Overview

On a quiet street in the historic centre of Marsala, the Best Western Hotel Stella D'Italia, Marsala, Italy, is an elegant hotel in a restored 19th-century building, with comfortable, elegant rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a prime location facing the cathedral, a short walk from the main square. The Old Town's churches, palaces, and piazzas sit right outside, and the seafront and salt pans are a short distance away. It makes a charming base for exploring western Sicily. Marsala is a sunny old wine town on the western tip of Sicily, famous for the sweet fortified wine that bears its name. Baroque churches and palaces line the streets of the walled historic centre, while the shallow Stagnone Lagoon glitters with windmills and white salt pans just to the north. Small boats cross to the ancient Phoenician island of Mozia offshore. Sandy beaches and ancient Greek ruins spread along the nearby coast. - CIR: 19081011A201400, CIN: IT081011A1JGJE5VN5
