Everything, great room, clean and with a view to die for. The staff were excellent, always available and no request for was too much... the manager Costas was the best host. He made us reservations, had all the contacts to get us what we wanted and got us to the places we wanted to get to! By far the best we’ve stayed in.. would thoroughly recommend, you will not be disappointed.. it’s the best Santorini has to offer!

Our stay at Marizan couldn't have been more perfect, and this is credit to the staff (especially Kostas) who were so accommodating and helpful, where nothing was too much trouble. The view from the villa was incredible and the room itself was well presented and spotlessly clean. Some nights we chose not to venture into the village and instead sat on one of the hotel's terraces where the view is just as beautiful (if not better) than the restaurants and bars. The breakfast each morning was prompt and delicious, with a variety of options, such as vegetarian and vegan. Thank you for making our stay in Greece so special!

The staff were all marvelous. Marios and his team were stellar. Anything g you need, they will accommodate. The location is the best in Oia. The views were spectacular facing the caldera. If your room does not offer a complete view of sunset, there are two other terraces that you can use.

Everything was perfect: the two managers Marios and Zanet are extremely guestful and helpful. The rooms are modern, clean, in perfect Greek style. The view is gorgeous, especially for the sunset, in my opinion the best in Oia! Also the level of services is very high: jacuzzi with sunset view, room service always on time. Every evening they give you candles creating a very nice atmosphere. The breakfast is delicious and you can choose timing and different Greek menu! I suggest to have dinner in the room (good food, good price) and professional massage delivered in the terrace. Relax 100%!! But Marios and Zanet Made the difference! I will come back here next time in Santorini ❤️

Helpfull staff, great place to stay

We stayed at The Sunset Villa at the Marizan Cave and Villas. LOCATION: The location is the best you can get in Santorini and in Oia in particular. We just went (during the whole Covid situation) and there was a very small amount of tourists in town and on the island as a whole. We enjoyed every bit of our stay very much! Sunset watching from your private balcony is the best. I would highly recommend sunset watching from the Old Castle (3-4 min walk) as well because it features the beautiful houses and windmills in the frame, which makes for the perfect postcard pictures. Be prepared to save a good spot at the Castle at least an hour before sunset though. SERVICE: the service is just as PERFECT as the sunset view! Maybe even better. No request was to much for Zanet and her brother Marios! From dinner reservations at a minute notice to some odd requests they delivered right away with the biggest smiles on their faces. Always available via cell phone and apps. Upon check in Zanet gave us a detailed explanation of the area with great recommendations for food and activities. She also booked a boat tour to the Caldera and around the islands for us. Thank you, thank you Marios and Zanet!!!! BREAKFAST: One of my personal highlights! So abundant and delicious and with the morning view over the Caldera. Ahhhh! You can choose from 4-5 preset breakfast menus, all customizable and delicious. THE VILLA: The villa is also very nice. Small kitchenette with refrigerator and a stovetop, some glasses. We didn't cook so I didn't look for plates and utensils but I'm pretty sure there are some basics in the cabinets. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and decorated with plenty of lounging/sitting areas. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Everything is pristinely clean! I would personally change the basic shower curtain to something else and the shower rod had a couple of small rusty spots but this is really nitpicking!! It's very clean and comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The view from our room was phenomenal! Having our breakfast on the balcony looking over the water was a dream. The breakfast selections were also all delicious. Our room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower was perfect. Marios was incredibly helpful and always responded immediately and in a helpful manner. He had excellent recommendations, and even helped us further with recommendations for our trip to Cyprus. The rest of the staff was kind and wonderful as well! Amazing experience!

The breakfasts were excellent. Made to order and brought to the door of our room. The location and room were perfect and the staff were excellent. As others have mentioned, Marios was wonderful in making us feel at home and orienting us to what Santorini has to offer. I had left a camera battery charger in Athens. Marios went out of his way to expedite the delivery of the charger from the Athens hotel to our next hotel in Rhodes. Thank-you for making our stay in Santorini such a wonderful experience.

Honestly we couldn't think of anything. There are a lot of steps but that's to be expected for any property in Santorini.

Our room (Sunset Room) was amazing, from watching the sunset from our balcony to the luxury of the room. Service from staff was excellent & all went out of their way to make our stay very memorable. This hotel is a MUST!

Excellent location at the very end of Oia. The sunset suite was private and perfect with a perfect view of the sunset. The staff and service was exemplary, anything we needed was immediate and beyond expectation. We highly recommend Marizan Caves and Villas.

This hotel was absolutely magnificent! We came to Santorini for our honeymoon and had the most beautiful room with a sunset view and our own private pool. This was something that you see in postcards, absolutely beautiful. When we come back to Santorini, we will stay here again. The hosts were lovely and assisted us with everything and the daily breakfast on our balcony overlooking the ocean was excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

OMG! I did not want to leave tis place, the view is absolutely stunning, love that with the doors open you can look into the mirror and see the wonderful view. Having breakfast on our terrace is a perfect way to start the day. Would have been quite happy to have just stayed sitting out there all day. We stayed on our terrace to watch the sunset all of our 3 nights and why wouldn’t you, we had a perfect view. Marios was a wonderful host, helpful with restaurants and places to visit on the island, the rest of the staff are lovely and very hard working .

The location and view are beautiful. You don’t even have to leave your room to see Santorini’s famous sunsets. If I could leave the staff 10 stars I would. My wife and I are frequent travelers and the level of service was the best we have ever received. Marios and Zanet were amazing. They made reservations for us at restaurants and excursions after providing recommendations that were spot on. The porters and room staff were friendly and efficient as well. Top notch; I can’t say enough about this place. First class room and staff!

He took his time to show us everything on the map of Santorini and helped us whenever we needed. I would recommend it to everyone!!

If there is anything negative to say about Marizan & Caves would be the lack of room service after 9 PM. But really, that was the only thing that I could find to say, other than that everything was amazing.

I loved everything about this hotel( except the amount of stairs, but it’s Santorini and it is expected!). The size of the terrace of our room was massive, I didn’t expect this much. The cave room was gorgeous and the service and staff were stellar! I recommend it a thousand times and I will definitely stay here again if I come back

Brilliant location with fantastic views of the sea and sunset. Clean and spacious villas with good outdoor seating areas available. Extremely attentive staff - especially the porter who worked incredibly hard to ensure we could fully relax!

The location is magnificent, very private & spectacular views of the Caldera & Oia sunset. Balcony overlooks the sunset from every residence. Upon arrival we were welcomed in the car park & our large suitcases were carried in through cobbled winding walkways. We were then warmly greeted by the manager ‘Costas’ who made us very welcome & provided detailed information on the local area as well as suggested places we may want to look at. Any booking or enquiry we had was a pleasure for the staff to assist. The accommodation was immaculate with pre-ordered breakfast delivered to our door at a time we set. The area was immaculately clean with staff discreetly sweeping or moping the balcony areas regularly. Special touches in the evening of lighting outside lanterns created a beautiful ambience. Highly recommend

Not a criticism, but be mindful the property is build into the side of a cliff face so the stairs are steep, but very manageable if care is taken.

They welcomed and treated us as if we were family... lovely vacation! I would come back!

Do not have more time to stay

The entire staff was great. We loved how when we arrived, the host spent quality amount of time explaining to us all the wonderful amenities and attractions to Santorini. Making our first visit to the Island extremely wonderful. The attentiveness of the staff via email is also something that we appreciate a lot. The breakfast in room was awesome and we truly enjoyed it! Last but not least, the sunset view from our room was truly amazing. We have our own little private spot where we can enjoy the sunset without having to fight the crowd. This was truly awesome!!

Out of the way, which is nice. Great views of town. Quiet. Large rooms. Great staff. Lovely breakfasts delivered right to your room.

We had a sunset villa but because of the time of year, couldn't quite see the sun set as the room next to us (shared deck) had the better view. Luckily, the guests hadn't checked in yet one evening and we could use their space to watch the sun set. In fairness there are lots of spots on the property to see the sunset.

Costas the manager was possibly the nicest, most helpful person we have met and nothing was too much trouble. He and all the other staff were amazing people. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast bought to the balcony each morning was lovely and we sat on our balcony admiring the beautiful view of the sea, castle and boats in the harbour below us. The balcony view for the sunset was idyllic and so special and away from the crowds of visitors in Oia centre, very nice to drink our wine and relax on. It was very romantic, peaceful and worth every penny. I actually cried on the last day as we had had such a lovely time in the cave and was so sad to leave. The jacuzzi and terrace was a real bonus to relax on and watch the sunset also. This is a real gem in a beautiful location with wonderful people with the views of Oia on your doorstep. The bellboys are amazing and collected our cases from the taxi and the cleaners are outstanding. You can use the pool next door if you buy a drink also which was nice for a change to cool off and listen to some music in a lovely location. We can't rate our stay highly enough and have great memories that will stay with us forever. Thankyou Costas and all the staff, Julie and Paul, Worksop, notts England

We arrived at the hotel with the van arranged bu them. Zanet was waiting for us; she is extremelly friendly. She gave us the best reception ever! She explained everything about the island, recommended restaurants, helped us to arrange the van to go back to the airport, supported us in everything. The view of the hotel is breathtaking, you dont need to leave the hotel to see the sunset, the room is amazing, the pool with Caldera view is amazing. Just perfect!!!!

The breakfast was ok but not as good as I expected. The coffee was a little cup not a bit cup and that, for me, is essential.

The location of the hotel is brilliant with an amazing view of the Santorini sunset! You are also on the footstep of the main town with the world famous blue dome! I think that this hotel is with paying a visit.

We stayed at Marizan for 3 nights. I can’t tell you how gracious and excellent Zanet and Mario are to accommodate and help you with everything. Place is super clean and they do there best to maintain it at all times. It is located at tip of Oia with amazing sunset views and in quite area since it is at the end of Oia. I would highly recommend this place.

Our questions about how to pick the right spots to meet the next day’s Yachting activity were so eloquently explained and solved which did help us so much. The staff os just AWESOME. I mean, the whole staff (managers to maids). They are really helpful and nice. Marios is the manager and was really kind. He helped us renting a car and we had a problem (the car stopped working without any reason in the middle of the road), but we called Marios and in less than an hour, he rearranged with the rent Company another car for us. The breakfast is served in the room and is very good. You can choose one day before the option you want from the menu and what time. The room is cleaned everyday and is very confortable. It's well located, in the beautiful village of oia, better than many expensive hotels. You don't have to go else where to watch the sunset, because you can see it perfectly from the hotel, better than in restaurants where people are crowded. We Just loved our stay!!!!

It's a cave hotel (like every other hotel in oia), so the bathroom pretty much looks like a cave. The problem is that 1) It is small for big guys like me; 2) the water from the shower keeps falling out, so the rest of the bathroom is all wet (cuz there's no shower door). Besides this insignificant things, everything else was just GREAT.

Our cave had a stunning view of the Caldera. The location is right in Oia, but private and quiet so you don't have hundreds of people standing right over your villa to view the sunset. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast is served in your room. The service was amazing! Marios and all of the staff were so helpful and always had a smile on their faces.

Everything! It was in the best location, right at the edge of the end of Santorini, it was very private compared to other locations as the cliffs help you from being overlooked. The room and balcony was stunning and we couldn’t have asked for better, the terrace was huge with sunbeds and the hot tub was perfect! I can’t say more about the staff they literally couldn’t be more helpful and considerate, from the checkin where we were advised on restaurants and things to do, to carrying our luggage from the drop off point down to our room, to bringing our breakfast everyday to the balcony and keeping our room services everyday and the hot tub clean!

Nothing! Just be warned there are a LOT of steps so if you are infirm you may struggle to get up and down them.

The cleaner were fantastic, the blonde lady was my cleaning angle, never saw her in our room but we knew that she had been there. Just a smile and a hello. Wish I knew her name to thank her. Janet on reception was also fantastic. And the drinks at sunset was an added bonus. Thankyou.

There are so many steps and stairs to arrive the property, it's very common in santorini. The bell boy came to escort us at the parking lot where the reserved van dropped us. We gave him a good tip as we appreciated so much his efforts to move our 4 large luggages up and down with a cart. Also it was so nice that we could have breakfast right at our balcony, they served breakfast we ordered at the time frame we chose. The view of volcano and sea was amazing and breathtaking from our balcony. And hotel managers are professional and nice, they recommended restaurants and help rent a car, arranged cabs for us to have dinner. We stayed in a family room which looked exactly the same on website pictures, the size and space were right as we expected. Overall we had a great time in santorini.

We thought we could have seen sunset from our balcony since this room is named "sunset suite ", this property locates at Oia on the most west end of island, that's why we chose it. We got a bit disappointed about it. According to the description on website we could have seen sunset right from our balcony, so that we could avoid crowd at the public spot for sunset view. Managers explained it was because of season, which I understood but if you desired to see sunset from your room, there are some other options than this property.

We stayed for 3 nights at Marizan caves, we had a room with sunset view on the balcony. The location of the hotel is at the end of Oia, so it is not in the middle of the crowd, which is peaceful and relaxing. We were more than happy to wake up with that amazing view over the caldeira and enjoy an excellent breakfast on the balcony (you have menus to choose between different kinds of breakfasts). At the end of the day, we could relax on the shared jacuzzi (in which we were just the two of us every time). The crew is very kind and helpful in every way. We had the most wonderful stay ever! Thanks a lot.

Everything was perfect! Best view of the sunset from our private patio. Staff were so accommodating and helpful with everything from checking us in, breakfast every morning on our private patio overlooking the ocean, recommendations for activities and restaurant, anything and everything we needed they helped us with. We were there for our honeymoon and arrived later in the evening when it was dark. Costas arranged a shuttle for us and met us at the front office. We were surprised with the breathtaking views when we woke up in the light the next day. I would recommend this place to anyone it is so close to all the restaurants, at the end of Oia so you have a little privacy and amazing sunset views from the property which can be hard to come by at many other hotels (do your research!). I know we will be back!!

This is the best hotel in Oia to see the sunset. All of the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They were very responsive to our questions and helped us book several things making our stay and vacation just perfect.

People world over go to Oia to watch sunset. This is the best location. You can watch the sunset and the caldera from your terrace. The hosts, Kostas and Yannis are super friendly and helpful for meeting all your wishes. Breakfast is sumptuous and prompt. Being at the northern end, it is also amazingly quiet and away from the bustle of Oia. Perfect for a romantic secluded pampered getaway. One advice - do use their transport when you arrive or depart and don't attempt to drag your luggage in Oia.

A noisy neighbor who played loud music during sunset one day. Marizan has to make a policy to tell their customers not to disturb others like that.

When we booked the apartment...it said that it had a kitchenette which was one of the main reason for us when booking it. But there was nothing there....which was disappointing. I just wish we had known about it. When we mentioned it to the owner...he said that they needed to update that information on their website & thats it.

Costas and the Mirizan staff were exceptional. Check in was very smooth, the breakfast served out on our balcony every morning while over looking the famous Santorini Caldera was amazing, and the view of the sunsets from our room were exceptional. Oia can get very congested around the sunset, however, we were just able to peacefully watch the sunset each evening from our private balcony. We would highly recommend staying and definitely stay there again in the future.

I like their service, great view (mine is the sunset cave room), yummy breakfast & coffee. Kostas always have a smiley face and passion on showing us where to go and eat on the map. He also proactively asked for my arrival time and whether I need car picked up. We came by ferry and it was good to have them picked us up from the port to the hotel. Their staff was right there at the drop off place to take our luggage to the hotel room. Otherwise we have to take the luggage across the rocky road and steps. The staff is very nice and hard working. I saw them wrap the sofa and chair outside our room in early morning. It is hard to have no dusk as it was very windy by the time I stayed. But I appreciate all their hard work. The view is good for sunset with privacy. We could enjoy it at our terrace and also went out to take the evening view with the windmill nearby. The location is good and convenient to the Oia castle, Ammoudi Bay and Shopping Centre in Oia.
