Pros: We arrived late along the lovely landscaped drive. Greeted by Malcolm and allocated a great apartment in a beautiful peaceful location. Would recommend with no hesitation. Left with regret that we didn’t have longer. Very quiet rooms and location close enough to town and all tourist facilities. Top class

Pros: This motel isn’t a new property but it was very clean, the staff were friendly and kindly offered to move their car for us. The indoor pool was great for our family as was the kids playground and the trampoline. It took no time to get to the beach and supermarkets. And they left lovely sweets in the fridge for us. We recommend this motel. Great value for money, especially as New Plymouth is so lovely.

Cons: The staff were not very friendly and they were pretty miserly with the milk (in a tiny little jug). The bathroom had no hand basin as the hand basin was in the bedroom/ kitchen area and doubled as a sink. The bed had seen better days. There was paint peeling off the roof above the shower and the shower walls did not seem to be properly sealed at the bottom, but it was clean.

There was enough room for a 1 night stay with our 2 grandsons. Queen size bed and a single in the main lounge area and 2 singles in the bedroom. Parking is outside the door. We had a bottom level room and there was a ramp or you could use a step. Grassy area out the back and a BBQ area. Also a laundry but we didnt use that.

Cons: Being upstairs we had to carry our gear quite a way from where our car was parked, it took us 4 trips to get everything in. The door on our unit didn't seal very well and there was a rather big breeze coming in, in fact my husband slept in the single bed away from the door.

Toaster is broken, went to cook toast and within seconds one side was burning, smoked out the room and the other side uncooked. Lady at reception wasnt friendly at all. A dodgy swing set for the kids to play on. Grounds are bit messy. And room smelt dusty. Stains all over floors and bed covers.
