Pros: Good meal , OK breakfast ,
Cons: Poor rather small room . Manager indifferent to us and we were not greeted as the French locals were. Do they think we do not notice !
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent bistro and breakfast, very comfortable room.
Cons: Absolutely superb....excellent all round!!
Pros: Really quirky decor, friendly staff, very comfortable room and accessable parking
Cons: Had to pay twice what was expected for parking but minor issue.
Pros: Comfortable bed and good bedding. Everything worked! Large walk in shower and well planned bathroom. Very good breakfast. All contributed to a relaxing stay.
Cons: Restaurant was ok and the service good but the food could have been better cooked- my steak was tough, undercooked and cold.
Pros: The staff were very helpfull
Cons: Layout of the buffet could have been better
Pros: Central location with easy walks to the shops and good selection of the restaurants and bars. The room was clean, spacious, the bed was comfortable for my taste. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall very comfortable and pleasant stay.
Cons: There is no parking allocated to the hotel. We had to pay extra for parking. We didn't have breakfast as it was expensive and per our understanding did not include much choice for vegetarians. Disappointment of the hotel choice to replace the normal ceramic cups for teas and coffee with the small sized thin and flimsy paper cups. It negates the image for four star hotel and is also not environmentally friendly option in our opinion.
Pros: The restaurant in the hotel is rated very highly by Trip Advisor and we ate there two times and each time was very good. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance of everything we needed. We were able to walk with our suitcases to the train station which was a 10 minute walk.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like.
Pros: The staff were incredibly helpful, very important as I was on my own and my French is pretty poor. My room was lovely, very quiet, spotlessly clean. The selection at breakfast was very good and everything of good quality. Especially the coffee! The hotel was well situated being a short walk from the train station and also buses nearby. Hotel restaurant good also.
Cons: My only tiny complaint would be a lack of vegetarian choices on the restaurant menu but the staff did their best to cater for me.
Pros: Nice modern hotel
Cons: Requested off-road parking for two motorbikes pre-booking. When arrived told carpark would not accept bikes so they had to left outside on the path. Staff unsympathetic!
Pros: Good location Spacious clean rooms Helpful friendly staff
Cons: They only provided one complimentary bottle of water even though there were two guests in the room . No toiletries (shower cap, cotton wool pads, ear buds, shaver, toothpaste) in bathroom .

This hotel has facilities measuring 1291 square feet (120 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was ok.
Cons: The room was way too small for two people and two small dogs. Also there is no elevator to the second floor. Hard work!!
Pros: Clean, tidy and friendly staff
Cons: Not a good location and very dissapointed the restaurant is closed on Sunday, if this had been in the brief, we would not have booked the hotel.
Pros: Breakfast Good. Plenty to choose from on buffett Room clean and comfortable. Plenty of free parking Restaurant was open in the evening enjoyed our meal. Good service.
Cons: Nothing liked it all
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The disabled room was much too small for a wheel chair to manœuvre. The restaurant was closed on a Friday.
Pros: Comfy bed for the night and hot shower. Bottle of water in room.
Cons: Position of the kettle etc
Pros: Staff very friendly, nice large car park, bed lovely and comfy, added bonus of tea and coffee making in room, shower was amazing, stayed here a few times when travelling and will use again
Cons: Not that easy to find, water in taps was warm and no bottled water available
Pros: Close to town centre. Good, free parking at building. Brightly decorated and modern style. Breakfast was a good variety and relaxed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good WiFi.
Cons: Rooms a little cramped and not fully sound proofed. Luckily we had great ‘neighbours’ this time! So not a problem.

See hotel page In a perfect spot at the heart of La Roche-sur-Yon, The Originals City, Hotel Napolon, La Roche-sur-Yon is elegant, cosy and practical. For the Manager, Sbastien Trichet, service quality and attentiveness to guests are essential. The 29 rooms reflect the hotel's desire to offer 'perfect service'. These private living spaces have some modern touches, making them extremely practical. The perfect place to rest and relax after a day in La Roche-sur-Yon.
Pros: Comfortable room, good breakfast.
Pros: The hotel was situated close to everything I needed to find. The bed was very comfortable. I would go back and stay a while longer.
Cons: The only thing missing for me was a news channel in English, bbc world might have been good.
Cons: Check in time on booking form was 15.00 When we arrived at this time it was all locked and we had to wait for 2 hours with baby and children
Pros: Very enjoyable stay, friendly helpful owners, directions, recommendations etc. Spacious clean comfortable room. Convenient to the Centre and SNCF station. Good breakfast.
Pros: We had a "club" room, which was very comfortable and quite roomy :-) Excellent bath/shower and nice to have a seperate loo. Free street parking 7.00pm til 9.00am plus a further hour free in the morning, via the ticket machine. All the staff we met were very friendly
Cons: Although there was a mini bar in the room, we would have preferrred tea/coffee making facilities :-) The hair dryer was a bit weak
With a stay at Citotel Marie Stuart in La Roche-sur-Yon, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Place Napoleon and La Roche-sur-Yon Municipal Museum.
Pros: We wanted to stay in a old style french hotel and this hotel met all those requirements. Owner and staff were very helpful and friendly, food good and reasonly priced drinks would stay here again
Pros: The real "French Feel" of an authentic small hotel. The breakfast was delicious and excellent value for money and the owner was charming. The room although small had some lovely furniture and the bed was clean and comfortable. Importantly for us it was very dog friendly.
Cons: The bathroom facilities could probably do with updating.
Pros: The food was good. Décor a bit marie celeste; very French but opposite railway station. Overall a reasonable place but needs serious up-dating.
Cons: Room cluttered and furnishings very tired. Feel the owners, elderly but very friendly and accommodating. VERY Scottish - owners wife from Aberdeen..........
Pros: I travel for work all the time, and have stayed in thousands of hotels, all over the world, over the last 35 years. This hotel is up there with my all time favourite, The Casablanca in Almunecar (where I now live). For the same reasons. Faultless. And, most importantly, different. I know with chains you know what you're getting, but.... So good to stay somewhere that is unique. The owner is a force of nature. So interesting, friendly, funny and helpful, am not sure he ever actually sleeps. But he makes it look effortless, nothing is too much trouble. Although I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into keeping a hotel like this running. Had booked half board; evening meal amazing. Ditto breakfast. Location, parking, the town, all first rate. Having said will never travel again, as am finally on my way home for good, I will make an exception, and go back. As was sad that only had one night in the town and hotel.
Located in La Roche-sur-Yon, Citotel Le Sully is within a 5-minute drive of Place Napoleon and La Roche-sur-Yon Municipal Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Did an overnight stay on our journey to and from the south west of France. It was a great place to stay and would recommend it for this purpose.
Cons: Bar and restaurant closed on Sundays
Pros: Convenient for motorway travellers.
Cons: Initial confusion over whether I had pre-paid or not (I had) was unwelcome as I was hot and tired after cycling 100 kms to get there. They eventually agreed to accommodate my bike in their garage after initially suggesting public lockers off their site. Eight euros for breakfast seemed a lot (I declined). Wifi did not work in my room - pretty unforgivable in 2019.
Pros: Pretty basic.
Cons: Tiny bathroom. Could barely sit on the toilet without your knees hitting the door.
Pros: Not a lot.
Cons: THE SIZE OF THE TOILET! The lack of ventilation in the bathroom and toilet (taped up) The tardy stairway.
Pros: Old style hotel but good value for the price. Very comfortable and quiet - located on edge of the city with good parking. Breakfast was very good and fair price.
Pros: The friendliness, the cleanliness, the possibility to have a meal on the spot, the parking facilities.
Pros: Very clean
Cons: No lift. Only 2 sockets far from the bed. Heating timed, room can be cold. Tiny bathroom with toilet and wooden door. Not enough serving time to eat. ALL THE ABOVE KNOWN when booking was already made with cancellation fee applied.
Pros: Friendly polite staff, basic budget accommodation for overnight stay or short break. Clean rooms. We booked 1 double and 2 twin rooms all to a good standard
Cons: Slightly noisy location we faced main road with traffic location on busy throughfair
Pros: efficient and good breakfast
Pros: Friendly atmosphere, somewhat 'cheap and cheerful' but, hey, it was cheap and cheerful! Had a two bedded room with 5 beds for a single traveller for no apparent reason ! Couldn't access Wifi as room was too remote.
Pros: The staff were very accomodating, good value for money.
Pros: Its realy just a Hotel if you need an over night stop. We couldn't find anything near puy du fou.
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: Hotel is a Routiers Truck Stop. Nothing wrong with that except it was not clear when booking
Pros: Breakfast ok. Service ok. Enough parking. WiFi-Internet access. Room size ok.
Cons: 1. Very cold in the room (10°c inside) in winter (-4° outside) even though the radiator was on maximum hot continuously. 2. the bathroom: The bathroom and the vestibule are the same unit. There's no door between them. The hook for shower head is kaput totally. There's no any hooks for clothes in bathoom. Only two towels. Normal is 3 per person.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Cheap and good location.
Cons: Noisy and very small rooms.
Pros: Good location and facilities.
Cons: Tiny box like rooms. Limited breakfast.
Cons: Our room was dirty, there was a pizza box from previous guest and it smelled of cigarrettes. We went downstairs to complain and the woman only said: no! As in desbelief Next day we had a request and I couldn't understand because my French is not great and she said: its not hard to understand Very rude
With a stay at Hôtel de la Vendée in La Roche-sur-Yon, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Place Napoleon and St. Louis Church. Featured amenities include express check-in and an elevator (lift).
Pros: Very comfortable bed after a long drive from Spain. Efficient check in and friendly staff. Location is good as only a few minutes walk from the centre.
Cons: There was major reconstruction of the indoor market right next door and so getting to the hotel was not as straightforward as it would normally be and the park is restricted. Parking regulations in force at the time are also confusing! Depending which side of the hotel you are on it can be noisey from 0500 onwards due to the market stall holders setting up for the day. The bedroom and bathroom could do with a refurb but this is a 2* hotel so cant complain too much.
Pros: The staff manning the front desk was awesome. They were welcoming, cheerful and full of information about where to eat. We stayed only one night coming in in the evening and leaving early the next day, but the staff was definitely a high point. The rooms were comfortable but plain, but they also were not expensive. A good stay.

Cons: Could not get in the hotel. The reception desk was unmanned. The bedding needs updating it was clean and tidy but dated
