10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was more than perfect, from breakfast to going to sleep. The staff ,especially Otto Nemes made our stay unforgetful
5,8 Okay
Cons: Was charged for 1 children the same price as 1 adult (when there's a special tariff for children under 13), because I made the reservation in Booking and the option 1 adult + 1 children isn't present.
7,0 Good
Cons: - We are four people and shower gel only for 2 during the all 5 days, and during 2 days was Zero - The four restaurants available in the resort, only 2 are really available - the system to change the towels is very annoying - The schedule for the restaurants is to aggressive for vacation time
Vila Baleira - Hotel Resort & Thalasso Spa - Porto Santo - Bedroom
8,6 Excellent (1 473 reviews)
R1 389+
Overview Reviews
Located in Porto Santo, Vila Baleira Hotel Resort & Thalasso Spa is by the sea, a 1-minute drive from Porto Santo Beach and 5 minutes from Pico Ana Ferreira. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved everything about Vila Baleira, from the staff the service, the location the 5 starts amenities
8,3 Excellent
Pros: good relaxing escape in the winter time long sand beach
Cons: not so much to do on the island in general hard to choose food for small kids (not oriented on small kids) poor animation activites for kids
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location in a quiet part, the beaches, entertainment at the hotel
Cons: I thought the food was a bit the same for example tomato pasta everyday, veg soup everyday. Not much choice for vegetarians.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: As a vegan family we were very happy (and surpriser) that the staff got vegan butter and ”milk”. The chefs prepared special food for us (lunch and dinner). We didn’t expect that at all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
7,0 Good
Pros: The staff was helpful. When we were too tired after arrival to have lunch in the buffee, I was allowed to take something to our room without paying the full fee.
Cons: It is an all inclusive hotel. Nothing around it. Only other hotels. You are basically forced to consume whatever they have for the prices they set. Just to keep in mind if you choose. It might be just what you want.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: I would give this hotel over 100 points if I could only due to the people that worked there and their hospitality which was over and beyond all my previous experiences. We arrived close to midnight and left at midday of the following day (so 12 hours in total) due to a diverted flight however the staff were absolutely accommodating and made our stay so easy. They arranged for a baby cot in a very short notice, made sure we had something to eat although the restaurant was closed and made sure we grabbed something to eat before we left although we were in such a rush. Special thanks to the kind lady in the restaurant, she was very kind and motherly. We were temped to spend the rest of the week there but since it wasn’t possible we will make sure that we go back - lady in the reception was very professional, attended to all our questions (and they were not easy or few) with patience and resolved everything very smoothly - the rooms are big and spacious and so is the balcony - great pool and beach in front of the hotel - quality and quantity of food, variety was absolutely amazing
Cons: Paid for seaside view room but it was only looking at the back of the hotel Bed was a little bit too hard Bath wasn’t cleaned properly (we found another persons hair in the bath and walls). Most probably because of the short notice the room was prepared
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Food was very good, - best for a long stay all inclusive hotel. Despite having only 3 English guests staff made sure we were looked after. Facilities excellent, free gym.
Cons: Bed was somewhat hard, and undersheet not fully secured.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: All inclusive was really good . The pool bar service was good , access to a fabulous beach
Cons: The hike from main building to the apartments No entertainment
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location in proximity to Porto Santo's great beach. Staff were very helpful at beginning and end of stay. Good facilities, comfortable room and good quality food in the restaurant. Reasonably-priced and efficient airport shuttle.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Hotel Torre Praia - Porto Santo - Bedroom
8,6 Excellent (407 reviews)
R1 282+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Torre Praia Hotel places you in the heart of Porto Santo, a 1-minute drive from Porto Santo Beach and 6 minutes from Pico Ana Ferreira. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great beach front location. They gave us a bottle of bubbly as it was our honeymoon, good breakfast selection, a couple of vegetarian options at the restaurant.
Cons: Sauna and jacuzzi not working. They were the main reasons we selected this place. Other things are an additional charge but not advertised this way. It has enough of the extras (eg minibar, restaurant) to get four stars but the place doesn't feel like a four star establishment. Atmosphere lacking over the Easter weekend
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel is absolutely outstanding. This needs to be said more than once. :-) You are right on the beautiful Porto Santo beach in a relatively quiet place, but close to the town centre as well. The hotel is clean, staff kind and food is good. The hotel sun deck (almost) on the beach is great, O Corsário beach bar is very nice place too.
Cons: The room was a bit average.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I was very impressed that we were given free early check-in and late checkout; particularly as we arrived at 0730am! We visited in a quiet period but were very grateful to be allowed to check in so early and then check out at 4pm on our day of departure with no extra charge. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea beyond. The whole hotel was clean and had a good atmosphere and an interesting historical feature of the lime furnace of the previous building standing at it's centre. There is plenty of room to enjoy lounging in the sun overlooking the beach or next to the pool at the hotel. There is a children's play area next to the pool on a pleasant grassed area. It was all very quiet when we visited in February and we usually only saw other guests at mealtimes. The hotel's restaurants and bars are adjacent to the beach which make for mesmerising mealtimes watching the waves break onto the golden sand. Meals are delicious with beautifully fresh food and friendly and attentive staff. The location is superb as you can walk straight from the hotel onto the gorgeous golden sand for a long walk between the surf and the sand dunes to the end of the island, Ponta da Calheta, where you can visit the restaurant for coffee or a meal while gazing at the dramatic rocky ridges of the nearby uninhabited islet of Cal. There are a few more hotels, bars and restaurants on the beach or just behind the sand dunes; some of these were closed as it was low season. Overall the beach has a natural feel as most buildings are hidden by the sand dunes. We ventured up some wooden steps from the beach and had lunch at Restaurante Pé na Água which was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced with friendly service.
Cons: It would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Late checkout was possible. Amazing view from the restaurant especially on breakfast time
Cons: Room a bit chilly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great - right on the beach, and the breakfast was very good. Also the hotel is not far from airport
Cons: Signage within the hotel could have been better, especially to find the restaurant
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location on the beach
6,8 Good
Pros: The location is great: the hotel has direct access to the beach and 5 to 10 minutes walking to the town. A good hotel if you don't have a car. The staff is also nice and we appreciated that they allowed us to enjoy the outside chairs even after the checkout.
Cons: The hotel has issues that are not acceptable for a 4* hotel: - Towels and sheets with permanent stains (we did not complain about it because it is not our job, as guests, to notice this things and correct it, in the end this is a "4* hotel"....) - Spiders and spider webs in the top of the room curtains (in the first night we had one big spider on the wall near my bad) - Rooms with view to a fence of a camping park (we were lucky not get one of these) - The food in the restaurants is medium quality and quite basic (but charged as high quality) - The bars only had orange juice as real fruit juice (their major offer are alcoholic drinks) - Small TV - No chairs and umbrellas in the beach (they are outside but not on the sand) - The pool is small and mostly used by kids, being always dirty by the end of the day. - The room did not have any sound proof. We heard all the noise from the other rooms, specially the cleaning lady in the morning. - The windows to the balcony were somehow old and not fully working - Although the staff (from the hotel and restaurants) was nice, they never asked us if everything was ok or if we were enjoying it. Of course these issues don't ruin some days in one of most beautiful beaches of Portugal. However, make the stay in hotel quite disappointing and overpriced (it seems all Porto Santo is quite overpriced, equal to Nordic countries). I would rather classify it as a 3*hotel near the beach. At the minimum I would recommend the owners a full hotel cleaning, a full replacement of towels and sheets and some interior renovation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location with fantastic breakfast served literally 'on the beach'. Very nice and professional team.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I really like the cleanliness and friendy stuff. Great breakfast and also a large choose of variety and very tasty. Perfect location. Very clean and lovely beach.

Cons: None
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Aparthotel Luamar is clean, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and the pool facility on the beach front is everything needed for a relaxing vacation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is the best. You are literally on the beach. The views are stunning and the beach is wonderful.
Cons: Maybe the furniture is a bit outdated but it doesn't bother me all that much. Even as a guest you have to pay 10 euros a day for the sun beds on the beach.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A safe destiny, where one can enjoy quality time with the family (specially with kids) and where the staff makes a big effort to make you feel welcome. I strongly recommend it to create memories for a lifetime.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location on the beach. Spacious apartment great view and good kitchenette.
Cons: Would be great to have better wifi. And I think there is some maintenance issue with wc smell. The staff was great and called maintenance to fix it but its odd to have to fix it every day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This aparthotel really is right on the beach, not a normal beach, but one with perfect sea and sand. The breakfast was good and plenty to eat if you wish. The room was very clean on arrival and great views ask for 327! sea/pool view. Comfortable with all the necessary items. A pool bar at lunchtime is very good and a good variety of food to choose from. Its a shame they cannot run it in the evening as well. There is a little gym in the basement next to showers/sauna a great little supermarket and upstairs a games room with table tennis and snooker. On my birthday a lovely surprise of chilled sparkling wine delivered to our apartment for breakfast :) Last but not least, really lovely staff they are a credit to the hotel.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lokation on the beach, nice and very helpfull personal, good brekfast, very clean hotel!!
Cons: Our stove, hotplate, daesnot work and nobady come to fix it. We ask the man in the reception imedietly, but nothing happend.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Top beach location. Great family place. Very nice and helpful staff.
Cons: It took a day to feel at home in our room. Very functional and basic furnishings and equipment. Quite uncomfortable plastic couch.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is optimal.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a beautiful location by the Porto Santo Beach, close enough to the village (walking distance only about 20 min) while still giving that nice secluded feeling. All the hotel common areas are very well designed. It was so nice to have breakfast and dinner at the large outside terrace overlooking the garden and the sea. The smaller cafe right on the beach is also a highlight. Food selection there was quite good.
Cons: The swimming pool is not bad, but the I wished the area around it was a bit more cared for. I could see a lot of tall grass plants and wild vegetation. Maybe it's the next lot that does not belong to the hotel, but it does spoil the pool a little bit in my opinion.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast had an excellent selection. The staff were the best thing about the stay. Friendly, but not overbearing. Huge beach next door with a good selection of eateries nearby. Would definitely like to come back for longer!
Cons: Balcony and restaurant furniture could do with modernising and making more comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was amazing - one of the best i have had at a hotel. All options from cold to warm, coffee, tea, juices and a wonderful bread and croissant selection. Really well done.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Beachfront, nice pool, well-kept garden with bunny roaming freely.
Cons: Beach bar closed too early. Street and corridor sounds easily heard in bedroom.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Best beach in Europe. Mostly Portuguese clientele
Cons: Mattress could be better
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the breakfast, pool and view. Even though some things should be different i really liked my stay. The room had air conditioning and a mini bar which was great. Beach access is perfect
Cons: the room was a bit pricey for what it was very simple and vintage furnishings but still liked it. the spa was ridiculous because we had to pay to use it like jacuzzi and indoor pool for 20€, for hotel guest's it should be free.
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly. Food was very good. Location is excellent. Infinity pool does not have views of the Atlantic like it says on the adverts, probably did when first built not overgrown trees now block the view.
Cons: Very dated decor, corridors very dark. Although a spa hotel, cost of using indoor pool was prohibitive, no discounts given for hotel guests.
7,0 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast and the staff is very helpful and kind. The hotel stays in the beach, so it is very good. The bar on the beach is very nice. Hotel facilities are quite oldfashioned and rooms should be renewed. It is a bit overpriced, but there are not many hotels in Porto Santo so they increase a lot the prices.
Cons: Old rooms and overpriced.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: i liked the pool and spa area and the beach bar was lovely
Cons: the decor of the rooms was a bit outdated and cold
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is good....pool well maintained...staff friendly...beautiful gardens.
Cons: Aircon not functioning properly.struggle to sleep at night with heat.room service very poor for 4 star only changed towels...dont clean up room.

Pros: The location is perfect (5 minut from beach) and accommodation is good. The clean lady was very carefully in her work. Breakfast was all day same - eggs, bread, some cupcakes, ham, cheese - I miss some vegetables. The biggest disadvantage of this accommodation was that the staff we met dont speak english only portuguese
Cons: staff dont speak english, breakfast without vegetables, crash coffe mashine
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a night with breakfast. The breakfast was tasty and big. Room with bathroom was clean, in the room was airconditioner. The view from the room was on the beach. The staff very friendly
Cons: nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice beds, cosy bedroom. Friendly staff.
Cons: The breakfast is not amazing (and they put a orange soda instead of orange juice, need to ask hot water for a tea and it can takes time, food hygiene not perfect: the lady passed with a plate with a rest of scrambled eggs from other clients and stopped in front of us to ask if we wanted them.. we said no, she put it back in the main plate for everybody !). The view from the balcon isn't very beautiful.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: N/a
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful. The location was close to my favourite beach. Good value for money.
Cons: Nothing stood out.
7,5 Good
Pros: Winter season price
Cons: Noise generated by wehicles in the middle of the night
7,5 Good
Pros: Size of the room. Helpful staff.
Cons: No shampoo. Not comfy bed.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A clean small hotel, twin beds which we could move together, we had breakfast included. 5 minutes on foot from the beach -- superb! The tap water is officially drinkable and we tried it, but we resorted to the filtered water dispenser in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you!
Cons: The breakfast was very minimal but for 3 days we were fine - a few types of pastry, small baguettes/croissants, eggs, ham, butter, some fruits, yoghurts, butter, marmalade, milk, coffee, tea. The cheese was bad, sorry -- have you tasted it? :( I think I didn't leave much out. Our booking.com offer stated they can arrange airport shuttle (for a charge) but upon contacting them shortly before our arrival, they said they don't do it. We had to take the taxi -- there's no public transport to the airport on Porto Santo and this hotel didn't help us. They did help us order the taxi back to the airport, though, thank you. Wifi mostly works only in the lobby and in the upper floors rather randomly. The street next to the property is rather loud, plenty of traffic. NOTE: These things would not prevent us from coming here again and we still recommend this hotel!
7,0 Good
Pros: TV in lobby has 10 channels in english.Friendly manageress and cafe staff.Hardly any guests at time of year.
Cons: TV in room is small and has CNN only. Cereal at breakfast was of low quality. It was chocolate things or cornflakes.A quality muesli would be better. The cheapest rooms have road view and cars going by can be noisy though late in the day there is no traffic. Mountain view only if you look left from balcony. No kettle in room.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location of the hotel, cleanliness, helpful staff, comfortable bed, and pleasant room.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better, maybe something cooked like eggs and tomatoes, mushrooms etc., instead of just ham, salami and cheese. Also having to walk up the stairs to the room, Would be better to have a lift. No internet in bedrooms only downstairs in the lobby areas.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location, next to the beach. Beds were comfortable but separate. Breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: The hotel was a bit outdated. Smelled like pool. You pay €2 to rent a small ‘beach’ towel. The shower was clogged.

Pros: We liked the location of this hotel as it's very handy being in Vila Baleira town. Its also comfortable and the staff are very accommodating. Always very clean, Has a swimming pool also.
Cons: Think the breakfast could be a little better, maybe have boiled eggs or scrambled eggs. aLSO, THERE ARE NO LIFTS SO YOU HAVE TO CARRY YOUR BAGS UPSTAIRS. However, there is always someone to help you if you are struggling.

Pros: we spend only two night in this hotel, but we liked it a lot. the room was very nicely furnitured, nice buffet breakfast, there was a possibility to play table tenis, and use their swimming pool. Very close to beach. We especialy were grateful for a great communicaton with hotel, since we messed up our reservation a little.
Cons: We were little bit surprised there was no vegetable in a breakfast buffet. However we still had a really nice breakfast.
