Pros: Luis, the owner, was amazing at checking us in. There is nothing he could have done better. After driving all day, I arrived very late (9pm, which I had given him a heads-up) and I texted him soon as I arrived. He came to meet me instantly, then showed us where to park. Very nice guy. Apartment is in the best location, and parking is very convenient.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We ere treated to an extra special breakfast in a lovely environment. we were close to the down town attractions and the staff oriented us well on what to see, where to park and how to make the most of our experience. Bathroom was large and well appointed.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, walking distance to beach, restaurants and old town. We had a room in the back building. Room was very spacious and quiet. Was nice that we could hear birds chirping in the evening. Great rain water shower head. Very nice and comfortable common areas. Staff were all very polite, helpful and professional.
Cons: The carpet in the room was looking a bit old. Maybe time to replace or just replace with a hard floor? Just a suggestion. Also, would be nice to have USB charging port in room.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed at Villa Soro for 4 nights. The main building is elegant with a very warm atmosphere. I had a corner room on the first floor of the newer building which had it owns semi-private outdoor space. Both were nice. The bedroom and bathroom were of good size and quite utilitarian. The newer house has no street noise, though the area is sufficiently quiet that I would be surprised if the original house is affected by traffic noise. The staff is very polite and helpful. I chose to stay at the Villa as I thought I might find interesting people with whom to talk. Breakfast seemed like an obvious time but the bar is actually pretty lively at night. My wish was fulfilled. Members of The Morgan Motor Club were there with their glorious convertibles (British racing green, of course) and there were 2 architects from Stockholm on their way to Bilbao.
Cons: My bathroom was not adequately cleaned. I suppose this was due to the maid believing that Americans only take showers. However, there were enough clues that I take baths. The tub wasn't cleaned (or not to my standards) and neither q-tips nor hand soap were replaced in a timely matter.. I found there was too much noise transmitted from the room or rooms above which may have been just the luck of the draw in whose overhead. Note that this really is a residential area and you will have a good 30 minute walk to the bus station or even most restaurants.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful!! Totally recommend

Pros: Beautiful hotel in a great location, gorgeous decor.
Cons: Tv in the room was supposed to be digital but wasn’t working. Small thing BUT for the money ( expensive) basic services should be there. When we complained ( we like a late night movie) didn’t receive any apologies merely defensive comment ( the service is a complimentary service at the hotels discretion) I didn’t like that.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The perfect location, impeccable service, very good Vietnamese restaurant on the premises. Rooms are very large with everything you need.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: That it’s pet friendly. Staff is very attentive and excellent location... we’ll definitely be back!

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and lovely big room with spacious bathroom. Good water pressure in the shower. Very clean
Cons: Unfortunately due to location, it was a very noisy room at night time - street noise and vehicles. This can’t be helped but perhaps extra glazing on windows should be considered!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has an excellent location! It is within walking distance to soo many sights and tapa bars. The room is small but had good sized closets to help us keep organized. It was very clean and comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Pensión Aldamar was exactly what we were hoping for. It was clean, comfortable, charming, and in a great location.
Cons: Honestly, no real complaints. The only sort of surprise was that our balcony was shared. We visited in the fall so it was too cool to sleep with the door open, but if that was something we wanted to do, I'm not sure we would have felt comfortable doing so since we shared the balcony with our neighbors.
7,5 Good
Pros: The little amenities that were available in the bar for free and the free coffee with cookies in the morning.
Cons: The room was too small. Maybe it would be good idea to have a sign/indication of the hotel in the main door, since it was not easy to find it.

Pros: Loved the location - we were given 2 adjoining rooms with balconies and sea views. The staff were very helpful and tried to make reservations for us to some restaurants we were keen to go to. Sadly both were closed while we were there. A very quaint old style hotel - very clean
Cons: Carrying your bags to the rooms. The elevators were a bit small -could only fit 2 people at a time with luggage. The pillows were a bit hard - no options for softer ones.

Pros: Great hotel wonderful location staff were fantastic.

Pros: Great location
Cons: Building work going on all day very noisy
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb, on the beach, although the room I had was facing the city, not the beach. The room, bathroom and bed were big and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and functional.

The hotel bar features a cocktail menu created by renowned barman Diego Cabrera. There is a gym for our guests with lovely views of the city. For meetings, make use of our 9 function rooms for up to 400 guests.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, 10 minutes walk from the university conference centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide selection suiting most tastes, including for example membrillo and cheese, scrambled eggs, baked beans, a choice of milks (skimmed, full-fat, non-lactose) . Personally I look for a decent muesli, which they didn't have, but I wouldn't expect muesli in Spain so I'm not complaining.
Cons: The shower took ages to get hot, and was very sensitive to the angle of the hot-cold lever, and the temperature seemed to vary from time to time. The gym is in a separate building, two doors up the road.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Its location is great, right next to Ondarreta beach and several nice restaurants and bars, and we could really rest and enjoy our stay. All the staff was very welcoming and helpful, so it rounded up a great experience!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, spotless room. Public parking around the hotel is crowded, but if you happen to find a place, it is just 3.6 Euro per day. As alternative, private underground parking in the hotel is available at 22 Euro per day.
Cons: At the time of check-in a lady at frontdesk seemed unfriendly and distracted. No ventilation in the room's WC. The kettle provided in the room was leaking so we could not use it. It is 25 min walking distance from the hotel to a city center, but it was a pleasure to walk along beaches enjoying breathtaking scenery.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel in good walking distance to the beach and city center. Very friendly staff. Perfect communication upfront with personal that tried to help create a great experience, accommodating needs. Car park at the hotel available. Nice rooms, complementary coffee/tea and very thick blinds that assure a deep , long sleep.
Cons: Sound isolation worked well towards the street in front of the building, not so much towards other rooms.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at reception were excellent. Particularly Serena, who could not have been more obliging and helpful.
Cons: Nothing to complain about but why not have classic movies to enjoy in your room? We were in the Lauren Bacall room and would have liked to watch some of her old movies with Bogie.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms have tubs, there is adjacent parking, a good - not great - buffet breakfast, a good value in a pretty expensive town. I have stayed here three times so I must like it!
Cons: A little off the beaten track but it is possible to walk into town. There is an easy bus into town as well.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Clean room and spaces.
Cons: The taste of the hotel is very particular. No US plug. So if you bring a shaver, you are in trouble. The hotel directory in the room was not coherent. It was written the gym was openned untill 10pm and when you arrive their, it was open only untill 9 pm. The room door didn’t close totally so I had to make sure it would close behind me. In order to access to the wifi, I had to proceed to certain pages that the receptionist didn’t give at check-in. NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER. I’ve been to many other places with better amenities and at least a welcoming water.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: For work I had to be in San Sebastian for one night. The location was just perfect for me. Not too far from the train-station, near the city center and on walking distance from the customer. The price was good. I had a nice dinner and I was very happy with the breakfast. I would consider to go to this hotel with my wife and then visit San Sebastian.
Cons: N/A
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms, the bar, the staff

Hotel Sercotel Jauregui First Class - Hondarribia - Building

The Sercotel Jáuregui Hotel is a cozy 3 star hotel located in the center of Hondarribia, very close to the San Sebastian airport. It has 42 fully equipped rooms and 11 apartments. It has 2 rooms for holding events and has free WiFi Internet connection in all its facilities.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: clean, friendly staff
4,8 Okay
Pros: Overpriced dump that doesn't deliver what the price tag promises. WiFi wasn't working, which in 2016 just proves they didn't care enough to get a reliable connection (I needed it for work, not entertainment). Nor was it fixed during the time we were there. The "hotel parking" is blocks and blocks away, which defeats its purpose. And the maid barged into our room without even knocking, embarrassing my naked wife. Seriously? A bad experience at any price, but sbsolutely horrible for what this place charged
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel in the center of the village.
Cons: In the same weekend I stayed in Bilbao in 4star hotels for 30%less money. Found it pricey.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We regularly stay here when visiting Hondarribia. We particularly like the location and ease of parking
Cons: The hotel is our preferred hotel in Hondarribia but this time we did feel the room was looking a little in need of refurbishing. The cleanliness is still excellent as are the facilities.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Central location makes it very convenient for walks along the sea front, large range of restaurants nearby. Behind the hotel is an escalator which takes you up to the old city saving a long struggle up hill and an exceptionally pleasant stroll back through the old town streeet.
Cons: Everything was very satisfactory the only disappointng part was the gentleman who served breakfast, he clearly was not happy to be there and was surly and unhelpful. Shame as this tainted the view of staff helpfulness when completing this survey
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel overlooking a beautiful street in Hondarribia’s Marina area. ( please see picture below, that was the view from our room) Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a nice area; it was clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I am usually very generous with my evaluation and more detailed, but in this case my opinion is colored by the unacceptable behavior of the people at the breakfast room. I hope it was only a one time event, because otherwise I would rate the hotel higher. ( We rented two rooms, both were fine). See below.
Cons: I would have given a much higher evaluation if it wasn't for the people at the breakfast area. I went down to have breakfast 15-20 minutes before the end of the advertised breakfast time. I was told that they already packed away the buffet breakfast, but if I wanted I could have an orange juice. They didn't even offer food and it was raining outside. This is unacceptable! All the negative rating reflects the bad experience in breakfast room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The central location on San Pedro. The friendly, professional and multi-lingual staff. The underground parking. The comfortable beds.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is incredible! Comfortable rooms and nice staff. Enjoyed my stay!
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Tea making facility in bedroom.
Parador de Hondarribia - Hondarribia - Building

8,8 Excellent (1 677 reviews)
R2 775+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Parador de Hondarribia places you in the heart of Hondarribia, steps from Arma Plaza and Church of Nuestra Senora del Manzano. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: An interesting and impressive historical property in the middle of the old town. The staff were very helpful and breakfast on-site was a good start to the day. Overall we are glad we chose the Parador.
Cons: Robes and slippers are typically provided at this price point so while it felt less like a luxe stay without this amenity, the historic property and lovely staff more than made up for it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful historic building, beautifully renovated as a quality hotel. Stunning location dominating the Old Town and overlooking the sea. Rooms spotless, public areas impressive, breakfast very good.
Cons: Undergoing some restoration at the moment, so terrace not available.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The view from the bedroom and private balcony overlooking the sea. The massive bed.
Cons: Difficulty getting a big car into the parking area, a tight squeeze.... Only one harassed person serving in the cafeteria, so slow service. We just wanted a cafe con leche in the morning but the cafeteria was closed and only full breakfasts were available in the dining room. No restaurant available in the evenings.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This property is historically significant and is beautiful. The location couldn’t be better. Very impressive structure and love all the medieval decorations / art works. The view across the water from our room was great. The staff are very helpful, the cafe and breakfast both good.
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Parador de Hondarribia is located in a beautiful former castle. It is complete with beautiful tapestries and wonderfully evocative rooms for wandering in. On top of that it is high up and provides beautiful views. Parking (for a price) is available. Although, there is no restaurant we had a satisfactory dinner in their cafe/pub.
Cons: The hotel is a bit hard to find as the old roads take you round and round to get to it. And, not that the hotel wasn't worth the price but it was appreciably more than at most of the other hotels we stayed in on this trip.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Really old quarter of town. The building and locale are fantastic and we were lucky enough to have a large ensuite room with a great view over the harbour on 2 sides. Staff very helpful and although dinner was not available they recommended a great restaurant, Sebastian, within close walking distance. We had a great time afterwards in a local bar in a cobbled side street a few yards away. Breakfast typically continental Spanish, but more than adequate. Would have loved to have spent more time here but on a road trip back to UK and the heavy rain next morning didn't help. It was November but the place must be glorious in sunshine. A must if your travelling through Spain or looking for an interesting place to visit.
Cons: No bottled water, tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Over bath shower ok but we prefer a walk in version.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Love the location in the Antiguo district, and the hotel is right in front of a bus stop and a just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. The staff was very helpful, and the woman in the coffee shop/restaurant was a whirl of efficiency. Our room was very comfortable (except for what I’ve noted below) and had a great view. And the price was very favorable for San Sebastian for this time of year.
Cons: The only negative in what would otherwise be a rave review is that the temperature in the rooms cannot be controlled by the guest. Heating (and air conditioning in summer) is centrally controlled and cannot be changed. Our room was a hot box. The only remedy that the hotel could suggest was closing the heating vent, but even when closed, the slats of the vent still let plenty of heat through. We left the windows open all day (outside temperatures were 7-13 C), but we had to close them at night because of the noise of the street outside, and by the small hours we were both waking up, hot and sweaty. If you like very warm indoor temperatures, though, this won’t bother you.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Even though the location is a bit far from city-center but local buses are convenient to reach the center. There is a supermarket near the hotel. The parking is not so bad.
Cons: It was a bit noisy outside even in mid-night by road cleaning or something.
4,5 Okay
Pros: off street parking
Cons: too far from old town; poor bar/dining facilities and grumpy receptionist

Pros: Fab location
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location! Right in front of the Concha beach and maritime walkway. There is simply no better place to be. The staff was also super friendly.
Cons: The only thing I did not like was the bed. It is very very very (did I say very?) hard. Mattresses (as the building itself) are very old. The rest, particularly location and staff, were great.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Parking place in garage very comfortable
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room felt luxurious—linens, bed, pillows, and the high ceilings and crown moldings. Bathroom was also very up to date and well equipped.
Cons: The Internet was weak and unreliable, we lost the signal repeatedly and usually had to go downstairs to sign on again. Also, our room was too warm, even though the heater was as low as possible. Finally we opened the window, cooling the room but letting in traffic noise. Also, parking was advertised but we didn’t realize one must make a separate reservation for parking, and the hotel lot was full when we arrived, which meant we had to park 3-4 blocks away. (Staff was helpful in directing us to a secure garage.)
6,0 Good
Pros: The overall style and decoration and the wondeful original lift with its old style wooden cabinet
Cons: Nice cozy and very stylish hotel well located on the san sebastian beach side. Old structure in a beautiful bulding but with very little facilities in small size rooms, although very well maintained and spotless.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Property was in a great location. Able to walk around the beach front and into the old part of San Sebastián.

Pros: We had such a great time here that we decided to stay an extra night. The staff on reception were super friendly and helpful. the bar/café had a good menu and the hotel restaurant was delicious. The location was a 20 minute walk down to La Concha and the area very quiet and safe at night, the hotel is ideally situated for exploring San Sebastián on foot. Great choice for families. 7,9 Good
Pros: Very clean and tidy
Cons: They didn’t have any coffee or tea making facilities so every time we wanted one we have to pay for one.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are gorgeous and plenty big for European style hotels. The staff was very helpful and as a bonus they spoke many languages.
Cons: I requested a king size bed when I first booked and got a room with two beds pushed together with individual sheeting (not conducive for snuggling). My shower door was only a half door so there was an ocean in the bathroom after we were finished. The last night we tried to sleep earlier so we could leave early the next day but it seemed there was a comedy club right above us until around 2 AM.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Amenities eg: room service, bike hire. Friendly welcoming staff.
Cons: A bit far from the main areas near beach and old town however close to sporting area which I liked.

Pros: Same barman since 1990! And he remembered us from a number of visits - the previous one being some five years ago!
Cons: The bar decor has been updated with disastrous results.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: The hotel is a bit far away from any of the tourist attractions and restaurants. It is amid a very busy intersection of town making it convenient to get to if you are driving. The downside is the traffic noise is incredibly loud all night long.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It is very good and we were able to rest properly. Very near a bus stop that can bring you to the center.
Cons: Noisy people on the other room but it’s not really the hotel’s fault.
