Should be more clear and secure
Wasn't bad for the price
A place to sleep . got to sleep until noon. I felt safe. People didn't bother me.
No tissues. WiFi isn't free. No shampoo or conditioner ( I brought my own just trying to help others)
I originally liked the price I was quoted only to find out later on my credit card bill I was over charged. I should have taken more time to look over but with the scene going on with the police I just wanted to get out. It gives a wacky story to tell about taking a child to college.
It should have been a sign to leave when we saw the trail of blood that led to the room before ours but we stayed after a long drive to Cleveland. The room smelled like smoke in a supposedly non-smoking room and felt dirty. Not once were the sheets changed in the 3 days there nor was the trash emptied. I had to ask for clean towels but the used ones were not picked up. The tub was clogged so when you showered the water filled to ankles. From walking in the room only barefoot the bottom of our feet were so dirty. Police sirens heard throughout the night. When we checked out around 3 AM 3 police cars were in the parking lot apprehending a man who was screaming near the front desk. I have never written any review but this stay was so unbelievable I had to.
Book a different hotel.
We arrived around 2AM after driving from Sandusky (we're originally from IL) and went to check in, the desk clerk (best description since it was actually the head of house keeping and she was just "coverin' someone shift") gave us our key to our room, we went to get settled and the room wasn't cleaned AT ALL, no sheets on the bed, etc. So I went back to the lobby (if that's what you want to call it) and requested a different room, this time non-smoking, as the last room was also a smoking room even though we requested non-smoking. She said "awh, I don't even know was goin' on cause you ain't the first person to tell me they room ain't clean, but we ain't got no more rooms." So I ask if maybe there was a sister motel and she said they aren't affiliated with any other motels but when they "full up" they send people down the road to another place (other motel name not included). So I try to get a refund and since my mom was the one who treated us by paying on her card (mind you, she's still in IL) and we booked online she said she, couldn't give a cash refund and she had to call booking.com to run it. She also needed the credit card number and demanded that I call and get it (again, 2AM in Ohio and 1AM in IL) I tried to call and obviously my mother was sleeping so she didn't answer (in the meantime this lady is flipping through channels on the television, acting QUITE impatient), she gave up on the refund and gave us someone else's nonsmoking room. We go to that one and it's also fairly dirty (gross hairy tub, gross hairy sheets, bedding in general not washed and the room smelled like urine). We gave up and just put our own sheets etc. on the bed and went to sleep. Between 1030 and 11AM, house keeping is rapidly POUNDING on our door, 3x in less than 30 seconds before announcing that she was coming in. My fiancé quickly got up and she asked if "we was leaving" he replied no and shut the door, 10 minutes later I step outside to the car and she's still outside the room and now asked me "ya'll leavin' yet?" We checked out 20 minutes later unable to even get a receipt apparently once again the reasoning was because we booked online. Long story longer, avoid at all costs if you want to feel clean when you stay at a hotel.
