Pros: Excellent breakfest, with bread, fruits, egg, milk, juice, etc. Very kind and attentive staff. In our check-in they told us all the tours available and booked them, so it was very important to enjoy the maximum our stay. We loved Katrina! The location is very good, a 5 min walk to Santa Elena city town. The correct grade is 8,6, but booking doesn't offer this possibility (8 or 9)

Pros: Super clean, fantastic staff, excellent value. Would stay here again, no question! The staff helped me choose and book activities, recommended places to eat, and were just generally super helpful. They have a beautiful sweet dog and kitten that make waiting for shuttles (which come to the door) and breakfast very pleasant. It’s just very slightly outside of central Santa Elena, but absolutely walkable to all the restaurants and whatnot in town.

Cons: The minifridge in our room didn't work, so we had to keep our perishable food in the hostel fridge, out of the room. Room a little nasty, but this we knew, and window orientated to corridor, so the privacy was not so good.

Cons: Really, not much. Everything was at the very top end of my expectations for this price range. One very minor suggestion for improvement, the wall behind the bigger bed in room twelve has a rough cement texture that scraped my knuckles twice. Maybe add a headboard?

Pros: The breakfast was basic but sufficient to get you started for the day. The personnel dealt with all our requests for trips / things to do (ziplining !!) in a very efficient and friendly way. It was just a few minutes walk downhill into the town centre. Older folks may want to take a taxi back (just a couple of $).

Cons: Be aware that this area of the country is very windy. The wind howled and shook the building all night. This seems more like a backpacker's hotel, like most of the hotels in the town. Luxurious it is not, but it is clean and safe, and the staff is friendly.
