We stayed in the King Suite and the room and surroundings were elegant from the fireplace, balcony, comfortable bed, and the period furniture. The bathroom was also spacious. The breakfast options were delicious and the service was always friendly.
Unfortunately, our suite did not have strong WiFi. If you need this as we do (work, entertainment), you may wish to stay elsewhere.
Exterior of premises and all areas outside our room were well maintained and very nice in appearance. Everyone was very friendly.
You could not see the TV from the bed--the armoir with the TV was turned away from the bed and the armoir doors would not open far enough to allow us to see from the bed. This seems like an obvious no-no--we've never had this happen before. The owners put a couch in front of the TV because they knew if couldn't be seen from the bed. That's not good enough. My wife and I thought of several fixes to remedy this problem--if the management can't use their imagination to come up with ideas maybe they should consult past tenants. The room was ok, but markedly different from the rest of the hotel. The exterior of the building was nice, all the entries and hallways were nearly impeccable. But our room seemed to have worn carpet, worn furniture and be almost devoid of decor. It could have done with some lively pictures, and maybe some brighter paint. Pretty dull. We agreed they need an interior decorator for that room. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly slow. And by that, I mean over an hour after ordering you still don't have the meal. At breakfast two people who came after us were served and ATE their entire meals before we were SERVED. Being the only ones left, I asked the server why and he said it was about "process". Yes, the process of them being served first--all we ordered was an omelette and French Toast. Oddly, even after the other people were served and eating, the server came to us to mention the chef had run out of potatoes for our omelette, and would we settle for a substitute? Add insult to injury. Finally, I did order French Toast. But it just seemed like toast with butter, although it was bathed in jam and berries. My idea of French Toast, and every other B&B I've been too, is a little bit more robust I think. We still gave them a tip, but I think they deserve this review.
Lovely spot with great Niagara Vistas. Enjoyed our time.
Some of the room accouterments where a bit worn, and updates are needed.
It is just beautiful place, nice rooms with excellent furniture and design, welcoming staff, very clean
Beautiful accomodation close to the town of Niagara-on-the-lake, which is probably the nicest cities in Ontario. Large room with a comfortable bed and a gas fireplace. The breakfast was good. Dinner in the restaurant was great the first evening, but somewhat disappointing on the second evening. The service was excellent and friendly.
Showers with fixed showerhead only. Guests that book a room with breakfast don't get to choose from the full breakfast menu. Restaurant prices seemed high, which may be normal in the region, but the value for money could have been better.
