Cons:Not All inclusive. Bar tender always missing from the bar in the pool.

Pros:1. Proximity to beach 2. The staff was amazing and friendly, very accomodating 3. Pool was great 4. Restaurant onsite was great 5. Could pay for things with credit card 5. Room was nice
Cons:1. Proximity to beach was good but Playa Dorada is far from the main City of Puerto Plata, so a cab costs 17$ if arranged by the hotel (or $35 round trip)... you can negotiate in town for cheaper though 2. The hotel is great, but again the location may be kind of boring if you are looking to go into quickly/cheaply at night... good for families or people who just want to relax 3. There is no where to buy some snacks, beers, etc (like a mini mart or colmado) to bring back to your room. They do have room service and you can get drinks at their bar til 12am (reasonably priced too) but if you want some other snakcs and such on hand you will have to go into town.
