Pros: - The owner Giuseppe extremely kindly picked us up at the train station. After our stay he offered us a transfer back to the train station. - The apartment is very spacious and has a big terrace which is really comfortable, especially for families. - The beach is very close (50m) offering great swimming on a sunny day - Milazzo port is 15 mins walk - offering fantastic day trips by boat to Eolian Islands (Stromboli by night with eruptions and lava is a must for nature lovers)

Pros: The accomodation was really nice and clean. It is in walking distance to the harbour and we could park the car for free in the neighbourhood of the accomodation. We already had to leave early in the morning to take the ferry to Stromboli, so the host made us breakfast to take away. Definitely recommend this place.

The room was clean and comfortable, it was conveniently close to the restaurants and harbour. What I liked in the morning was the breakfast tray with the name of the room.

Pros: The hotel is excellent. The reception is professional and efficient, trying to help you in any need you may have. The location is great (the private beach and the balconies facing the sea make one happy). The rooms are large enough to host 2 people comfortably, and the breakfast is good. The hotel allowed us to leave the 2 cars we rented in their car park and the luggages in their storage room. Finally, they printed the boarding pass for us.

Pros: This no-frills hotel turned out a sort of a hidden gem for us - even though it's not luxury by any standard (which is reflected in a more than reasonable price), it is well kept and brilliantly located just minutes walk from the town but on a rather secluded stretch of the coast with a small private beach we almost had to ourselves with next to no other guests in the end of September. Large and easy to access parking lot. Fantastic sea view from the room. Decent breakfast right by the sea.

Cons: I guess they could have have thrown in some more amenities like slippers, a couple of chairs on the balcony, a choice of something hot for breakfast, a bar open later in the season but that would certainly raise the price. For the price we paid we couldn't seriously expect more and we were very happy with what we got.

Cons: However I hadn't noticed it was so far out of town (not a problem if you were feeling remotely energetic, which we weren't). And there was one nicely situated restaurant nearby, but food was very average. Also the room was really hot and the aircon really noisy. It was the last night of our stay in late June and the first time I'd wanted to use aircon anywhere, not sure why this room was so hot.

Cons: Everything was excellent. Only issue is trying to find parking during July and August. Although parking is free, it is public on street parking not reserved. It can take up to a half hour for a spot to open. If you have the patience to wait, hotel Garabaldi is worth it.
