Great location, very close to the French Quarter and Esplanade Avenue. Nice seating outside the room around the pool
Bed was rather old, squeaky and uncomfortable, we had a king bed and every time one of us turned the whole bed shook like an earthquake. It does, however, keep its old southern charm of French colonial architecture, so I could forgive the bed.
Good location and nice service
Pool needed to be cleaned around edges ,bathtubs need to be cleaned and beds need to be replaced . They were hard.
Angie at the front desk
No breakfast, did not have a good room it was very loud , it was near the lobby so you heard everytime the front door opened (it needed oil). The towels were thread bare the headboard was fake leather and it was flacking off. No ice bucket or cups in the room. In pool area a bright pink fake fingernail laid by the ice machine the whole time we were there
I loved the look of the hotel and the location is awesome! It is right by the French Quarter but away from the noise. It is also by a not so great neighborhood but if you watch what streets you travel by foot you will be fine. The office employees are very open about telling you where those areas are. The pools were good enough for the short time we spent at the hotel due to walking around so much. It is also walking distance to get to the aquarium and other tourist attractions.
One thing I will say is don't get upset when you walk in to your room w/o enough towels there. The staff are very easy to get along with and will promptly bring you some.
Great location, lovely older building, nice staff.
Had to ask for wash clothes every day. Rusty hardware in the bathroom, hot water did not work right. Even though building old, room and amenities should be up to date.
