Pros: Charming hotel in old convent. Beautifully decorated and a delightful garden where breakfast was served. Ideally situated in old city area. Good restaurants and bars nearby
Cons: We liked everything

Pros: Beautiful old building in a quiet square right in the centre of town.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel on a nice square and very close to several good restaurants. Competent staff and a nice room. Hotel was nicely appointed in the common areas as well as in the rooms. Staff provided a good map of Marsala, which was handy.
Cons: Parking is a potential concern. As far as we could find out, you must park outside the square in street parking, though they would let you pull into the square to drop off your bags. There was a wedding going on when we arrived, and legitimate free street parking was thin on the ground. We first parked in a pay-for spot on the street, but could not figure out how or where to pay. We finally found a spot about a half block from the entrance to the square the hotel was on as the wedding attendees began leaving. This might or might not normally be an issue.
6,0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was ok - just average. The location was excellent. Walking from there to restaurants was easy. There was free parking.
Cons: Staff was not very helpful. The bed was the worst of our trip so far.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Elegant. Pretty garden. Quiet. Super efficient staff. Big range on offer for breakfast. Drove right up to door and staff parked car and returned it at no extra cost.
Cons: Not enough drawer space for 2 people's clothing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great.
Cons: Very busy neighborhood and challenging to park over the weekend.
5,0 Okay
Pros: It was clean. Breakfast is good.
Cons: The room is not the one in the pictures, not even closer. It's important you know that. You don't get even a welcome from the staff, it was the less quality service we got from our 2 weeks in sicily. We decided to leave after the first night, they didn't even ask why, although they made sure we paid the full amount for the 3 nights, claiming they couldn't do differently. We also got a problem with the AC at 2am but it got "solved".

Pros: Arcangelo was a very good host, waited for us, helped us to order pizza late in the evening, recommended us places to see în Sicily and even made us some sandwiches to take away.

Pros: Everything was perfect. The bungalow was clean, cozy perfectly organized. The shower was amazing and the little patio outside was just the cherry on top. The location is immersed in flowers, trees and the scenery really complements the stay with positive vibes. The pool caters to all needs with a portion for smaller kids and a jumping block for the older ones.
Cons: I liked it all, if I could add a small suggestion would be to add an hanger for the wet swimsuits to dry after a pool day.

Overview Reviews
The Baglio Oneto of the Princes of San Lorenzo is a Luxury Wine Resort born from an ancient noble residence from the 1700’s. The fabulous 5 Star Resort is located in Marsala on a hill 150mt above sea level and only 8 Km from the beach. Its dominating position allows a spectacular view of the sea, the Egadi Islands and the Natural Reserve of the Stagnone, up to Mount Erice on one side and Capo Boeo the extreme western tip of Sicily on the other. The Hotel is managed by the descendants of the Oneto family, the Resort is a true luxury Boutique Hotel, receives its guests with kindness, cordiality and attention to detail, so that they can enjoy a unique welcome, what the owners identify as the "Noble art of hospitality". A Perfect destination for those looking for a first-class eno-gastronomic experience thanks to the cuisine of the "La Calandra" restaurant and the historic "aging cellar" for tasting the wine and extra virgin olive oil produced. The term "baglio" derives from Arabic and means "Fortified House". Baglio Oneto is protected by high walls and was founded in 1700’s to produce wine, oil and fresh produce. Even today, under the careful management of the family 8 types of wine, including the famous Marsala DOC meditation wine and extra virgin olive oil are produced. The aromatic herbs produced inside the baglio give the dishes in the restaurant the ancient flavors of the Sicilian tradition. Today the Resort consists of 49 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a panoramic swimming pool with a view of the sea and the islands. Specialized staff will accompany guests to their reserved room. The Classic Room category overlooking the Marsala countryside, Superior with sea and pool view, Deluxe with sea view and a private lounge, Family Room. All finely furnished in the traditionial and typical Sicilian materials (wood, wrought iron and ceramics), are equipped with all comforts and the most innovative home automation (Samsung Smart TV, Dorelan Memory Foam Mattresses etc). All rooms have a balcony or patio, the floors are tiled, the corridors leading to the rooms have a carpet to avoid any noise. Those who want to immerse themselves in history can stay in the Suite built in the ancient tower of 1700, characterized by terracotta floors, tuff walls, exposed wooden beams, wrought iron bed and 3 immense windows where you can enjoy the sea landscape and of the Egadi islands. You can also enjoy the beautiful terrace above the tower with 2 chaise longues, the only point from which you can enjoy the 360 ° landscape. The ancient tower is equipped with individual air conditioning, a flat-screen Sat TV, a Memory Foam mattress from the famous Dorelan, and features a chromotherapy shower. Not only comfort and hospitality, but also gourmet cuisine at the "La Calandra" restaurant with Italian and typical Sicilian dishes, combined with the best Italian wines and those produced by Baglio Oneto of the Princes of San Lorenzo. The wine tasting tour is Strongly recommended. Tasting of wines, oil and typical products paired at the historic refining cellar of the estate. Also discover in detail all the history and characteristics of the baglio, the Oneto family, Marsala wine and of this wonderful territory. In the late afternoon the bar offers a splendid sunset on the Pool terrace, giving you to enjoy the colors of Sicily. In a dedicated area, far from the rooms and the swimming pool, there are several meeting and congress rooms from 10 to 400 seats, also ideal for hosting congresses, events and weddings (available official civil ceremony). The Resort's location is very convenient to discover a rich and generous land like Sicily: 8 Km from Trapani-Birgi Airport, 97 Km from Palermo Airport 6 Km from the beach, from the pier to Mozia, from the famous salt pans and windmills, kitesurf hot spots 10 Km from the city of Marsala ( Nave Punica Museum and Archeological Park, San Giovanni Church and Grotta della Sibilla, Arazzi Museum, Chiesa Madre (Barocca), Bastione della villa Cavallotti, Fish Market, waterfront, Porta Garibaldi, Cassaro and via Roma for shopping, winery: Florio/ Pellegrino/ Donnafugata. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are exceptionally friendly and highly professional.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast included Awesome staff Beautiful property Delicious dinners Very beautiful
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfasts good
Cons: - dinners might have had more variety And the pool opening times are not good - if you want a swim before breakfast you are going to be pushed. And there is a rather nanny-ish requirement to have a pool attendant.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon in the tower room which was incredible! It was fully worth the extra, with amazing views on the top story, comfortable bed and great modern shower. The rest of the resort was lovely, great views from the pool and outdoor restaurant area was really pretty.
Cons: The restaurant is a little pricey but not too bad for an evening meal and we were happy with the quality. The main downside for us was the cost of spirits was a little high and there was no separate lunch menu so you had to order from the same menu as the evening which was big portions and expensive for a lunch snack! It wouldn’t be an issue but it is a short drive from Marsala so not easy to get anything from elsewhere if you’re having a day by the pool.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view from the property was beautiful, and loved the history of the building.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Cozy Italian style decorated room with a small balcony facing the pool & surroundings, beautiful sunsets, very good breakfast in a beautiful garden, nice & funny 1-day boat trip recommeded by the friendly staff
Cons: No restaurants close to the hotel
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pool. Quiet room. Friendly reception. Wine tasting overpriced compared to local competitors producing Marsala. No discount on tastings for hotel residents which would have been appreciated. Restaurant overpriced and yet not Michelin starred. Recommend you eat brilliantly and locally in Marsala for better value and more variety.
Cons: Lack of reasonably priced and better value wine tasting at the hotel for residents. Beer and cocktails massively overpriced.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very Beautiful Resort with a great view. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Good Restaurant. Beautiful garden. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Cons: Actually just details, like room cleaning could be better (used glasses havent been replaced). Pool towels should be replaced every day. No big things but unfortunately you expect such things from a 5*. Dinner is very good but has its price (expect 100€ for 2). You need a car.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Calm setting, Professional, smiling, friendly staff ( reception, roomcleaning, restaurant) High quality services ( help with tours around) The breakfast in the morning (outside, in the courtyard, choice & completeness of excellent products, quickly served, with a smile) Swimming Pool, architectural concept,
Cons: Can’t really think of something I did not like

Pros: Giovanni was a great host who welcomed us warmly into his home. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and had a wonderful panoramic view of the sea. Parking was on-site and secure. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Giovanni also gave us good recommendations for places to visit on our onward journey. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Cons: Nothing! We enjoyed our stay very much!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and confortable with a terrace from where you can enjoy a great view (above all at sun-set). We loved to have the possibility to have dinner there, and what a dinner: superb home-made food! A very friendly atmosphere, just like at home: we loved it! There is a nice garden, where you can relax if you don't kite-surf. By the way if you do, the kite-surf school next door is excellent.
Cons: Unfortunately Giovanni just rent the place, and the owner does not co-operate with him refusing to refurbish the place, for this reason the first impression might not be the best, but believe me both Giovanni (who runs the B&B) and Maria and Giovanni (who run the home-restaurant with the help of their 2 daughters) will make your stay unforgettable! I feel sorry for Giovanni, because the owner doesn't want to sell him the place. I'm sure he would make it a lot better!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a fantastic place full of extremely kind and helpful people. The room was clean and comfortable. The window view was breathtaking. Delicious food in the restaurant on the ground floor. Highly recommended
7,5 Good
Pros: The location right on the sea in a nature reserve and the food at the home restaurant on site(Maria and Giovanni’s place) were absolute highlights. The property itself was a bit run-down. Lots of things inside and out could do with a fresh coat of paint and a good cleaning. However,if you like us, are not a fancy person, you will find this hotel enjoyable—especially at sunset time.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, the garden is really big and the rooms offer sea view and the service is outstanding. I strongly recommend this place, especially for kitesurfers - you can clear your gear after a session and find a place to dry your stuff. It's also near the kite spot.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a mini paradise: Marvelous people, astonishing views, great location and on top you get a family restaurant with the best food in Sicily. Everything is nearby and there are plenty of activities available. 100% a must go. We will be back soon.
Cons: Nothing, everything was excellent.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The owner was friendly and kind.breakfast great.
Cons: I didn't like going through his office to get to our room

7,5 Good
Pros: Staff were most helpful.
Cons: Must admit had not appreciated the 'restricted access' the location of the hotel it provedto be. We have travelled around Siciliy with our hire car and had very little problems, until now. We must have driven x3 times around the restricted area, following the signs to the hotel as well as using GPS and still struggled. We called in the end and were guided in to where we needed to be by a very helpful member of the team and managed to leave the car and walk about 60 yards, and got the hotel eventually. Hotel was lovely when we did get there!!
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The staff were brilliant, very professional, friendly and helpful. It is a central location so you have all the benefits too if being in the middle of town.
Cons: I cannot give one thing I didn’t like
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely kind and very professional. Whenever I had questions they were able to help me and they were very polite as well. It felt nice to come back to the room and be welcomed there.
Cons: I did not have a single bad experience with the staff here. One night people were being loud outside but the windows are pretty good at keeping the sound out. My biggest complaint is that I got a free chocolate from the desk thinking it was mint chocolate when it was, in fact, not mint chocolate.
9,6 Excellent

Pros: Friendly host.
Cons: You can’t find anybody before 4 o’clock. They even did not open the door. Don’t go if you don’t know Italian language as there is nobody you can contact in English. (Not even 1 word) Sheets are not very clean.

Cons: It is difficult to find the property and the host cannot speak English.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts and fresh home cooked cake at breakfast.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Family owned place, we felt like at home. Staff very kind and helpful.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This was a simple, straightforward, and very good value place to say with very kind and welcoming hosts Nino and Nuca. It was easy to find parking nearby and then only a very short walk from the main gate of the town to the B&B. The AC worked well. The breakfast was almost entirely home-made, not just in the cooking but in the growing of produce with most of the ingredients coming from Nina and Nuca's own land, even down to the delicious fruit tarts. You can eat inside, or outside in the sweet little courtyard of the property. Just off the main street of this small town centre it was very well-placed for our stopover.
Cons: You could argue that the bathroom was in need a bit of an overhaul, and the concertina sliding doors were a bit of a faff, but in reality it was clean and everything worked, and there was a separate wash hand to the main bathroom which is always handy.

Cons: Location is awful..GPS will not pick up this resort and we had to phone and have someone come lead us to the property....Bathroom is so small that anyone over say, 95kgs and 180cm would have trouble getting wet. The Water flow and pressure is terrible. Not enough power points. Room kinda small.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel doesn't have a restaurant on site but they can order a 3 course meal from a local restaurant that you eat in the hotel breakfast area with a bar.starter/main/fruit. I had the fish set menu and it was delicious. The hotel wine was really good too. It was a very relaxing evening after I'd driven from Catania. The lady on reception was really helpfu, there is loads of information and help about things to do in the area and if you want to visit Mozia then buy the ticket from reception for the lagoon cruise. They will either drop you off on the island or put you on the ferry if the cruise starts later (they did with me because I went early and the cruise didn't start till lunchtime and then the ferryman arranged for me to be picked up by the cruise boat)
Cons: I cannot find fault.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice view from the terrace - try to be there at a sundown!!! Nice staff and a good breakfast with some continental influence. Don't go to the Mamma Caura restaurant at the salines but try the one next to the hotel first. You can get some discount for boat rides to Mozia e.g. if you book them at the hotel.
Cons: Our room's furniture and our bath room is a bit old.

7,9 Good
Pros: Pool
Cons: Smell from harbour area
4,6 Okay
Pros: very nice staff. Very helpful and do their best to answer your questions.
Cons: The best way to describe this hotel is to say that is was probably a really great hotel 10-15 years ago. It’s basically in need of much TLC. It’s now run down and nowhere near how it comes off in pictures. The problem is that it’s still quite expensive and therefore provides close to zero value for money. Not enough hot water so if you shower late in the evening (after most other guests) you’re going to shower in cold water. Beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Not much money spent on mattresses, which just shows they’re not incredibly concerned with their guests comfort. Pool area is also run down - but nice. I feel as though the owners have “made their money” and no longer care too much about the place in general.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Really nice looking classic hotel, impressive lobby and main areas, nice large and clean pool. Good location, 15 minutes walk from old city center and 3 minutes from the marina. Clean rooms and super helpful staff. Both ladies were amazing in booking us wine tasting, horse riding, pretty much everything. Thanks!
Cons: The amenities are a bit deserted, not working pool bar (and I think they charge for towels - not that anyone asked if I want one) Jacuzzi could be nice but you’re not tempted at all to use it looking at a sign at checkin. Given 5 stars (even 4) I would expect a better variety like fresh eggs, pancakes for breakfast. Pastries and coffee were nice thou. Oh, and the bottle of water in the room. C’mon, it’s there even in a holiday inn.
7,0 Good
Pros: Food wasn’t great the eggs were not cooked properly on any of the days I ordered the staff were very friendly and did their best
Cons: No open bar in the hotel no athmosphere no encouragement to meet other tourists had to leave the hotel to get a drink and to find other people to talk to the hotel was very quiet
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A decent breakfast buffet compared to most in Italian hotels at this price range.
Cons: Rooms smelled a bit stuffy....
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast had really good selection, fresh coffee, eggs were made by your choice, plenty of dessert options, fresh vegetables. Friendly staff which had suggestions for sightseeing, parking and what would be good to choose. Calm pool area and free chairs. I love the style of the hotel!
Cons: Room was too small for two persons in the longer stay. No place to put two luggage and maybe a hint of paint to the wall would upgrade the appearance. I would have ordered drinks to the pool if somebody would have been there to ask.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great stay but don`t expect a 5 star hotel because it`s not. It`s might been at some point in the past but it`s a refurbish now. Still good value for money as the prices are not 5 star either
Cons: expensive mini bar
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff pool
Cons: No bar Drink from reception 8 euros for small bottle of beer!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very central to everything and easy to find..Hotel was beautiful
Cons: Nil
4,6 Okay
Pros: Walking distance 4 km to main Centre. Good restaurants in main center.
Cons: It’s a 2 Star at its best!! No WiFi in our room or building we had to go to main lobby in another building for WiFi. The WiFi was very slow. The washrooms were original built 40-50 yrs old no temperature control in the shower The room hasn’t been updated. Smelled musty in the hot weather.
7,7 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff. The hotel is very quiet!! It has a very nice pool and grounds. The hotel is off the beaten path, so you either need a car or have to take a taxi into town if you don't want to walk the 2 kilometers through not great parts of town.
Cons: We were told we'd have a garden view room, but instead we had a view of ugly roofs.
7,0 Good
Pros: Excellent location.Super breakfast with abundance of Sicilian delicacies.Clean rooms.Ample free parking.Efficient staff.
5,3 Okay
Pros: Great staff and service
Cons: No toileteries in bathroom, typical italian provincial hotel, plumbing dodgy, towel rail not secure. All things that should not be an issue in a 5 star hotel
6,0 Good
Cons: Location is disappointing. Hotel was empty so service was very basic.
5,3 Okay
Pros: staff were very helpful and friendly
Cons: some of the advertised facilities weren't open / available only available July / August. Breakfast selection needs improving. difficult to get a drink by the pool. unable to get lunch
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and excellent facilities
Cons: June is obviously the low season as the hotel did not have many occupants
7,6 Good
Pros: While we were at the New Palace Hotel, the heater wasn't working. The staff went into quick action and took care of us immediately. They tried to service and when it wasn't able to be prepared, the staff took care of moving us to another room. Sevice of staff-OUTSTANDING!
Cons:
6,0 Good
Pros: hotel itself is really nice and classic
Cons: the city it was in - no nice surroundings
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons: There was no footpath directly outside the hotel for a few hundred meters on way into the town of Marsala.
7,2 Good
Pros: The atmosphere in the building and the very nice and professional people that worked there.
Cons: No fitness room.Taxi too expensive to and from Trapani airport.Too expensive by 30%.
