Pros (+) No breakfast, continental or otherwise. Disappointing after being told at check-in there would be a continental-ish breakfast.
Cons (-) While the room (including bathroom) was very clean, the carpet needed some serious attention.

Pros (+) Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower.
Cons (-) While there was good water pressure, the shower head made it feel like the steams of water were needles. Also, there was no complimentary breakfast though I'm quite sure the reservation said there was. Lastly, they stuck us with an additional, and not disclosed, "energy fee" We stayed at 3 other hotels in California and didn't see this "fee" charged (or disclosed if it was). Just left a bad feelin...
