Friendly staff, great location and plenty of parking.
Air conditioner frequently turned off and dripped water. First floor was poorly ventilated and smelled like cleaning products.
We had reserved two rooms with confirmation but upon check-in we were initially told we only had one room. It took about 30 minutes to resolve the issue. One of the rooms we were given had a broken AC. A maintenance tech was immediately sent to our room to work on it and we left for dinner, Upon return from dinner, the desk lady told us he was still working on it but when we got to our room he was gone and the AC didn’t work. We were given another room, This room had an issue with doors, I got stuck in the bathroom after shutting the door. The door jammed and took awhile for me to open it, The next morning we were unable to get the door open to exit our room. This would have been a death trap in the event of a fire. We eventually got it opened and reported it to the desk upon check-out. We will never stay at this hotel again.
The location. Just a couple miles from downtown
Well, as we walk to our room. We get off the elevator to find plastic and paper on the floor as they were painting all the rooms. Along with paint fumes. When entering the room. My friend went to the bathroom only to find a 2 inch cockroach laying on its back legs moving. And the fixtures in the bathtub broken. When calling the front desk all target said was come back to the lobby and we will change your room. So we gathered all of our luggage and walked in the sun back. We decided to cancel and go to a different hotel as we didn’t feel comfortable there. We never even heard a “sorry” or had a manager of any come and personally apologize. Just a “so you’re checking out?” Bottom line is that we will never stay here nor would we ever recommend it to anyone.
The breakfast was amazing! I had to get the avocado toast 2 days in a row because it’s the best I’ve ever had! The entire hotel is super cute and all the colors make for a super fun vibe. The pool was awesome, perfect combo of fun and relaxing. Our server John at the pool was the absolute BEST!! Rooms were huge and bed was soooo comfy! Would definitely love to stay here again!
We did have some slow service at breakfast, but our server (I can’t remember his name) was really sweet. Also there was some weird stuff that was falling out from the A/C unit onto the carpet, but other than that everything was GREAT!
What could be better was better vacuumed floors. Extra towels, toilet paper. The bed sheets were very thin and the bed was sinking in on the right side. There wasn’t a coffee machine or a microwave in the room. The bathroom don’t have an anti slip mat. The curtains for the shower were very thin and the floor was wet.
great pool, basic rooms, older hotel but done nicely, food was good and a fun vibe all round, supermarket across the road.
emailed for info prior to arrival but no reply, smoking policy not well in-forced.
Clean better......Replace old dated furniture..... new paint
The bar closing at 11 PM was rather frustrating when we were trying to get together as a group and catch up with people
Still love this place, but losing its edge?
Still got that retro funky sense of style. Great pool (DJ was really good). Still more affordable than other hip spots around. Spacious, simple rooms. Hotel staff was super helpful.
Almost never any towels available at the pool. Drink service at the pool was dodgy at best. The hotel bar closed at 11:00pm on a Saturday night (had to do a Ralphs run for beer). Construction going on. Kids running around.
Nothing stands out
The pool is murky. They absolutely should not allow pool goers that are not staying at the hotel. Drain the pool & start over! The rooms are NOT "suites". Also, what defines boutique? The colors are cool, the concept was executed but the staff & locals that frequent the pool are not keeping it classy.
best bang for your buck
The Saguaro personifies Palm Springs- the colors, atmosphere, overall vibe. 2 of my girlfriends and I used it as a home base for the weekend, during which we had several parties to attend. It's location makes it prime, the deal we got on Kayak was uncomparable with the other 4 stars in the area. Clean, spacious, love the fridge in the room! Pool of course, is top 3 in the city. Also, EL JEFE has some of the most delish and forward thinking cuisine in town. At a reasonable price! I would eat there even without the convenience of staying there....goat cheese wrapped in eggplant? YES PLEASE
Elevator was down in our tower during our stay, which was the only downside to our stay- lugging our bags to the 3rd floor during the hottest day of the week sucked, but luckily we are able-bodied and unbothered, may not have been as easily overlooked by older clients or clients with kids. We were told it was being fixed, hopefully soon!
I liked the look of the place all the bright colors
While I was asleep my husband woke up to find bugs in our bed! We told the front desk and they offered us new sheets we left and when we called the manager Anna she was dismissive and rude!
