Pousada Litoral Paraty

Not far from the beach. The beach is very muddy though. People were covering themselves with it...so maybe the mud was good for your skin. It made the water very murky and difficult to walk.

#1 We booked 2 rooms for two nights. When we arrived, they only had one room for us. My Dad had to share a room with me and my husband. No explanation about why that happened. #2 They charged us for 2 rooms for 2 nights, even though we did not get the second room on the first night. I asked about it multiple times and no one helped me. I have not gotten my money back yet for the room. That is 450 BR that they took. They had two days to sort it out and they didn't even though we asked many times. #3 The fridge had 2 half empty water bottles when we arrived. #4 They did not clean the room at all when we were there. #5 Each of us got one towel. That is fine. The next day, my father asked for a clean towel and it was very difficult to get a new towel. First they said no, then they said they had to "ask the manager". Finally, he got a clean towel. For two nights, you should get more than one towel. #6 We were up early so I do not expect breakfast at that time. But when I went down at 7:30am, there was a lady in the eating area. I asked for a coffee or a cup of hot water for tea. She said no. I do not speak Portuguese so I know sometimes the staff may have not understood us. But, we used Google Translate and our requests were simple enough. I also know it is 2-star so I am not expecting 5-star facilities. I have stayed in many hostels and hotels around the world. This was one of the worst ones for service....and they took 450BR from us!
