The staff was great! Very helpful and always had a smile!
I booked this almost six months in advance for my husband's 40th birthday. We arrived to construction so loud I couldn't even hear the lady at checkin. I would think they could have emailed or called in case someone didn't want to be around that! Found that one of the places to eat on property was closed (this was the construction). The room was very lack luster to say there least. The only cool thing that was kind of rock and roll was a mirror with heights of celebrities. I thought surely the pool would make up for the room but sadly the slide was small and boring. It was big but that's about it. The one good thing was the staff. All the staff we encountered were awesome! From the concierge to the waiter near the pool! Also the DJ at the pool (DJ Viral) was awesome!! I would recommend somewhere else if spending this kind of money on a hotel.
Once you past the lobby it’s pretty much like any other hotel. There is nothing special that warrants the price tag. The staff are lovely and that’s about it. I’ve stayed in nicer. The lowes Royal Pacific is nicer in my opinion.
The location to the parks was ideal. Swimming area was great.
The Kitchen could do with a revamp, especially the pass between kitchen and restaurant.
Fast passes were great. Nice enough hotel great to walk to universal
Pool wasn't great , wasn't as clean as should be toilet wasn't cleaned properly and top sheets had stain .
We only stayed for 1 night to visit the 2 parks as part of a longer stay in Orlando. Amazing location so close to the Universal Studios parks, and the Express pass you get as your room key was a big plus. The staff were very helpful and friendly, both the check in staff (the lady was really helpful explaining how to get our park tickets and how the express pass worked etc, above and beyond) and the concierge who also helped enquire about an item we thought we had left in the room after check-out (we didn't find it but he went out of his way to ask for us). We went to "The Kitchen" restaurant on site for dinner and we also through this was very good and again the waiting staff were very friendly. The food was also good and quick, just what we needed after a long day at the park with 2 tired kids!
Not a big deal but we did think that the bathroom of our room was a little old and tired, this is probably more in contrast to how amazing everything else was, but it didn't feel as clean or modern as the bathroom at the hotel we had just left.
