Pros: The Hotel was modern, clean and staff all very welcoming. The pool area was lovely with a well equipped bar also serving food. Everything was washed down each morning and the outside toilets were modern and always clean, music was also played sometimes which was nice. The bedroom were equipped with everything you needed and the shower was nice and powerful. Rooms were cleaned everyday.We only had breakfast but it was lovely and great choice. Location wise, yes it is a walk into the town which we didn't mind but would prove difficult if you weren't fit and able. The Beach is down a steep hill which is ok going down but coming up it is very steep again would prove difficuly for the less able.

The parador was easy to get to from the main highway and is perched up on the cliff, but the great thing is that it has a private elevator down to beach (which closes at 10pm so plan ahead). We had superior ocean facing rooms and the views did not disappoint. It was so nice sitting on the balcony and having a beer and watching the sunset. The grounds are very well kept and there are numerous lounges and umbrellas on the grass overlooking the beach. Pool was nice and you an see the ocean from the pool which is always good. Rooms were spotless, updated and nice and what you would expect for a 4 star beach resort. Breakfast which was included in our room rate was fantastic - lots of options including breads, pastries, cured meats and cheeses, eggs made to order, tons of fresh fruit. We did not have dinner in the restaurant as there are so many choices nearby. One other reason we chose the parador, parking. The hotel has easy, ample parking lot in front. We would return here for sure.

Cons: The one night that we went out to dinner down on the beach we returned to discover that the hotel had locked the gate to the elevator and it was around 10:30pm (still early by Spanish standards). As a result we had a trek up the hill back to the hotel, which is a steep climb. There were no signs posted anywhere near the elevator indicating what time they locked and closed the elevator. I think a simple sign to indicate the elevator operating hours would be very helpful.

Cons: It was an amazing place and we cannot wait to return. The room did not have a balcony or sea view but we booked it last minute at peak season so hardly surprising. Tbe shower varied on temperature which was annoying The bathroom in general needed an update. The room was comfortable and the food and staff were amazing We loved it.

Cons: The constant noise from outside, the loudness and it was seriously unsuited to my stay. The Spa was a sad and ill equipped environment for 1:1 treatments. The staff did their best, but it is cramped and uncomfortable for private and peaceful pleasure. I believe that the staff were doing their very best in space they have. I would happily provide ideas for improvement.

Cons: The only thing the property lacked was air conditioning. As our stay was in July, air con was very much needed. Fans were provided but did very little in the heat! All in all I would definitely recommend Las Rosas and would stay again.

Pool was very nice although it needed some cleaning. The view was breathtaking, as you could see the sea. We had a large room with a large terrass on second floor.

Cons: Full on building site outside bedroom! Poor bar staff, well 1 in particular. I ordered a gin and tonic and when served I asked for a slice of lemon to be told they did not have any. I said okay I will have a Sam Miguel instead. The waitress replied she would check with the kitchen but said “the next time you order a gin and tonic ask if we have lemons first!!” Sad to hear Maria has left

Cons: We had to stay all day after we checked out as our flight was a late one ...we were lucky to be able to use the pool all day and the reception minded our bags , however the showers were broken in the changing rooms.....but the lovely lady behind reception did allow me to use a shower in another room....so it worked out ok!! Only thing I suppose I didnt like was we couldn't stay longer!!!

Cons: Only problem, while temporary for a year or two is the adjacent building site next door (building a new hotel) which is noisy with banging and jcb's from 7.30am till 2.30pm Monday to Friday. no good if you want a quiet stay just now. However on complaining the manager was very helpful in relocating our room which was perfect,

Cons: Location not bad 2mins to the beach but so many stairs for us folk who are getting on, not far from town but again its up hill lovely walk back. I got the hotel to book me a taxi to the Malaga airport which was a good ride but cost 70euros most taxi's charged 65euros got to the airport the driver said he didnt take visa his machine was broke ( not sure I believed him ) I only had 20 euros in cash so he said I had to go into the hotel to a machine while he waited with my suitcase why didnt he say something when we left.

Even though it says you could not reserve seats by the pool by leaving a towel this was not enforced and all of the seats were gone by 9.30. The balcony from my room was narrower then the door, it was a single door. If you like a good nights sleep don't stay here.
