Pros (+) They had a variety of places to eat on site.
Cons (-) Staff was rude, the place smelled of waste and the ocean was filthy and unswimmable with all of the seaweed waste accumulation.
Pros (+) Mexican food was good. They gave out coconuts every other day.
Cons (-) Rooms were moldy and full of mosquitoes. Black mold was found in walls and curtains. Some staff expect you to tip then even though this is an all inclusive resort where taxes and tips are included in the price.
Pros (+) The food is amazing many choices to try different foods. The staff is very friendly, helpful and over all did a great job. We were very impressed with how everyone went out of their way to make our time there memorable.
Cons (-) There are not designated smoking areas and sometimes hard to avoid smoke. The shows at night are very fun and entertaining, but was very hot and smokey.
Pros (+) Steakhouse was excellent. The shuttle to Playa Del Carmen was only 65 pesos each way. Very convenient.
Cons (-) The beach is terrible. I know this isn't the resorts fault, but unfortunately for them, the beach is part of the experience.
Pros (+) The grounds were immaculate. The pool was very nice, and there were always chairs available during my stay, no matter what time of day it was. (I stayed between April 28 - May 5). Cons (-) I found that sometimes the service was a bit lacking. This is often rare when visiting Mexico, as in the past I have found that the staff are generally quite eager to please. Cons (-) Every single staff there seemed to lack management and quality service. When escalated, manager did not take ownership and try to resolve issues.
Pros (+) Pools were large, food was good. Staff was excellent.
Cons (-) Beach had lots of weeds in water. Not sure if it was just a nature thing, but the staff cleaned it every day.
