Hotel Wallis

“Second stay here and hopefully not the last. The staff here are second to none and make a nice hotel great. Large room with a balcony this time, beds are very comfortable, bathroom large and plenty of space. The fridge is useful for that post 22:00 drink (new covid rules). The breakfast is fantastic large selection of cold cuts, fruit, yogurt, breads etc as well as a selection of eggs, hot sausage etc. It is only a short walk to the main station, then in the opposite direction to the centre of the city or Sendlinger Tor. However I am yet to find any staff that are as nice and welcoming as they are here. Well worth a visit”

“We appreciated a lot the staff, especially Pasqualina, very professional, informed, and kind person. Room quite big and beautiful. Good position about 20 min walk from city centre. Excellent breakfast Very good price considering average in Munchen.”

“Thought I had reviewed already but was so good needs a second review. Ideally placed just 5 minute walk from the main station or about 1 minute from the ubahn/tram stop; 15 mins to Marien Platz and 30 from start of Englische Garten. Room was a love size and even though on main road was quiet with windows closed. The aircon was brilliant and a rare thing in Munich, the external blinds made it like you were sleeping in cave it was so dark. Room had a little fridge which was very useful, beds extremely comfortable and the shower very hot and powerful. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the Prosecco at the weekends a nice touch (if you like that sort of thing) But on top of that the staff were second to none! The breakfast staff were very helpful understanding English as well as they did my poor German and were alway happy to make up a tray of breakfast for my girlfriend who thinks anything before 11am is a myth and doesn’t exist. Have stayed in Munich many times for different reasons but now wouldn’t stay anywhere else.”

“Ideally located about 150m from the tram or 5 minute walk to the Hauptbanhof this is a hidden gem of a hotel. Lots of roadworks on going so seemed a lot busier on the streets than normal but you walk into a sea of tranquility at reception. Desk staff are fantastic any time day or night, indeed all the staff are fantastic and so very attentive. Room was a lovely size, bathrooms functional, clean and great shower (instant hot water is alway a winner with me). Aircon was great, external blinds made the rooms very dark and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was second to none. Pre ordered on a weekday due to covid regs, fantastic coffee good German breakfast spread with eggs cooked fresh. Weekend is a buffet with a brilliant spread including Prosecco. The ladies at breakfast really good packing me a breakfast for my girlfriend in the room with enough food and coffee to feed an army. As said 150m from the team, short walk to Marienplatz (15mins) great cocktail bar and probably the nicest kebab restaurant within 50m. Price was very VERY good and would strongly recommend this hotel.”
