Pros: Location, cleanliness, all night coffee bar.
Cons: no fresh milk
Pros: Low key and quiet, Ocean front with lounge chairs near beach for viewing. Evening fire pit. Walking meditation circle. Friendly staff.
Cons: Beds adequate but could be more comfortable.
Pros: Loved the house. Great place for 2 families to hang out and enjoy some serious down time. Beautiful property.
Cons: Loved the privacy.
Pros: The location was great, with nice views of the ocean. It had a nice common outside area in front of the water, with places to sit, and a fire pit. Providing cups that could be washed and reused was very eco-friendly.
Pros: Location was great. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Staff was friendly. Appreciated the coffee and tea available at all times. Checking in and out was easy and quick.
Cons: The blankets had large visible stains. On both beds! Walls were paper thin. You could hear everything from anybody around you. People walking in the hallway, opening any door, or even people making coffee downstairs. You could hear everything going on outside as well (our room overlooked the parking lot), people walking and talking anywhere in the parking lot. Including the highway traffic, all night long. Room was right beside the laundry room and it actually shook the room when appliances came on. Literally the worst sleep I've ever had outside a Super 8 motel. Not what I would consider a "resort" level room or building. The place was half empty. I understand charging more for a room with a view. I don't agree with having to pay extra just to get a goodnight's sleep.
Pros: The location is nice, but there were a few things that I would Have liked to have changed. I noticed no coffee in the rooms (there is coffee 24/7 in the lobby which is fine), no blow dryer, no AC (at least in my room), and the front desk is only open 8am-8pm. When we made the reservation I said 2 adults, but we only had one key, which made it difficult because we typically only got back to our room after 8pm and we were up doing stuff before 8 also. There is no food that I know of, all I saw to purchase was some chocolate bars and chips. Be sure to pack snacks.
Cons: Ocean side, quiet, clean, generally a really nice place to stay overall.
Cons: The only thing I would change would be to have coffee pot in the room.

Pros: The best breakfast ever! ..and not just a carbs breakfast... fry an egg or omelet... such a great spread.
Cons: Pillows were a little tall and spongy for my taste, so my neck hurt, but other than that, just perfect!!!
Cons: The top bedding was full of hair.
Pros: The breakfast was the best I have seen on the island. You can make your own omelet. Visit
Cons: No exercise gym but stairs made up for it.
Pros: The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable and it is pet friendly
Pros: The staff are friendly and accommodating. I had a fully equipped suite so was able to cook meals there for visiting family and it was also big enough so that there was space to visit. The continental breakast provides a lot of variety.
Cons: Nothing. Bathroom is a little small but still very managable.
Pros: The staff are so friendly, breakfast (free) was great. I had a suite and it was amazing. Will definitely be booking here on future trips. The seawalk is just across the road - nice for a stroll
Cons: Is not air conditioned but still was not uncomfortable. - my stay was at the later part of June/19 and the weather was not overly hot.
Pros: Right on the ocean
Pros: We appreciated the cleanliness and the cheerful, helpful staff. Also enjoyed the breakfast.
Cons: Unfortunately a light on a neighbouring buiding shone quite brightly into the room, turning on and off frequently during the night. Some of the furniture is older and could use refreshing. The old bedsides lamps were in disrepair.....but management tells us they are working on upgrades.
A stay at Coast Discovery Inn places you in the heart of Campbell River, within a 5-minute walk of Campbell River Visitor Centre and Tidemark Theatre. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Bed was extremely comfortable! Very quiet despite staying there for New Years Eve :)
Cons: Wasn't too impressed with the complimentary breakfast.. When I arrived downstairs to eat they had run out of coffee :( Ended up just having some orange juice then went to get breakfast elsewhere.
Pros: Clean modern rooms. Well situated in Campbell river. The price is good
Cons: No AC in the room Campbell river has zero interest if you are not a salmon fisher
Pros: Decent free breakfast! Nice scrambled eggs!

Cons: Despite having been asked for room suitable for mobility impaired guest, I was given a room 5 1/2 sets of stairs above elevator to the dining room. Staff member at check out said that should never have happened, but it did. We won’t stay there again.
Pros: Location and price were great but the best part is the ocean view,
Cons: Being on the second floor meant getting back in your car and driving to bottom parking lot or taking a whole bunch of stairs to get to elevator.
Pros: The room was very clean and to our expectations, staff were friendly and they had a heated swimming pool on site.
Cons: We thought we would try out the on site restaurant for dinner, for ease with our 5 month old baby. The restaurant was nice, we ordered and waited almost 1.5 hours for our food. I had the special for the night surf and turf, lobster and steak. Eventually when the meal arrived, I was given a small medallion of steak, a lobster tail which was cold, like really cold. Two small cubes of sweet potatoes, one small peice of broccoli and one bit of cauliflower with a baked potatoe. This dish was the special and was on menu for 42 bucks, not cheap by any means but I expected a meal, that was firstly not cold and actually had some food on the plate to fill me up. I complained about the dish and was given a measly 10 bucks of dinner, by this time I'd eaten barely nothing and was still hungry. With no hope of getting more food with the possible wait time of over an hour. We left shortly afterwards, well after paying the 152 dollar bill, even with the 10 dollars off. -Well I must mention breakfast, briefly. 10 minutes to be seated, one staff member working the whole room, 15 minutes to get coffee, asking for a manager and being told there is not one. We spent nearly 30 minutes waiting for coffee, having not had our order taken for food either we decided to leave in the hope of finding a manager at the front desk. Overall we stayed at this hotel on the cheap, 90 bucks on booking which I use a lot. We played over 150 for an evening meal and we didn't have the included breakfast as we would have had to wait probably 1.5 hours. We were given 10 dollars off dinner and given a 14 dollar voucher for breakfast, 7 dollars each. Overall the hotel was not good, I mean as far as a room goes you can't get much wrong with that, it's a bed right. But the hotel restaurant should of been the jule but it was awful.
Pros: Everyone was super always love stayinhvthere
Cons: It was hood sad part restraunt had to manything of our aleegies bur were very kind
Cons: Poor parking and access for larger vehicles. Looks like they started renovating room but quit. Musty smelling and views over old roofs.
Pros: Very nice ocean view
Cons: Sheets hadn't been changed (hair in the sheets) and tub hadn't been cleaned. After arriving at the first room slotted to us we found the room still I cleaned, 2nd room looked fine but once we moved in realized it wasn't. It's a very tired and quite unfriendly hotel. We wouldn't go back.
Pros: The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and friendly . I had to have surgery the next day and they were really understanding of what I was able to do and accommodated me.
Cons: It took a long time for the shower to get hotter.
Pros: Beds and pet friendly. Ammenities.Breakfast was deliscious.Pool. Spa. sliding doors to a balcony.
Cons: Elevator and stairs. Trying to navigate in building. Better signage needed. People smoking and throwing cig butts right on front and Lobby entrances. Need security for front desk lobby was loud and front desk clerk did not describe anything due to being distracted by intoxicated and abusive guests re: room location and breakfast location. parking. wifi. etc. etc. long way to bring luggage into building to a cart. On going renos of carpey and paint. Corridors need cleaning. Laminate floor in room was cold on top of cement, suggest rubber back area rugs for beside beds and in front of doorway and in tile bathroom. Window style Heater not working to capacity of room size. Assigned parking would be nicer. Noticed longterm residents outside smoking right beside building. No appropriate or safe location to put out cigs. Cannabis smell from room next door.
Pros: Great view, clean room, great staff
Cons: Elevator didn't go up to lobby
Pros: My room had a large balcony over looking the ocean. Quite a special view. The restaurant in the hotel serves great food at reasonable prices and the discounted breakfast for guests is well worth it.
Cons: The heater/ac unit was really noisy in my room. I had to get up in the middle of the night and just plug it out. Luckily it wasn’t too cold
Pros: Balconies. Restaurant had great food and great service. Everything you need in one place.
Cons: They didn’t give us enough breakfast coupons, restaurant wasn’t happy about it.
Pros: The view of the inlet, the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and fresh. The restaurant was handy and the food was awesome. I was there for tests at the hospital and the staff were helpful in giving directions.
Cons: They don't have room service that is delivered to the room. But we were there during the winter months.

Cons: Breakfast was not that great. I wish they had eggs.
Pros: Good location for exploring Campbell River
Cons: Dated accommodation that needs an update. Great view from restaurant but the food is greasy spoon quality at best. Facility didn't place us in the room we booked.
Pros: Great location for activities, lovely views of water. Old fashioned charm.
Cons: All good.
Pros: Amazing location..but tired , although we found out it is closing over winter for renovations
Cons: Tired old bathroom with leaking tap Could sweep the paths , so as not covered in squashed/ trodden berries.
Pros: Breakfast was more than expected. Continental breakfast was great, was included in the room pricing. everything was fresh.
Pros: Views and location. Quiet and comfortable accommodation.
Cons: Had to change rooms during stay and had no room access from 7am to 4pm on change day. Not good for the price we paid.
Pros: Quietness Serenity
Cons: Nothing apart from unfortunate poor weather

Pros: Not fancy but clean and comfortable

Cons: Paid extra for kitchenette, son also got a room without and the rooms both had a hotplate and microwave. Got ripped off by paying extra for what everyone else got for free!
Cons: They charge an extra $200 if you pay by debit/cash as for a 'damage deposit' and refund it after you check out. So be financially prepared if you go that route.

Pros: A great motel, close to good fishing, not far from the ferry to Quadra island and an excellent base for exploring the area. It was a bit older but clean, well kept and excellent value for the money spent.
Pros: Breakfast was great. Great that it was available at 5 am.
Cons: Cleanliness of room was terrible. Carpet was filthy. Bathroom ceiling was filthy, mold on ceiling and around top of shower unit.
Pros: It had all the basics for a self contained stay The bed was comfortable
Cons: Wasn’t told about the dry room that was available
Pros: Great value for money, handy location, friendly staff
Pros: Was close to hwy and easy to get on and off.

Pros: First off the owners were great. Had a super early flight next morning and the owner drove us for much cheaper than the taxi. Its small but perfect. Right on the coast with beach access. Very comfortable and would definitely stay again.
Cons: Its not really in walking distance to anything but they've got a full kitchen so as long as you plan ahead its perfect.
Pros: The location was great for what we needed. The staff was wonderful and the suite was very clean. The views from the property are gorgeous. There was a stairway down to the beach, but due to the weather we weren’t able to check it out.
Cons: Unfortunately the suites are very dated and need a good facelift. If you only needed to stay for one night - great, but any longer, I’d go elsewhere.
Pros: Good location, great staff, beautiful view, nice room, comfortable and clean, a bit smaller than expected but overall very good.
Cons: All was well, except the credit card machine would not work and we had to pay cash. This was inconvenient but we managed.

Cons: The bed requires a larger size of sheets; flannel would be be awesome in the cooler months.
Pros: The bed was OK, the bathroom was not proper done.
Cons: The room was not properly cleannadmaintrnsncr
Pros: We enjoyed the one bedroom suite and the room it allowed us to have our daughter come and visit. The beach was great. Saw lots of star fish and other sea creatures.
Cons: The unit had a smell, maybe an old motel smell. Also there were 104 stairs to the ocean. My husband counted them. We were not aware of this before arriving.

Pros: Mattress was soft, good for my bad hip. Pillows were terrible. Big chunky bits if foam.
Cons: The people living in the hotel. Witnessed a woman picking through garbage and picking up cigaret butts she took inside . She was barely dressed. I know people need a place to live , but we were charged far too much for the condition of the room. Bathroom was still under construction..
Cons: Internet was terrible!!
Pros: Everybody was friendly, great location downtown
Cons: The place was filthy. There were all sorts of street people hanging around outside (and inside the lobby). More than one person told me to make sure that I took everything off my bike overnight, and to park it where it was on camera. The whole place felt unsafe, from the people hanging around to the state of the inside. The window didn’t close properly, there was unfinished work in the bathroom And blood on the bedsheets. Disgusting. I have paid half as much for better rooms, wouldn’t be able to recommend this hotel to any of my friends, sorry.
Cons: the place was DIRTY WE HAD NO MAID SERVICE ..SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T FEEL GOOD SO DIDN'T MAKE UP THE ROOM .WE SLEPT ON TOP OF THE BED ..THE SHEETS WERE NOT CLEAN NEITHER WAS THE BATHROOM . THE PLACE WAS FOR THE HOMELESS THERE WAS ALOT OF DIRTY DRUG PEOPLE HANGING AROUND.
Pros: Amazing staff. Super easy check in and check out. Room was clean but you could tell it has been smoked in. Perfect location
Pros: Very rough unsafe hitel
Cons: The beds had bed bugs, the heating was faulty, no wifi or cable tv on the 3rd floor although it was advertised as having it and the room was filthy. Dead flys in the window sills and blood stains on the pillow covers and sheets. I asked for a room transfer after night one and the staff were very accomodating and apologetic. Unfortunately the new room was also invaded by bed bugs and faulty heating. I checked out 1 night early ☹️
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Hab some bed bugs!! Got our money back after leaving the room in the middle of the night. Had no towles, toiletpaper, soap etc in the bathroom.
Pros: It's right downtown close to all kinds of amenities and a block from the water.
Cons: The pop machines on each floor don't work; the elevator is iffy; the thermostat in my room was broken and it was in the full on "On" position so it was brutally hot in my room even with the windows wide open.
