tower. A must stay place.
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel building was really nice and had a lot of history. Ensuite was nice
Cons: The hotel exterior and the suite I was in desperately needs refurbishing. Cobwebs on the light fittings but elsewhere was clean. Old bedroom furniture and out of keeping with this period house, other than chairs and settee which were nice.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and grounds with fabulous rooms

Cons: On arrival, the front door might be closed and nobody present. No reason to panic. Just ring the receptionist, even better, do it before you arrive. You will find the telephone number next to the door but should it be dark, you might need a torch.
7,5 Good
Pros: Lots of parking, even for our large 9-passenger van.
Cons: Office is closed during check-in hours. Another guest had to instruct us on how to get our keys. Thankfully they came around when we were ringing the doorbell to the property.

Hotel Garni Am Dippeplatz - Quedlinburg - Building
8
8,8 Excellent (401 reviews)
R1 393+
Overview Reviews
Our hotel Am Dippelplatz, built in half- timbered house style is located in the centre of the Old Town and in one of the oldest streets of Quedlinburg, That street is leading directly to the lively market square. Many sights, restaurants and cafès are in walking distance.
7,5 Good
Pros: Large bedroom, good location for town centre.
Cons: No lifts in the hotel. Sixty steep steps, a long way to climb to the 4th floor, though the proprietor carried our heavy suitcase to it on arrival. No wi-fi during our 4 day stay, seems to have been a longstanding problem. Well situated for town centre, but not for arrival by train, quite a long walk trundling a suitcase over cobbled streets.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Except wifi problem, everything was very good: location is great (old town, but plenty of parking space for free), breakfast was good, rooms very spacious with comfortable beds. Lovely old restored house. Recommended!
Cons: The only problem (minor) was that wifi did not work on the 2nd floor (in our room at least).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: room, food, and location
Cons: street noise in our room was a bit loud
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This was exactly what we wanted and expected and is why we chose to visit old out of the way Germany. Charm and originality was the order of the day at the Dippeplatz as it provided a well preserved step back in time. The location was just the right distance for a brisk walk to the Markt and all of the charm that Quedlinburg has to offer. This was our first venture into this part of the Germany...out of the way Germany and this hotel gave us a very good introduction.
Cons: Our traveling connections went awry and attempting to communicate with limited or no German was a challenge...all went well in the end but there was anxiety and we had to become resourceful using our own means to ensure we secured the room, but after all this is old Germany....
7,5 Good
Pros: Big comfortable room, full of character in a historic building. Convenient position with good parking.
Cons: Could have done with a light in the sitting area and a kettle, but these are minor things.
7,9 Good
Pros: Quaint old building in very central location Free off street parking Nice breakfast
Cons: Overall appearance seems quite tired. Over bath shower under sloping ceiling Long hike up creeky old stairs to attic bedroom
7,9 Good
Pros: The rooms were comfortable and very clean, although I don't know why they took out the bed linen every day, so you had to redo the bed again every day...
Cons: No English speakers in the staff. Badly decorated.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: location, historical building, kind staff
Cons: wifi too weak
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice old style, well decorated. Not cheesy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We loved the room - very large and comfortable with a nice homely feel. Fantastic view out on to the square. Location very quiet apart from the intermittant ringing of church bells from across the road. Our bed was comfortable and the kitchen would of been handy for doing some cooking should our stay had been a little longer. We were pleasingly surprised when our room was made up the following morning as we didnt expect this and they provided us with a more suitable pillow to meet our NZ tastes, without us having to ask. Great pub next door that served cheap but quality beers and traditional German food. Owner was able to speak some english so that was very useful. Breakfast was a typical German fare - cold buffet with beautiful meats, bread, pickles and cheeses with cereal available as well. We would of liked to have stayed longer and would definitely stay here should we get the chance to visit the Harz mountains again..
Cons: No air conditioning in room. The weather was very warm (heat wave) during our stay. But we do realise the age of the building and historical status would make this addition difficult. Church bells started ringing at 6am in the morning which made it difficult to sleep in.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Large room with kitchen, comfortable beds and very good breakfast
Cons: -

Pros: The position, very near to city centre The parking near the hotel at only 3 Euros per day The hotel is an historic half timbered house
Cons: The staff speak only German and some (very few) words in English It may happen having to wait to have breakfast, because there is no place available (and the staff seems not being interested in the issue: our impression was the staff attitude was something like "There is no place in the breakfast room: well it's your problem not ours) The room is below international standard for a 3 stars hotel, more like an expansive 2 stars hotel
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Quaint and characterful. Beautiful old building. Good secure car park. Breakfast was nice. Family room was great, with a separated section for my son's bed - nice touch. Owner was very helpful and welcoming. Even though she spoke no English and I spoke no German we seemed to manage OK!
Cons: Room was very hot, even with all windows open. I realise air con is not possible in an old building, but maybe even an electric fan would have helped.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Silent, comfortable room, good breakfast
Cons: Nothing, as all was good
9,2 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant stay in an old building with lots of features, a lovely wooden staircase, quirky doors. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. Hotel Garni Zum Goldenen Ring - Quedlinburg - Building

8,2 Excellent (792 reviews)
R1 026+
Overview Reviews
This family-run hotel is located in the heart of the Medieval town of Quedlinburg, within walking distance of the train station, market place and the castle. First mentioned in 1820, Hotel Garni zum Goldenen Ring offers cosily furnished rooms for 1-4 people. All rooms include a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. A breakfast buffet is available each morning. The Hotel Garni zum Goldenen Ring is a good base for exploring the Old Town, which is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site, and also for discovering the wonderful scenery of the surrounding Harz Mountains.
7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent location near everything in Quedlinburg. Easy street parking nearby. Friendly staff. Dog-friendly hotel. Simple but very breakfast.
Cons: The mattress was way too soft, very uncomfortable. The curtains let a lot of light in. The room was hot, and we couldn't keep the windows open because of the noise from party-goers late at night, and from delivery trucks early in the morning. Extremely noisy. In order to keep the windows closed, we needed to ask for a fan, which was promptly provided.
7,9 Good
Cons: poor WiFi reception in private quarters
7,5 Good
Pros: excellent location, good breakfast friendly staff,
Cons: disappointed with room size very small, shower was good but again small shower cubicle, would have been nice to have had coffee making facility in room. No bar in the hotel.
7,5 Good
Pros: Clean and convenient location. I had a single room which was bigger than I was expecting.
Cons: Bed and pillow were too soft, uncomfortable sleep. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but ok.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The bar area closed at 6pm and the breakfast was a bit basic!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Garni zum Goldenen Ring exceeded our expectations. We rented the top floor apartment (very, very good price) and found it to be clean, modern, bright, and totally what we were looking for. It was perfect for four adults. The sitting room is a bonus, as are the very handy "roof" windows, which actually afford some very nice views. We found plenty of electrical outlets for all our devices. We found everything we needed in the kitchenette except a bottle opener / corkscrew. Fruhstuck was fabulous and the hotel has a very nice dining room. The staff is very friendly and competent. We had a car, and found that the hotel has a little private parking lot off the road, which was most convenient. The location is superb, just a short block off of the town square and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops, and even the Schloss and the very beautiful old part of town around the Schloss. If you have big luggage, be aware that there is no lift, but hey, the stairs make for good exercise. Quedlinburg is a gem, and we will be returning at some time in the future. If you go, be sure to look into the history of Quedlinburg; it is most interesting.
Cons: Nothing. It was super experience.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room is clean and convenience. The bathroom is big and clean. The breakfast has a lot of options and very nice. The hotel location next to main market square and tourist attractions.
7,9 Good
Pros: On the edge of old town, easy walking to main centre and restaurants. Good shower.
Cons: Breakfast fairly ordinary. Parking difficult and access poor. Stairs - no lift and no offer of help with cases. Old wooden floors creaky, noise transmits to other rooms. Few TV stations.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were great and very helpful, the location was perfect, the beds were awesome and the breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.
Cons: Our room was very hot. We asked for a fan and that helped. Internet was extremely spotty in our room but we could access better on 2nd floor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were large. There was an extra space for dining with a fridge. The staff were super friendly, including the cleaning staff who loved to chat and always had a smile
Cons: The breakfast, coffee was disgusting and very cheap/poor quality bread, cereals, 'pastries'. There was homemade jam, which was amazing.

7,1 Good
Pros: Friendly breakfast service
Cons: Synthetic bedsheets induce night sweats
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and comfortable (aside from the heat). There was a small kitchen area to prepare our own food and drink. The owners were very friendly and helpful, although I spoke with them in German so not sure what their English is like.
Cons: It was incredibly hot whilst we were there and our apartment could have benefit from Aircon or another few fans to cool it down. The walk into town was a bit of a trek with a small child.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was large. The ability to sit outside in a garden and relax as it was in a residential area. Breakfast good as individually made by owners wife
Cons: The proprietor lived nearby and only spoke German and did not seem to be expecting us when we telephoned him. Bathroom was rather small and the kitchen etc. facilities which we thought were available for sole use were shared with five other rooms. As residential area no bars or restaurants nearby
6,0 Good
Pros: The city center is 20 min walk away from the pension. Nice hospitable hosts, good breakfast. A small family enterprise - a cottage with a couple of rooms for the guests. Located in a very quiet area.
Cons: There was no TV in the room, the Internet access is also very limited. Price is higher that you would expect for this type of pension (probably because it is calculated per person per night, not per room per night).
7,7 Good
Pros: Nice little apartment hotel where everything worked nicely. Nice and clean room, friendly owner (although my Deutsch isn't very good but we got everything managed well), very good value for money.
6,0 Good
Pros: breakfast, information about the city

7,1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great with a large choice, fresh bread rolls and croissant, and various local produce. . The wellness area, included in the price ( except the personal treatments), was extensive and good. The comfort double room was almost like a suite.
Cons: No coffee in the room. The entrance of the hotel is not very welcoming, in between the uphill parking lots.. Walking to the city center is a good 15 minutes, which is fine, but not a nice area to walk through. Price for the comfort double room is fine, for the standard it is relative expensive.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was in order. We had nothing to complain. The spa, wellness area, sauna, pool are in outstanding condition. It’s just fantastic to go for a swim after a busy day.
Cons: Only thing: it is a bit far from the city center, about 20 min per foot. But this didn’t really bother us.

Pros: Very friendly staff, good view from 3rd Floor rooms to the City, nice pool and Sauna.

Pros: The hotel was very quaint and charming. Walking up four flights to the attic unit was unexpected. We were glad they had provided a fan. The iPad with games was nice.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The room was very unclean

Pros: Excellent location in the center of Quedlinburg. Easy parking arrangement- excellent directions provided. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast.

Pros: Excellent hotel and upstairs family room with view of market square was amazing. Very authentic stay with modern bathroom and amenities. The lady on reception in the afternoon and again in the morning was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Her English was perfect which made check in and check out easy. Assistance is offered with your luggage up the stairs if required. Gluten free bread was provided to our table at breakfast as I made a request at booking. Would love to come back in winter to experience the Christmas market. Highly recommend as an authentic and relaxing stay.

Pros: We got what was probably a budget room under the roof, however it was nonetheless large and comfortable. The location is optimal and you can park in the courtyard (for a fee).
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Central. Clean. No frills
6,3 Good
Pros: The breakfast buffet was very good. The location of the hotel is excellent. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was very small for the price and not what I expected. In the booking, it said there was a large double bed. There were two separate mattresses on a bed base - this is NOT a double bed! The bathroom could have been cleaner, especially the shower cubicle.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location
Cons: A little impersonal
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was great and the location quiet close to the central square. Lot of cute shops were around as well as restaurants.

5,4 Okay
Pros: No bilingual staff proved problematic on multiple levels.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location was great. Breakfast was good
Cons: The bed was very hard. And the receptionist staff were not very friendly or helpful. The hotel has a bar but it is very gloomy and we never saw anyone in it. When we came home one night, not late, and asked if we could have a drink, the receptionist was so rude that we walked out and found somewhere else more welcoming. Also cleaning material was left lying around the corridors which isn’t very professional.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, well-appointed hotel located in an extended historic building on the edge of the historic centre, 10 minutes walk from the station and with excellent breakfast buffet
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quedlinburg is without doubt one of the most picturesque towns we have visited and Wyndham Garden Stadtschloss just added that special touch to our visit.
Cons: Nothing

9,2 Excellent
Pros: very convinient location - 1 minute walk from the train station. room looked exactly like in the picture, was enough space for 2 people. On top to that I would especially mention personnel - they let us check in 2 hours earlier official check in time and also they let us spend one hour in their cafe, even it was closed, while we were waiting our train, since original train was cancelled.
Cons: was some issues with hot water in the shower
9,2 Excellent
Pros: As we arrived late the management arranged so that we could pick up our keys anyway. Spacious rooms. Good breakfast. The place is being renovated so it will probably great in the future.

3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Was ok for 2 nights.
Cons: The cleaning was not stanfard. Breakfast: getting a clean table, you have to jave Luck. The staff likes to discuss. And at all next time i will go to Hotel am Brühl few meters further and with much better food. Die Reinigung ist ärmlich im bad ist schimmel und beim frühstück einen sauberen tisch zu finden ist schwierig.
6,0 Good
Pros: The hotel is an a good location, the rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good, there is free parking.
Cons: The room price is quite high, there is no free access to internet at the hotel.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly & helpful staff, lovely hotel and environment. Clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent food and service in the restaurant. Easy walking to the old town, and to the countryside.
5,0 Okay
Pros: We stayed in an apartment room, it was very comfortable and the facilities in the room were good, we didn't end up cooking for ourselves but there was plenty of equipment, and a full sized fridge. The breakfast was excellent, a really good selection of local specialities as well as what you would expect to see.
Cons: During our 3 night stay our room was not cleaned at all, the bins were not even emptied and in fact though the bathroom was clean when we arrived there was still some rubbish in the bin in there(underpants actually). I don't know whether this was because it was an apartment room, and whether this is normal for this type of room, but i would have liked to have had the bins emptied at the least, and ideally the bathroom cleaned. Our room was also very noisy on account of the proximity of the main road, however the location was excellent for the schloss and dom.
