With plenty of touches of home, the Best Western Inn & Suites, Ontario, Oregon, puts a refrigerator and microwave in every room and serves a free full hot breakfast, an easy base a block from Interstate 84 for getting around the region and out to the river. The setting suits a day of adventure or a working trip, close to restaurants, shopping, a movie theater, and golf. A friendly team is glad to share recommendations on local sights. Ontario sits at Oregon's far eastern edge on the Snake River, the gateway between Oregon and Idaho in the farm country of the Treasure Valley, with fishing and boating on the river nearby, the Four Rivers Cultural Center telling the valley's many-layered history, and the high desert and mountains of eastern Oregon stretching west. At dusk the broad river runs slow and silver between the two states under a wide desert sky.

Thought we would pay a little extra to get a better room. Water barely warm even after left it running awhile both the evening and next morning. Was on a tight time frame that evening so I was going to say something at front desk in the morning but no one around at front desk. Spent a few minutes getting a coffee but no one at front desk still.
