We loved every second, thank you!
eclectic and beautiful
nothing i don't like
Quiet place, free continental breakfast. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
The bathroom window in room # 37 didn't have blinds or a curtain so there was no privacy from the house behind the room.
The hotel is quite nice, the design of the room as well and the staff is quite welcoming and always available
Breakfast was not a breakfast (two muffins and coffee in a corner of the hotel), two of the three pools were quite dirty
Three pools! And delightful outdoor seating of various kinds providing numerous options for relaxation. A great menu of interesting breakfast items, poolside snacks, and a happy hour menu to die for. Also, try the Frosé. Our room was more like a luxury apartment, equipped with fireplace, salon, dining table, separate kitchen, a decent bathroom, and rear private terrace adjoining the bedroom, which was generously sized and very comfortable indeed. We loved the casual staff and their willingness to provide room service - also the late opening hours of the bar came in handy as venues in town seemed to shut very early at the time of our stay. Poolside, jets of mist are provided and waiters are thoughtful in keeping guests hydrated with water. The bicycle hire was a great touch and at no extra cost a great way to see more of Palm Springs.
The jacuzzi wasn't very hot, and the brickwork made it rather uncomfortable to lean back and truly relax in there. There was a random amenities fee of $35/night which wasn't advertised anywhere, to cover the 'free breakfast' which we weren't told was included... The location is OK if travelling by car but is a long 30m+ walk to the strip where most of the restaurants are to be found.
The Villa Royale is a boutique property in beautiful Palm Springs, California. It is less than two miles from the city center and minutes from such popular destinations as the Indian Canyons Golf Resort, Moorten Botanical Garden, Palm Springs Stadium, Ruddy’s General Store Museum, Plaza de las Flores Shopping Center, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, numerous golf courses and country clubs, Palm Canyon and more. The airport is only three miles from the lushly gardened grounds, as well.
With its great location and appealing good looks, this hotel is a great choice for any leisure or business traveler. It features many premium amenities, including an award-winning restaurant – Del Rey – that offers an amazing setting for tapas-style food and drinks, three gorgeous pools each offering a furnished sundeck, bike rentals, a public lanai offering premium coffee and tea each morning, pet-friendly policies including pet amenities (bowls, beds, and so on), free parking, concierge desk and much more.
The rooms retain their retro good looks but have been updated to reflect a modern aesthetic. They range from deluxe rooms to suites and even villas. All will have free Wi-Fi, signature toiletries, luxury linen, gorgeous and unique décor, entertainment systems, minibars, Bluetooth speaker systems and many have fireplaces.
A visit to the Villa Royale is a holiday on its own. The amazingly unique style of public and private rooms, the many amenities that emphasize the gorgeous natural surroundings as well as the town, and its commitment to service, make it ideal for any traveler to the Palm Springs area.
