Staff is kind and friendly
The last day I stayed in there we ran out of water, I had an appointment at 9 am, I had to take water bottles to take a "shower" apart from that the hotel was very good
We had two bedroom suite with shared kitchen. When we saw them we were suprised how big they are. Rooms are clean well equipped. Hotel itself is very well located around 10 min walk from city center. There is no breakfast served but it is not an issue. There's plenty of restaurants and bars around.
Everything was perfect.
Great staff and good location.
Not being subject to BED BUGS, FLEAS! Really A dump >>DO NOT BE DECIEVED by the photos ! The staff ( seems to be all teenagers ) are much more interested in being on line than doing more than absolutely necessary ! NO : ICE - WATER- DRINKING Glass - Stationary - ZIP , NADA ….basically you are camping out ! ….Crummy encrusted Plumbing , ( sometimes NO WATER) faucets very difficult to turn ! ( they even had neglected my $20 transport from Airport ..a BAD START ..stressful! The Coup de gras : Sitting in new lodgings COVERED in WELTS and BLISTERS ..and swollen FACE ...from two NIGHTS of agony due to UNKNOW ( BED BUGS/ FLEAS!?) AND >>GET THIS !!!....THEY were NASTY to me ( I HAD BEEN THERE A MONTH!!!!) at check out when I asked the last two nights be "COMPED" ...the "chica" at the desk copped ATITUDE and said the GM would only allow "discount" for the two HELLISH nights..( .I was so HOT AND MISERABLE I JUST DID NOT HAVE IT IN ME TO FURTHER PURSUE! ..Even my threats of writing this review DID NOTHING to AMELIORIATE the situation! STAY AWAY!!
Price is good, but I expected much more. The official pictures are very, very nice - good photographer, but the pics have nothing to do with what we‘ve got. WiFi worked more or less in the patio. Safe. Oxxo nearby, for everything else you need to go to the center of Merida by taxi (app. 50 pesos; wouldn’t recommend walking).
Rooms are supposed to have a balcony, but both rooms we got didn’t even have a window. The rooms smelled wet/ moldy. Ok, the swimming pool is cleaned every day, but I would never jump in, water seemed not ok. Besides that it’s much to small to swim in it. There’s no service at all, no bottle of water on the room(drinks or coffee can not be bought at the hotel), no fridge. Receptionist has nothing to do whole day long, but never thought about removing the trash (empty bottles etc.) from the public area in the patio.
