I chose the hotel because it was supposed to be pet friendly. That was an outright lie! I have a small hand held Chihuahua and we were we only allowed in certain outside areas of restaurant, nowhere near the pool, and not allowed to leave dog in room even if sleeping in carrier. Don't advertise that you are "pet friendly" because it is an outright LIE! We caused no problems and we were treated poorly!
Housekeeper was friendly and efficient.
Nothing in the room worked. Phones and safe didn’t work. We were told to use the speaker. Pool said it closed at 10 and we were removed at 9. Pool staff was unfriendly.
All facilities such as swimming pools, spa, restaurants and bars
Pool closes to early
The staff is extremely friendly. Very helpful and polite. The rooms are a nice size. Room service 24hrs a day and the pools are great.
They charge for the coffee that’s in your room. Most hotels provide the in room coffee and tea as complimentary. The “Starbucks” in the lobby has terrible pastries. I am under the impression they don’t get many patrons, therefore they don’t make fresh pastries often which is terrible. Our first night we stayed on the first floor near the sewage. We were awaken by an alarming noise like the plumbing in the shower was going to explode. Luckily, the staff was very helpful an accommodating. They moved us to a new room the following morning without issues. The final thing that that I did not care for was the attempt to up-sell. I understand that this is apart of their job but it can be pretty annoying when they are persistent. You will be appointed a concierge and they will contact you via email a few weeks before your arrival. In the email they will give you great tips especially the one about avoiding the solicitors at the airport. This resort does not provide their patrons with transportation but the solicitors at the airport will lie just to get you to agree to visit their resort in the hopes that you will purchase a time share. When I got to the airport I made sure to give the solicitors a firm NO and proceeded to getting an uber. At the resort I checked in and I was told to return later in the day to speak with my appointed concierge because they have something special for me. After getting settled in I returned downstairs to meet my concierge and guess what?! My special gift was a free bag which I appreciated but I was also being asked if I could set aside 2-3 hours to hear about their private homes on the resort. Sounded very similar to the solicitors at the airport that they reminded us to stay clear of. It all made sense. They wanted us to agree to their pitch opposed to the outside companies. They even promised to match whatever promotion we were told at the airport. I go on vacation to relax and enjoy myself.
