Nestled on the beach, this Gouves property is within 3 mi (5 km) of Cretaquarium, Gouves Beach, and Dinosauria Park. Watercity Waterpark is 2.4 mi (3.9 km) away.
Cons: Aside from a confortable bed, nice clean sandy beach and pool, everything was mediocre, most certainly not worthy of 5 stars. The service was rushed, felt like mass processing, the food was nothing special, the room was run-down, the shower in a small bathtub, the complementary wifi was unusably slow, the room's air conditioning was useless. Overpriced for what's offered, definitely cannot recommend this.
Pros: Great food options, fabulos only adults sushi bar and very nice chinese and greek restaurants. Swimming pools are clean and well maintained.as is the garden too. Entertainment in the evening is high-class. Bed is comfortable and see is amazing, you have everything here for a perfect vacation!
Pros: The staff was overall very friendly and housekeeping was good. Futhermore the pool area is really nice. They serve fresh waffles there and these waffles were good.
Cons: The price-quality ratio was not really balanced. This is a 5 star hotel, but it did not live up to it. The rooms were outdated, we had a sea view room, and altough we saw the sea slightly (you needed to look over the rooftops of other rooms), it did not meet our expectations. Also the food was not as great as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Yes, there were plenty of options, but everything was a bit plain and just not great. The fitness club is not a gym, but a fitness area which is completly empty, however you can do yoga there and stetching. Lastly the spa had a weird cancellation policy. If you wanted to cancell your appointment in the spa, you couldn't get your money back, even when cancelling 48 hours is advance! This information was written nowhere, also not on the receipt. Luckily I could change the date, but still this is very odd.
Pros: Great territory, good staff, tasty food. Great choice if you come with kids.
Cons: Changing pool towels is limited - in the morning and in the evening, and you can’t take more than one pool towel per person.
Pros: We liked everything about this hotel. It's a rare gen. Nice staff, smooth processes by the hotel and staff. Great rooms and cleaning service. Comfortable rooms. Food is really good. Great choice of extra restaurants. Fruits for kids at each meal and on the beach. Great shallow beach. Enough chairs. All kind of deserts during the day for adults and kids. Very clean pools. Live music every night. Mini disco and face painting for kids every evening. You basically can just enjoy and have nothing to worry about. The biggest bonus for adults was the included WINE and SUSHI bar. The wines were really good. Excellent service. Bus stop very close to hotel so you can visit Heraklion. My best experience with all in ever.
Cons: Nothing to mention really. Just weird that they ask everyone for a booking confirmation at the entrance when they should have you in the system already. Anyways something minor compared to the best experience ever! This is not related to the hotel but the landing path of planes is above the hotel. You can't hear anything in the rooms just on the beach. Great for the kids. They actually enjoyed looking at all the planes.
Visitors to Hersonissos will find that the Mitsis Laguna Resort & Spa is a fantastic accommodation choice. Many local tourist attractions including the Star Beach Water Park and Roman Archaeological Remains can easily be reached with a short drive. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. A pickup service can be arranged for guests upon request. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.
Pros: Great property. Very attentive staff. The restaurants tend to get booked up early-so planning is essential.
Cons: Restaurant booking facility.
Pros: Very, very friendly staff! very helpfull Nice complex, nice swimming pools Good food, varried buffet, nice to go to restaurants (reserve them as soon as you arrive! Otherwise they are full) Value for money late check out possible provided us a bed rail in stead of the babybed (which was not very stable,...)
Cons: Bathroom is not a 5 star accomodation. Bad shower, not very clean. Too little power sockets pool is not heated, so my daughter didn't want to swim because it was too cold (end of october, temp outside 23-24°C) Beach is very small (but we didn't need one, so we didnt bother) You need a car to visit something, isolated location
Pros: The crew was great. The hotel is maintained and managed superbly. Everything was just great.
Cons: Having to deal with ordering places for the restaurants was not a lot of fun. Starting the Kids activities at 8:30 p.m. is way too late. The hotel is located on a pretty dull and mediocre beach and area.
Pros: The hotel was fabulous plus we were given an upgrade at no extra charge the staff are friendly and helpful all over hotel
Cons: To be honest there was nothing that we disliked about this place
Pros: The hotel is really nicely finished and the food is of high quality - we especially enjoyed the sushi bar. The location is great - not far from the airport and places of interest.
Cons: The spa was disappointing - my pedicure seemed a chore for the staff member. I also wasn't told that I'd receive 24% off if I booked within 24 hours of arrival, so I paid over the odds as I was 12 hours too late. The steam room was not hot, and both indoor pools were freezing.
Pros: Beautiful resort, we had a great time here. Staff is really nice.
Cons: Food and cocktails are ok. Nothing mind-blowing though.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Delicious breakfast
Cons: Everything was all right
Cons: Exceptional service from all staff in a wonderful sea front setting. Breakfast is of the highest standard with both an American style and a unique Cretan breakfast. Reception staff are friendly and welcoming. Overall a wonderful stay.
Pros: The staff were very helpful and breakfast was generous. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: It had no character. It is a poorly designed hotel. I have no idea why it is described as of historical interest. The suite was long and very badly organised where you faced the back of a large tv when in bed. The bathroom was small with a poor shower in a bath which was barely possible to stand under. It was extremely expensive for what it is.
Pros: Located across from the ferry terminal and nearby to some nice dining. The hotel is really modern and rooms are nicely done. The bed is very comfortable. Great shower and amenities. Breakfast is a buffet with make your own orange juice and option for omelettes to be made to order. Very good breakfast.
Cons: We just passed through Heraklion from Chania to get to Santorini. Did not stay there long but did not seem to be a vacation hotspot. Would prefer to not make my own orange juice.
Pros: Great service, nice room.
Cons: Noisy at times as located in the proximity of the airport. Then again so is almost all of Heraklion and the windows keep out most of the noise. The step up chair provided in front of the bathtub to climb in and use as a shower is a nice touch but I prefer a separate shower without the climbing exercise.
Pros: Loved the cookies at check in, amazing breakfast, confy bed and ammensties and modern decor. Fluffiest towels, robes and slippers! We only stayed for one night to be nearby the ferry (which we walked to)
Cons: The area didnt seem that safe - tons of grafitti and a few beggars, but We didnt feel threatened in any way.
Pros: Very elegant and stylish hotel. Perfect breakfast buffet

Cons: We really enjoyed our staying, great service, exclent location, stuff was very kind, our children enjoyed hotel facilities, Creta maris is a perfect choice for family vacation
Pros: Great facilities - the hydro slides were a big hit, as was the mini disco held each night for the kiddies.
Cons: The first room we were put in over looked the road which wasn't very nice. However, they moved us to a lovely bungalow room the next day
Pros: Everything was perfect, great all inclusive experience. The resort is huge and offer a lot of things to do. Great activities for children, lot of pools, good food and nice beach.you don't have to leave the hotel . Many thanks to the team, specially George Hamalakis who always asked if we need anything he helped allot.
Pros: Great place overall! The staff is amazing, the service is overwhelming and the variety of the food in the big dining hall is great! The gym is top class, fully equipped with heavy weights and machines.
Cons: The availability of the restaurants that you need to book in advance is very limited and hard to get a spot. The food taste in these restaurants needs to be improved.
With a stay at Ikaros Beach Resort & Spa in Malia, you'll be a 2-minute drive from Stalis Beach and 6 minutes from Star Beach Water Park. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Malia? This hotel features 4842 square feet (450 square meters) of event facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge during limited hours, and free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: The layout, gardens and onsite facilities at the resort are great (and very clean). Although it was fully booked, we never had the sense that it was overcrowded. We had dinner one evening at the Sunset restaurant which was lovely and we would recommend. We left feeling more rested than when we arrived, which is mission accomplished!
Cons: Ikaros Beach Resort is marketed as a 5 star hotel and whilst it is lovely, there are little things that fall short of a 5 star experience. A couple of examples; not replenishing the toiletries when they'd run out, the mattress was quite thin and not particularly comfortable and despite being a recently renovated room, it was starting to show signs and wear and tear, so we didn't get the sense that they are maintaining the fixtures and furnishings. As a couple, we were 'upgraded' a family room which turned out to have more space but was far outdated compared with the photos shown on the website. We asked to be moved to a bungalow, per our booking and reception very kindly moved us. I don't want to be unfair to the hotel, because overall we had a lovely stay, but it fell short of the 5 star experience it's marketed as.
Cons: Value for money is off. We paid for a a five star luxury hotel, but it felt like a regular packaged deal hotel for the masses. No service on the beach, card tickets required for beach towels, etc.
Pros: The food was really good , the location is very nice
Cons: The photos on booking is not matching the reality , the staff in the reception were not nice and not eager to help
Pros: Nice view from the junior suite on the cliff, private beach, wonderful breakfast for suite guests, nice establishment in general, you are brought to your room by a golf kart so you will not need to carry your luggage. nice spa, spacious kids room, several restaurants.
Cons: reception staff could improve their attitude, super loud music at night, private pool was too cold, it never faces the sun. no sign of "private area" next to junior suites so you get random guests wandering around your private pool.
Pros: Hotel is based over a big territory and looks very well designed - it feels like it’s own little village / town. It was interesting to walk around the streets between bungalows and explore little cute places. Beautiful gardens , our room was good size and quite comfortable. Although we visited Ikarou Beach hotel in the end of the season (stayed there 2 weeks ago for 1 week), there were still good amount of restaurants and bars open and staff maintained high standards of service throughout - it definitely felt like we stayed at 5 star hotel. We have arrived quite late for our check in due to delayed flights, but hotel staff welcomed us with drinks and offered complementary cold snacks bar, which we found very thoughtful and nice . Out of dinner options (we decided to try few different restaurants during our stay) we would definitely recommend Veranda - fantastic dining experience and amazing food ! Would recommend to try their lobster risotto. Must also mention great service and beautiful design . Overall, we have really enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money - will recommend.
Cons: Clown by the kids / bar poop seemed a little creepy :D Also, would prefer to have bungalow with a bath, but we got one with the shower, may be should have specified and contact the hotel before we moved in.
Pros: Good facilities. Areas for kids and also for adults only.
Cons: Poor food options for vegans.
Pros: Very laid back. Once you are in, you feel you are home. No one actually bothers you and very helpful if you ask them.
Cons: The house cleaning rooms were right next to mine. They were making noises every morning and disturbed my sleep. But, they did a very good job of cleaning and no complaints.
Pros: Staff very friendly, polite and nice specially María from the main restaurant, Marzena from the bar, and Erika and Leonil from the Lefko restaurant! Bangaloo with sea view was just perfect located, where I could see the sun rise and set, and few steps from the relaxing pool for adults only (that was calm and really relaxing)! Room was very clean and nice decorated! Breakfast was very good and also the food in the main restaurant and Lefko Restaurant, where I had 3 times dinner because I loved the food!

Pros: I liked the Swiming pool and the restaurants also I like the breakfast it was amazing
Pros: The hotel was a great size with all the facilities you could hope for.
Pros: Service was excellent in all departments.
Pros: stunning building architecturally; gives a truly memorable first impression and a relaxing ambience for the stay - the main restaurant is beautiful with a water feature - lovely beach and enormous pool. The best pool I have ever seen in a hotel - excellent spa - good range of treatments and professional staff - the beach bar is beautiful. I have very good memories of stunning sunsets over a cocktail - the staff - all extremely kind, friendly and welcoming ( except for housekeeping but that is normal) - the quality of food in all the restaurants was first class. Although expensive I enjoyed the food in all particularly the asian and the cretian
Cons: the rooms - on arrival I was “upgraded” to a family suit. I thought this was odd given I was on my own and really didn’t need 4 beds but I said nothing. It soon became apparent that I had been given a lower quality room as they clearly needed to get rid of them and assumed I would not complain. The room was dark, dingy and old. It was also on the ground floor so as a lone female I felt unsafe leaving the terrace door open. I asked to move and was moved fairly quickly to a smaller but infinitely nicer room. I was just angry that I had booked that room in the first place but got “upgraded” to a worse room - service at breakfast in certain areas of the restaurant was appalling. I waited 35 mins one day for eggs and regularly 15 - 20 mins for a coffee. Not acceptable - as a solo traveler I never got offered the best seats in the restaurants and always got worse service than other tables - housekeeping was late and inconsistent. Sometimes it did not arrive until 3-4 pmwhich is far too late if you want to use the room in the afternoon - wine in the restaurants was eye watering my expensive - 17 euros was the cheapest in the Italian and steakhouse for 75ml!!! I didn’t know a measure that small even existed in a licensed bar - location - the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere. Great if you have a car but if not you fee quite isolated as nothing is within walking distance. The bus stop with hourly bus services to bigger towns is about 10 mins walk away - also I found it a bit shocking being asked to pay my whole accommodation bill within 5 mins of arriving! Usually a card is given for a guarantee but not the full payment. In addition on my last day reception rang me asking what time I would be leaving as someone else wanted my room early! Again a bit shocking to be asked this when I had another 24 hrs to go of my holiday
Pros: fantastic staff and service very very helpful from arrival and all the time we spent in the hotel nice room nice view
Pros: The facility is beautiful and clean. The pool is large and excellent for swimmers. The ocean is terrific
Cons: Our reception was horrible. Upon getting to the room we noted it smelled of smoke. They then argued with us when we asked to see if there was another room. They have multiple restaurant types, one of which is Greek. On two days of our stay we were told the Greek restaurant was closed because of low numbers of reservations. We were encouraged to eat in the Asian restaurant. I wondered if we were actually in Greece. Upon arrival we found out that there is no restaurant where a man could enjoy a dinner without wearing long pants. And here I thought we were at a really nice seaside summer resort. How dumb of me...For the most part the staff was cold and almost non-caring. This place has no SOUL. We do not recommend the hotel to anyone.
Pros: Hotel is amazing and staff is friendly most things in hotal is not allowed pets
Pros: Great staff that is very welcoming, always helpful and with a smile. The hôtel is itself very beautiful and If you want a restful and calm location with only the sea nearby it’s definitely for you.
Cons: There is nothing nearby. You need at least a 10 minute drive to get anywhere.
Nestled on the beach, this Hersonissos property is within 3 mi (5 km) of Convention Centre Creta Maris, Sarandaris Beach, and Port of Hersonissos. Aquaworld Aquarium and Sarakino are also within 3 mi (5 km).
Pros: All Clean food
Pros: Friendly staff, nice food, especially seafood night at Taverna every Thursdays is a must, need to pre-book though; nice water park, archery etc. All inclusive is a great value for your money.
Cons: No heated pool!!! - we went with kids last week of October so swimming pools and seas are both too cold for kids to play. There is a indoor pool next to gym BUT no kids are allowed, it’s not heated anyway, not as advertised on their website; Need to hire a car - if you want to venture out to nearby cities & restaurants.
Pros: Location, quality of room, superb food
Cons: Poor wi fi
Pros: very nice place to have a calm holiday,,
Pros: The sweet cats there !
Cons: The hotel is amazing!! The only issue we had is with the towels to the swimming pools. It is not possible to take it in the water park , it is impossible to take it afternoon or change it twice a day. The woman is not so friendly. Not in the same quality as the hotel.
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: Nice weather and beach, food was OK
Cons: We payed for all inclusive not knowing that almost everything was closed there! We basically just got hotel room and food!Absolutely no entertainment for kids! Swimming pools were not heated and the water park was closed! Even the beach towels boot closed on first day! No night entertainment as well or water sports! Maybe travelling in summer would be different, but would not suggest anyone specially with kids to go in November even though the weather was really good!

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in Malia? This hotel has facilities measuring 2260 square feet (210 square meters), including a conference center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was excellent in service. Fantastic location. Good facilities.
Cons: The rooms have different standards, only a few of them are real 5 stars.
When you stay at Cretan Malia Park in Malia, you'll be on the waterfront, a 5-minute drive from Stalis Beach and 9 minutes from Star Beach Water Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Has everything you need for a relaxing holiday with the family. Good and plentiful food, friendly staff, and nice facilities.
Cons: Mealtime was a little hectic, with dozens of people trying to get space in the buffet line. Lots of kids means there’s not a lot of quiet space or time. Nightly entertainment seems like a perk until you want to go to sleep early, and someone is still singing “Take me home, country roads” in a Greek accent at 10 PM.
Pros: It is a beautifully decorated hotel in an amazingly nice garden at the sea. Just to walk through the property gives you a great vacations feeling. The staff is very kind, helpful, cheerful. The food is very good as well. My favorite: the Cretan corner :-). We will be definitely back again! Thank you for making our stay so great!
Pros: the design is stunning, especially for the price category. if you like your hotel to be visually pleasing, this one ticks all the boxes. we enjoyed the beach restaurant (incredible pizza!), the kids club and the lovely cooking class at mouries.
Cons: the pillows were hard making it difficult to sleep comfortably (would bring my own next time) and our aircon went on and off which was annoying at night. the coffee at breakfast really needs to be better, it tasted cheap and awful and definitely ruined the overall picture for me. we booked half board which means buffet food mornings and evenings. luckily you can also eat at the 2 a la carte restaurants (at a discounted rate) which i recommend over the buffet option. next time id book breakfast only and just eat à la carte or in town. the wines and coffee are way overpriced.
Pros: Extremely friendly staff, very beautiful garden and carefully groomed area. Newly renovated rooms, good food - very good price ratio at 120 Euro half pension per night for 2 adults!
Cons: Malia itself is not a very attractive place but the surroundings are and beautiful Agios Nikolaos is only a short ride away. We would not come here in the summer weeks as it will probably be too "dense" and noisy but the April/May period was just perfect!
Pros: Very clean and spacious
Cons: I liked it all
Pros: Superb location on a lovely beach, wonderful staff, great food.
Cons: Malia town is a bit meh
Pros: Very nice beach bar/beach. Very attentive lifeguard at the pool. Childfriendly hotel.

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Pros: . The place was very clean. Service was very good. The private pool was huge. And clean. The place it self was surrounded by beautiful trees. The kids playroom. Is near the dinning room. And isolated. So we enjoyed a quiet breakfast.
Cons: .The curtains didnt fully blocked the sun i turn to reception nothing was done. The was Hard and uncomfotable. At check in i was asked to pay for the room again and get refund Immdiatly. It was very weird and lucky for me i had credit. Also needed to sign a form they where not responsible for anything in the room.
Pros: Nice view clean nice staff
Pros: Hospitality was the greatest. Polite employees , the smaile on there faces makes you want to stay more. They were always willing to help at any hour event at night. They truely do the best to make you enjoy your stay
Cons: The beds are not the best beds , but it is good enough.
Pros: The place is so quite, the villa is amazing, the staff was very nice, the food is ok
Pros: Nice location, very tasty dinners
Cons: The stairs in the villa private pool were to short for a child or elderly person to use the pool, lack of expresso machine at breakfast, overall average breakfasts, lack of kitchenware in the villa’s kitchen
Pros: The location is great but you have to get a car if you want to travel, because it's on high mountain. The hotel is clean and peaceful, with beautiful view. The people at the hotel are very nice The breakfast in perfect, and in the room there is a kitchen so you can make your own diner as well...
Cons: Everything was great, except for one night the hotel hosted a big party, for 2,000 people in the garden, the music and the fireworks was so loud, as if it was in our room, and it didn't end even after midnight.. we didn't know anything about it from the hotel, and it was surprising. The bed and the pillow is not so comfortable.
Pros: Lovely helpful staff. Great rooms. Loved the jacuzzi bath!!
Cons: WiFi internet signal kept stopping and starting. Lovely views but feels a bit isolated by great for switching off and relaxing :-)
Pros: Quiet location away from the tourist chaos below in Malia. Hotel is 10 years old and in good condition, especially pool area. Staff were nice and relaxed.
Cons: Pool party on Sundays for locals, guests seem second to the locals.
Pros: Peace and quiet and the views are fantastic. Reception staff lovely.
Cons: Not very clean, very tired furniture in the bar area, bar staff quite rude, very dirty around the eating areas, broken furniture, rooms dated and quite dirty. Beds in rooms need updating and the bathroom mirrors were pealing, no overhead shower. Really disappointed as my last stay was amazing 4 years ago. Needs a full clean & overhaul definitely not 5* It’s a shame as this was once a gorgeous hotel.

Pros: Very good value for money, the hotel is in the heart of the resort, great location, with a lot of restaurants nearby. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly, the room had a lovely view of the pool and it was very clean. We had the breakfast and it was delicious, many different options and nice setting with the restaurant near the pool and surrounded by palm trees.
Cons: If I were to suggest improvement on something, it would be for the bathroom, compared to the room it looks a bit old. However I would not even consider this an inconvenient.
Pros: Very good service, friendly staff and amazing food!
Pros: Reasonable space, perfectly pleasant hotel. Reasonable proximity to the Palace of Malia, which was the main reason for our one night stay.
Cons: The location - it was very much in the heart of a very British tourist area. We go on holiday to experience the local culture, but everything in the immediate vicinity of the hotel was very geared to British tourists - Red Lion and Molly Malone's across the road, Saltire Lounge a little further away. Old town was around 1km away and had restaurants more to our taste.
Pros: It was very clean, the staff was friendly and the hotel is really close to the beach. The beach is great and also the sea was cristal clear. The hotel has a nice swimming pool where you can enjoy a glass of wine. We borrowed an umbrella for the beach from the hotel and also, there were plenty of other things you could use.
Cons: The bathroom didn’t have a draining system; after we used the shower, the floor got really wet.
Pros: Wonderful hotel , very nice decorated , healthy breakfast , friendly family. I really enjoyed my stay very much.
Pros: the Staff is super friendly, the pool area is beautiful & the rooms are very comfortable!
Pros: Nice people and staff. Excellent pool and a beachside area for beach lovers. The rooms are big, the beds are big and comfortable. Perfect for us.
Cons: Nothing we had a good time there, good pool and location.
When you stay at Pyrgos Beach Hotel Apartments in Malia, you'll be by the sea, a 4-minute drive from Stalis Beach and 8 minutes from Star Beach Water Park. Featured amenities include luggage storage and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Pool, including fully operating pool bar at the end of season (kids loved the cocktails!)
Pros: Very peaceful and quiet, very nice place
Cons: Shower curtain
Pros: The grounds of the hotel are lovely, with lots of accents and nice seating. The pool was clean and the views were lovely.
Cons: The bathroom was very small and in need of renovation; dirty grout, use of a shower curtain. The bathroom was the only let down for us.
Pros: The staff is super friendly. The room, bed and shower are very clean. The hotel location is wonderful close to the beach and to restorrants and supermarkets. They gives very good value to price.
Cons: Only the shower curtain. The shower water flush a little bit outside.
Pros: Close to Heraklion airport but wonderful sea views and a close walk to excellent shopping. Also a very close drive to superb sand beaches and the incredible Malia Minoan palace.
Cons: No elevator if access is a problem to upper floors. There are a few units on the ground level.
Pros: Good breakfast available from the hotel café. Location was good, A large enough distance from Malia for it to have very quiet surroundings. Brilliant pool area with access to the beach. The bar staff are amazing.
Cons: We had no water for one night as the tanks were empty. Local shop was around 10-15 min walk. Not too far, but in mid summer sun it's not ideal.
Pros: I like the pool and the hotel is really close to the sand beaches.
Cons: The menu on the in-house restaurant is a bit limited both on vegetarian and meat options but there are many restaurants close by so not a big minus.
Pros: Super friendly and attentive staff. Charming and quiet hotel. We had a great time and look forward to coming back some day.

Pros: The hotel was obviously loved by its management and it showed, it was immaculately clean and the rooms really made use of limited space

Pros: Very clean, great staff and an excellent breakfast
Cons: Room was a bit small but ok
Pros: Good location and about a 20 minute walk into the centre of town. Nice restaurants within walking distance.
Pros: entrance, reception, facilities, location,
Cons: very very small room and bathroom like in Ibis hotel, waitress in bar not very kind to customers, breakfast not enough big for 5 stars hotel
Pros: location is good
Cons: small rooms and did not match the photos. Reception staff need a good lesson in courtesy.
When you stay at Blue Sea Beach Hotel in Hersonissos, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Star Beach Water Park and Stalis Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location is great, price is attractive, wonderful breakfast.
Cons: Dinner was a bit boring. But It's a nice little hotel.
Pros: Nice gardens and lovely cats, clean, good food and AI programm.
Cons: If you are over 1.9m, ceiling in shower will be very close to your head. Table tenis is really outdated/worn (especially rackets).
Pros: (all inclusive) The staff at this resort were amazing (with the odd exception). They were attentive in the restaurant, friendly at the bars and generally great. The ambience of the hotel is relaxed, with well-maintained gardens containing a variety of colourful plants. There are plenty of cats, however they mostly keep to themselves and don't hassle guests for food (the hotel has a feeding station if you want to feed them which probably helps this). Our room was one of the beach-front bungalows which had it's own sun loungers and a nice view in the morning of sunrise and the ocean. Despite being by the small road it was quiet. The hotel also offers a menu for pillows, should the ones provided not be hard/soft enough. Coffee/tea facilities were also available in the room, along with a fridge. The food at the main restaurant was great. Every day there was a different variety of food to choose from, with every dish being tasty. Some nights were themed nights (e.g Cretan) and there is always fresh fruit in addition to the hot dishes. Drinks are brought to your table by the staff. Various entertainment was offered both in the main bar and by the pool some evenings. The entire hotel was very clean. Just when you think something could do with cleaning, someone was already there cleaning it. Location was okay, there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance and you can just about walk to Malia (although Stalis was nicer and livelier in October). I would recommend Rovers Return Inn for regular live music. Along the sea front are sandy beaches with various themed bars and cheap sun loungers (all much nicer than the hotel's own beach). Would we recommend it? Yes.
Cons: There is no pool bar and hasn't been for years. One of the reasons for picking this hotel over others was the prospect of enjoying drinks in the pool. The bar has since been boarded up on one side and converted into a snack bar where you can sit and enjoy your food, however you can't even order the food or drinks directly there, one has to go to the other bar to order. Not only can you no longer get drinks at the pool bar but you get shouted at for taking any drink and sitting in the pool at the snack bar. Instead, the area is filled with children on inflatables. The À la carte restaurant is not available for guests staying less than 7 nights, not that this information is stated anywhere. Even in the room it is stated that the À la carte restaurant is free for all-inclusive guests. When staying 7 nights or more you are given 1 voucher to reserve a table from the main restaurant. Allergy information in the main restaurant was not accurate, however the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with the head chef offering to cook you meals specifically, if you inform them in advance. The beach by the hotel is pretty small and not worth using, there are much nicer areas slightly further up the beach that can be used. No all-inclusive service is offered at the beach. WiFi completely unusable The amount of plastic waste generated by this hotel is shocking. All drinks from the bar nearest the pool come in small disposable-plastic cups which are then thrown away rather than using re-usable more durable plastic cups. Any water used behind the bar comes out of small plastic bottles. There were recycling bins available but hidden behind the snack bar so were never used. The spa facilities at the hotel are poor at best. There are 2 small rooms containing a sauna and a steam room each, of which both were extremely dated and uninviting. The indoor pool connected to the "spa" was cold.
Pros: The beach
Cons: Bruyant proximité de la route And the expected king bed was a too twin beds
Pros: Food is great! Staff is very helpful!
Cons: WiFi - mostly was not working. Have trouble doing any online activity
Pros: Exquisite food, exceptionally professional staff and the beautiful garden.
Cons: Nothing notable
Pros: Very clean. Extremely friendly staff, very kind hospitality, way beyond what is required (examples: early check in and a late breakfast on the morning of our arrival; early breakfast especially for us on the last morning).
Cons: The wifi signal was weak and inconsistent. The resort's layout does not give a real sense of privacy. Not enough parking spots.
Located in Malevizi, this beachfront property is in the entertainment district and within 3 mi (5 km) of Ammoudara Beach, Pankritio Stadium, and Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium. Hania Gate and Kapetan Mihalis Korakas are also within 3 mi (5 km).
Cons: the bathroom, comfort of the beds and smell of the entire place. The lighting in the hallways was dark. The bathrooms were extremely small and the photos highlighted were for the deluxe bungalows which was falsely advertising what to expect.
Pros: Modern eating area, very nice staff. Food was good
Cons: Bathroom smelled like sewer, we had to have the door closed. In the dinning area the “children’s “ corner only had fried food, didn’t have vegetables soup for kids and the soups they had during our stay (mushrooms and fish) were too salty. The pool bar food area closed at 5pm but if the food finished earlier, they wouldn’t refill it.
Pros: - The staff are brilliant. Not only are they some of the friendliest I’ve ever met, but they also seem to have a genuine enthusiasm for their jobs. - the food was really good. They always had such a great selection for every taste. - there’s a lot of options of things to do and activities. - the massage was really good! And I thought, decently priced. - the evening entertainment was always fun. They got some great acts and the resident performers were absolutely lovely, and very good to watch. We loved their Disney themed night!!
Cons: - The cocktails need a lot of work. I never thought you could get a Cuba Libre so wrong until I went to Agapi... - the room was very outdated. I felt like I was on a cruise ship in the 70s (and not in a cool stylish way...)
Pros: - nice staff - great location - nice hotel area - rich offer within all inclusive
Cons: - the choice of food practically did not change - water in the children's pool was too cold
Pros: We arrived at 2 in the morning, sandwiches and a bottle of water in our room. Charming atmosphere. Excellent abundant food. Friendly happy staff. And a Cat Cafe. All the essentials for a very happy, relaxing stay.
Cons: Bed was a little firm.
Pros: Amazing location Food very good Service very good
Cons: There is no room service 24/7 But anyway I received good service .

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and express check-in. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Staff were very attended
Cons: The transparent shower cubicle
Pros: The staff were exceptional. The location is perfect for exploring Heraklion on foot. Breakfast was excellent - a good selection of foods.
Cons: The rooms need some tlc. The flooring in the bedroom and bathroom needs replacing. The shower floor and the wash basin also need replacing. Better duvets would also be good. No body lotion which is highly unusual, especially for a 5* hotel.
Pros: Room was good quality
Cons: Breakfast room was not particularly attractive
Pros: This is an excellent hotel in a very convenient location for sight-seeing. Everything is nearby and close to the waterfront. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: A bit pricey bu you would probably expect that for a five-star hotel.
Pros: Everything. Breakfast was especially good. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Nothing negative. A bit pricey but that is what you expect for a five star hotel.
Pros: View is ok
Cons: Some things in the room is broken. No free water, only water from minibar. For 5* hotel it's funny. The breakfast not so good, small variations.
Pros: The check in time was in the afternoon but we arrived from the ferry at 07:30 in the morning. The staff invited us to have breakfast while our room was being readied and we were shown to our room by 09:00. It allowed us to rest for a while and then venture into town. Staff were all very polite and helpful. The breakfast was simply outstanding with wide choice and extensive.
Cons: Nothing really!
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: Nothing. All good
Pros: The room with view to the port and mountains, the receptionist very helpful.
Pros: Breakfast , and room comfortness and cleanliness
Cons: Room design and pool. The view ...
Pros: Good location - easy to reach from the national road and airport very close to the heart of the city. Very clean. Large shower. Private parking, but very limited.
Cons: This was a very dissapointing stay for us. I would say this is a good 4* hotel, definitely not 5*. Overpriced for what you get. Pools closed in december, you could not even go to the rooftop for views. The bathroom was really bad and small - it had no door. Slow wifi. Breakfast was very dissapointing. Food waas evry average and the person who was supposed to make eggs to order was never there (we stayed 5 nights). Coffee was made to order but some mornings it was jsut terrible. Noisy - you can hear the airport in the harbour view rooms.

Pros: The staff, the pool, the quiet in all the resort
Cons: There is no normal wifi in all rooms as writed Not close to city center, beach is not so clean and inviting.
Pros: We had a half board package , there was one night when the buffet was very good , the other nights and breakfast were not of a good quality ... coffee was barely drinkable
Cons: Beds were very uncomfortable , ...could be cleaner ... bathrooms very run down
Pros: Every thing was perfect for us, great food, lovely sea on your door step . Not crowded, long expanse of sandy beach which was clean. All staff bending over backwards for us. We will be back next year for longer!
Cons: absolutely nothing. any one who finds fault is a git!
Pros: Very taste food. Friendly staff. Good location...
Cons: Animation in the evenings was only 2 times per week. Poor wi-fi anywhere in the hotel area.
Pros: The location was superb. The bus is right in front of it so you can go anywhere from there if you want to. The food is awesome. Everything is delicious, lots of choice as well, both, food and drinks. Overall would definitely visit again.
Pros: Very polite, genuinely helpful and kind reception and restaurant staff

Pros: We felt like with the family. The hotel stuff were amazing, very hospitable, almost all of them speak several languages and will do their best to make you happy and relaxed. And the food was amazing, compliments to the chef. Location of hotel in Malia is good so one can easily explore central and eastern Crete.
Pros: Lovely hotel in a beautiful beach bay. The beach is shared with Ikaros hotel which is also really nice - you can join in the evening entertainment there.
Cons: The gym wasn't great - both running machines were out of use. No coffee/tea/water or minibar provided in the rooms
Cons: Food not too much choices didn’t appreciate charging for water at dinner :).
Pros: My wife and myself enjoyed a lot our stay in the hotel. We`ve got our room upgraded to the sea front bungalow. The room was just amazing! It had a patio, the sun beds and an amazing sea view. The hotel is very well located, surrounded beautiful gardens and has a very good beach. The staff are mega helpful and friendly. At breakfasts and dinners we had a good choice of delicious food. We were out for lunch most of the time. There are a lot of restaurants around. WiFi had a good reception, we were able to watch movies on Netflix. We are planning to book this hotel for the next our holidays
Cons: Gym needs an update
Pros: Rooms are specious, beach is nice
Cons: Food is very basic and made with cheap ingrediants. Price is too high for the value
Pros: We have just finished a perfect vacation in Kernos beach hotel earlier today. We are family of 6, came here for 8 days and the experience was great. The staff, the food, the room, the hotel's beach and pool facilities - all were in the highest level. We strongly and highly recommend to choose this hotel, and hope to come back next year.
Pros: Great pool and very close to the ocean!!
Cons: No elevator but there are people who can help with luggage 24/7.
