Pros: This is a fantastic place with a great staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Also the food was exceptional, some of the best we had while in France! It really says how good the place was when the restaurant in the hotel didn’t advertise and was packed at night.

We were there during a heat wave so the AC was appreciated and worked well.

Pros: Surroundings, room and breakfast were great. It is remote and quiet. Spa area was brand new, clean and comfy.
Cons: There was no wifi in our room. Desk at spa was not always staffed, suggest to put a phone there to call the hotel reception so guests don’t have to walk over there in their robes.
7,1 Good
Pros: The situation and beautiful buildings. Reception staff welcoming and helpful on arrival.
Cons: Staff training not up to a hotel of this standard. In particular the dining staff were not attentive or lacked suitable training. Breakfast was totally self service despite several members of staff ‘milling around’ they seemed totally unable to help even when asked for help with defective equipment. Very poor acoustic in dining room. Tables were for two or six or more but for a party of four we had to sit round a very large table making conversation difficult. Room cleaning was superficial and not thorough. Generally for the price would expect top service and attentive staff. 3 night stay September 2019
9,2 Excellent
Cons: Automatic lighting is not perfect
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, beautiful location. Lovely staff.
7,0 Good
Pros: Stayed two nights, didn't take breakfast either morning. We had two very good dinners and found the service both friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for visiting the vineyards and touring the surrounding villages and countryside.
Cons: The room which was located in the old castle was not in keeping with what we expected to find in a castle. It was expensive and while we could have booked a cheaper room in the surrounding buildings we pushed the boat out and took the room in the main building expecting something exceptional for the price. The bathroom turned out to be modern while the bedroom was neither old nor new, bit of both. The flooring was cheap and cheerful which did nothing for the old world charm we expected, floor boards would have been better. All in all this room in the " castle" was a big disappointment in itself and more so by the price it cost.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this venue was excellent; the rooms were beautiful, food superb, but we felt that the staff was the real gem here. Would especially like to mention Pascal, who simply couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect.
Cons: I hate even mentioning a negative with regard to this venue but the lighting in the dining room could be a little more subtle. We felt all the bright lights took from the ambiance. However, the delicious food, served so superbly, made up for it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rooms / venue.
Cons: Reserve diner on time: no guarantee for hotel guests for table in restaurant.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room are large and charming, located in a fully renovated castle, designed with root and natural spirit. The spa has a small pool with all the water massages needed. The food is balanced with fresh vegetable from the garden. The hotel care of limiting waste with no plastic policy. This is a great place to reenergize yourself far away from tumultuous cities.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: One of the friendliest and most helpful hosts we have every come across. She helped us with maps, travel recommendations, restaurant bookings, nearby events (in this case Tour de France). A beautiful breakfast with home made jams was prepared on the patio next to the pool. This is not a hotel or apartments, but a home with a shared bathroom and living space.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was wonderful. A lady full of charm and a great sense of humour. Afternoon tea on the terrace was a welcome surprise. The restaurant she recommended was very good and 5 minutes drive from the villa. It is very isolated in the woods but that to us was part of the charm.
Cons: A small point really but the toilet was a shared facility. I did not spot this when booking. In a way quite pleased that I didn’t. It would have meant missing the good parts.

Pros: Olivier and Guy were wonderful hosts, extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. We arrived at the end of the last day of our cycling holiday. Our room was very comfortable. Hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing, eating, drinking and shopping. The owners kept our bikes safe throughout our stay and the whole of the next day after we had booked out, so we could have a 'bike-free' walkabout in Orange, before our evening 'Bike Bus pickup'. Breakfast was fantastic, a lovely selection of drinks, jams, fresh bread and cakes. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you both for a great stay.

Cons: Having to leave, would’ve loved to have spent a weekend.

Pros: The hotel has a reasonable good menu and the food was well prepared
Cons: When arriving the parking place is full of rubbish, giving an immediate poor impression. The room we had was a bit shabby. Painting falling of the window. Bathroom outdated. No proper shower, only a shower in the bath. Sitting outside before dinner staff was walking around but did not ask if we wanted to drink anything. Taking into account that breakfast is charged separately the rooms are overcharged.

Pros: The hotel is situated nicely at a small square in Orange very close to the ancient theatre. The people are very friendly and the breakfast is good with plenty things to choose from. The 3 bed room was as expected from photos and very clean.
Cons: The photos showed tile floors whereas the room was equipped with a carpet (kind of old) which we didn’t enjoy so much.

Pros: Localization
Cons: We had two rooms. One was great! The second was awful. Very small. Water from the sink had a very bad smell. It was impossible to take a proper shower because of the confined space. Make sure you do not get room 12. Staff was ver kind. Great localization!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: L'herbier is located in the centre of Orange within 200 yards of the central square with restaurants, bars and shops and the wonderful Roman amphitheatre and yet the location is quiet and tranquil. The Parton is extremely friendly and welcoming and she goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms and public areas of the hotel are spotless and very tastefully furnished. Our room was large with comfortable beds with air conditioning and electric shutters. The petit dejeuner was excellent and served either on the terrace or in the dining room. Although the car park is some 500 yards away one is able to stop temporarily outside the hotel to drop off luggage and the Patron provides a parking permit for an underground car park for 5 Euros a day. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at L'herbier in Orange.
6,3 Good
Pros: breakfast moderate,A/C,comfortable bed
Cons: too far from the carpark,no lift, very small area for showering and washing.

Pros: All rooms themed and decorated accordingly. Comfortable beds, desk space and equipped with air-conditioning (although not required for October visit. Excellent breakfast including option of freshly cooked bacon and scrambled egg (always a favourite for guests from UK). New day time and evening restaurant since last visit but I have to admit I didn't get to try. Location is central in Orange so only five minute walk to Forum or into the town centre. Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful throughout the visit.
Cons: Frankly nothing to dislike. Parking overnight Wed / Thurs can be problematic due to the market that takes place outside of the hotel, however arrangements can be made to utilise hotel's private parking, a facility I did not use myself.

7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was ok always filled up , Location was a little bit tricki to find it - coming from Spain.
Cons: It seems to be a Smokerhotel - the first room smells so...
6,0 Good
Pros: It is a typical IBIS-hotel, not in the most modern way, but for an overnight stay as a business traveler sufficient. And the restaurant just beside is a good choice to spend the evening.
Cons: The equipment in the room is not the newest one, so a little renovation would be good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient for my journey
6,7 Good
Pros: Good position, just off the motorway, quiet room comfy bed
Cons: Paris prices on drinks £7.50 for2 half’s of beer!
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location and room are fine, and all staff really good. The restaurant next door is good too.
Cons: Whilst you worry about comfort of mattresses/pillows etc the room itself was impossibly hot/airless. We tried every combination of the unit provided, but were just too too hot and no air. We opened the window to the chain but no effect. Lighting in the bathroom is appalling! How can a lady see to apply make up?? The lighting in the bedroom was also far far too dark!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is located in a lovely part of France, we have stayed here a few times over the years. The Ibis hotels are all usually the same, the staff are friendly and the room was standard. This hotel has an older decor and the restaurant is run by a different person although it connects to the hotel. We ate there 2 nights, the first night was great the second night was not so good, food burnt and long wait, this hotel this week, had bus loads of people staying so it was a little busy at reception and in the restaurant at times. This effected breakfast also, by the time we had it, there was no croissants left and no apple juice either. There was other things there so you would not go hungry. They have a pool which is a bonus and it looked lovely.
Cons: There was a very strange smell on the second day, like almost gas, not enough french language to find out what that was, and there is no lift in this hotel, so if you have large cases you need to drag them up the stairs.

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners and a broad selection at the breakfast buffet compared to what is a typical French petit dejeuner. The safe parking in the courtyard that is closed up at night. Relatively quiet despite having a room with a window to the street, except for the odd drunk on their way home making some noise in the middle of the night. The air conditioning worked pretty well. That we were given a room for three so we had enough space to put up a children's cot.
Cons: We had a bath tub instead of a shower in the room (which was intentional by the owners having in mind that we were travelling with a baby and that this might be easier, which is a nice gesture and is not that unusual in hotels), but there was no shower curtain and that made it really difficult to shower without getting the whole bathroom wet. A curtain rod with a shower curtain would be a great improvement and then it would be perfect.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very good central location and a pretty setting in a sort of quarry at the side of the amphitheater. Close to nice restaurants.
Cons: Bathroom a bit small.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very near the centre, right beside the roman theatre. Good parking in a quaint courtyard. Buffet breakfast which you can have outside in the courtyard, very nice on a sunny day.
Cons: Feeling a little run-down, could do with a spruce up or even a make-over. I appreciate Orange is not a number one tourist destination but the Hotel could make more use of its quaint feel. Would return.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in an historic old building directly next to the old amphitheater. Save parking inside the hotel courtyard. Nothing to complain about! Had a fantastic dinner at La Cantina just around the corner.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic Hotel... Fantastic History... Fantastic Staff... Fantastic Breakfast... Fantastic Location
Cons: Nil
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location, friendly welcome, comfortable room.
Cons: Slight communication problem: when I checked out the staff told me I had paid, only to be contacted by them a day later saying I left without payment.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic and offered a wide range of choice. I love it's location next door to the amazing romantic theatre and the view from my bedroom window over a pretty courtyard. Only yards away from the bus to Avignon and the town centre with lots of cafes and restaurants. The family who run the hotel were helpful and friendly .Extremely quiet and comfy bed. I would happily return to this pretty hotel.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Loved all the boutique look of this place...the food was really good...the lavender honey was so so good that I had to buy some from the owner of the hotel...they gave us a gift for the dog too!...bed was comfortable (we stayed in their budget room as we had a small dog) but the linens and towels were beautiful and clean...
Cons: Having to leave, would’ve loved to have spent a weekend.

4,0 Okay
Pros: Great price and very close to the event we were attending
Cons: Not really what I would have called a hotel- it was more like a caravan without the wheels! The room was fairly clean but very small and barely big enough for 3 single beds let alone 3 people. When our toilet stopped working it was "fixed" only to break again a few hours later. The staff were mostly helpful the first time this happened but the second time they were very reluctant to do anything to help until we complained. The bunk bed would have been easier to access if the ladder had some sort of tread added to the steps.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Location ok if you have a car. Shower hot. Wifi ok.
Cons: Staff extremely rude (tut'd at us, kept sighing when we were speaking, snatched our phone of us, rolling eyes) bedroom tiny & air con did not work. Bathroom is tiny can barely move in it, shower gets water everywhere. Beds uncomfortable. Generally unclean, cockroach under the bed. Dusty & smelt bad. If you have another choice then I would definitely do that.

Pros: Nice cool air conditioning in room on arrival.
Cons: Very small bathroom but was clean and usable

Pros: Value for money. Good location. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: I was all as how expected it to be.
5,0 Okay
Pros: It's a good location for what I came for, nice staff. Would be a good place for sleep only.
Cons: The size of bathroom isn't acceptable, no facilities as wardrobe (just few hangers next to the bunk bed's stairs), chest of drawers or mini fridge.
4,2 Okay
Cons: The room could have been cleaner. There were cigarette burns on the blankets and dirt in the bed. The sheets had not bee cleaned.
5,4 Okay
Pros: the breakfast was ok
Cons: the staff don't speak english, rooms are very small and dark, the light inside is poor

5,8 Okay
Pros: Close to autoroute but couldn’t hear it. Very cheap
Cons: Very tired, clean but not really. Bed really hard, smoking allowed in rooms and burn holes in bedding. But really cheap so have to not expect 3/4 star quality. Shared toilets and showers so not great.
6,3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, very helpful although not really supported by a poor infrastructure
Cons: Wifi hardly functioning in the rooms. I was unable to pay by card too because of connection problems that are frequent in the area according to a local
