eccelent breakfast, great staff.
The staff is awesome, their attitude and service are top! Always with a smile and supportive. There is a whirlpool outside in a very cosy corner of tge swimming pool area that is great.
We booked last minute a room that ended up being really too small (no space for bedside tables! for example) and pending a renovation (bathroom was new though). That room was really not worth the price. The following day when I decided to check out and forego the money paid for the second day, they convinced me to stay in a different room. The second room was much better, new, with view to the swimming pool area. Nevertheless the mattress was a bit worn out, not allowing you to rest properly. Merano is beautiful but expensive, so better to check out in advance what you get for your money.
Unfortunately this hotel segregate guests in the breakfast. Family’s names are placed on the breakfast tables. No matter if you pay the same room rate, as I paid USD 193.00. If you are one night guest, in the morning, your breakfast will be served in a corridor table, facing the kitchen door. You are not allowed to eat it at the principal breakfast room, facing the beautiful gardens that the hotel has. That place is reserved for “vip guests”. Hotel explanation, at the check out time: “the hotel can not treat guests with one night reservation, to five night reservation guests. They need to be cared differently. If you want to eat breakfast at the principal breakfast room, you must come before 7:30, or, after 9:30 AM.” By the end of our check out conversation: the hotel invited us to come back in the future, and, have breakfast next time, in the same place, at a corridor table again. So, take your on judgement, regarding this hotel policies.
The garden, pool area and breakfast! It is a beautiful place. There is an attention to details in the whole place that makes it so special. Organic food, local products, and a lot of different well thought through options for breakfast makes it great. There is also free hot and warm teas of different kinds that is always available. And the service there is the best!
No fridge inn the room if you have an ordinary room. And it was not possible to buy food inn the bar. The pool and garden is beautiful and a great place, so it would have been nice to have some possibilities to buy food without going out.
Really lovely and well kept gardens and swimming pool and even a little playground which our son loved. The kitchen’s equipment in the apartment was basic but had all we needed. Staff are all really friendly and helpful.
