Mercure Ostrava Center Hotel

The quietness,comfort,breakfast was excellent. Evening meal in the restaurant and the bar were excellent.

Towels were basic. Television had no signal. We asked a few times at reception but it was not rectified. Bathroom shampoo etc were not replenished. Dry pleasant

The room was clean, convenient location. The welcome drink (a small bottle of water) was very nice to receive, especially in this heat.

I'm traveling a lot and use booking quite often. I know that we are all human and the human factor happens, so I never focus on the little things. This is my first negative review (in my life). I will not call myself a woman with high demands. But the ratio of price and quality in the hotel does not correspond to reality. I will not describe all the details, just give one example, after which our trip was noticeably spoiled. When visiting the Wellness in the hotel I highly recommend everyone to check what key is in your locker. When my boyfriend tried to open the locker after finished using the sauna, he couldn't do it. When asking for information on reception (it was night), we were assured that everything is under control and that in the morning, at 8am we will get our stuff (there were his clothes, sneakers, credit card, and all documents). On the next day around 10am, at our inquiry as the problem has been fixed, they simply said that the locker will be opened the next day. They didn't take into consideration how we can go outside without his shoes and documents and that we have our own plans for this trip, nobody cared. Only after we were indignant, employees opened a locker. We received no apology from the hotel. On the contrary, we were told that this could not happen by accident and that we did not use the right key. No answer to the question from our side, where is the right key? And how did the wrong one get there? And how with the wrong key locker has been closed? They didn't answer us. And the managers very openly show their emotions and does not skimp to give comments. As a result, we found the strength to thank for the help and wanted to complete this negative experience and misunderstanding on something positive. But on our thank you, the Manager just ignored us :)))) I will never stay in this hotel again. And I won't recommend it to anyone. For the money in the Ostrava, you can find a much better solution.
