Cons: We were really annoyed by the total lack of interest. After traveling in Sulawesi we internet accès is scarce we took this hotel to spend the afternoon before a late night plane in order to organise the rest of our trip and do the necessary online task that is needed today. We took for granted that a high end Makassar hotel would be the right place for that. But as it turns out it was the absolute worst internet connection we had in all of Sulawesi! Apart from that our room what smelly and the corridor even more so.

Cons: Been staying here for the last 15 years, but will be the last time. The bar no longer sells beer (so is not really a bar) meaning had 15 minute walk to another hotel. Will be staying there next time! Westerners need beer on a hot day!

Pros: Excellent breakfast with wide choice. Attentive well trained staff. A bit busy before 8am as many local business people resident. Lovely lobby area with sofas for relaxation. We paid extra for beach view room which was superb to watch the sunset each night. The hotel has a great location at the south end of Losari beach.

Cons: The pool is on the ground floor, is irregularly shaped and too small for any decent swim workout. It is also very much a 'goldfish bowl' for other residents to watch swimmers. Unfortunately Makassar does not have a good selection of tourist hotels with good sized swimming pools.

Pros: All i love when my room was free upgraded from superior to deluxe with sea view room. It was really nice experience staying at Aryaduta Hotel Makassar.ALl the staffs were so friendly.

Cons: I was given a room in a floor that is currently being renovated. Thus, the room is very old and the fan in the bathroom is not working so it is quite smelly.

Pros: Great location just on Losari main street. Nice big rooms, bath tub and spacious lobby. Staff welcoming and helpful.

Cons: No alcohol is served at all outlets, and for a large hotel chain, this is disappointing

Pros: The staff are friendly. Since I am a foreigner in Makassar, several staff offered their hospitality to drive me to my destinations. In contrast with waiters/waitress in several restaurant who lack of hospitality manners, Santika's staff have shown their capability to serve a customer. Well done!

Pros: Good staff and hospitality. Food was good. Room clean and quite. If you stay here, it feels like home. This hotel also near to Losari Beach and also Somba Opu Street (where you can buy traditional food and souvenir from Makassar)

Lift access was easy as it didnt need a card to going up, strategic location to somba opu street, losari beach, and some great culinary spots. By far, this is the best family hotel around central makassar, will definitely back again

Pros: The hotel location is good...its a just walking distance to Pantai Losari, Local Food Stall, Souvenir Shop, Convinience Store and others..The front desk staff is attentive and helpful.

Cons: It is better if they can improve the varieties of breakfast selection. Get a real juice instead of cordial drinks. Water pressure for shower is bad. Fix the air-conditioner at the lobby area it is warm and with no fresh air flow, guest with fell not comfortable while waiting in the lobby.

Pros: Breakfast standard is very down. No gym, no sauna, no window in room even for smokers. When asked about the basic gym services, staff answer it's under maintenance from past 1 month but during booking staff confirm, they have good gym, sauna and smoking room.

Pros: I did like the view, it was beautiful. And also the bed was big and comfy, the AC also so cold even it was 18 degree. The sofa's very comfy too.

Cons: The shower, in the morning about 9am. I wanted to take shower and then suddenly the water off. So I had to wait long time, and got water from sink by mug if not I can't take shower. So please make sure water always be ready to use. It was horrible situation. I'm totally disappointed with the shower water.

Pros: The best part of this hotel was The lovely ladies at reception.... and the incredibly cold air conditioner! The room felt like a meat freezer after about 40 minutes! Other than that everything else was a major disappointment.....

Cons: It was dirty, everything was dirty! I paid more money for the sweet so that I could take a bath in the bathtub however it was so dirty that I decided it was not worth the effort. The bed was uncomfortable, the linens, the carpet, the furniture, the towels... all of it is old, stained, and not pleasant.... I would never stay here again. Never.

Pros: Absolutely original by its kitschy decor; I loved every bit of my too short stay. A fresh haven in the bustling city of Malassar with a very friendly staff, willing to help, Very clean and comfortable, really non-smoking, with rooms giving the feeling to live princess-like. And, last but not least : affordable. The room service is excellent, and convenient. Only maybe it would be worth considering to improve a bit the quality of food; which I found only average, not up the standard of the hotel. Anyway, very agreable. I would definetely come back here if I have to stay again in Makassar. A litte tips for means of transporation in town and to go to/from the airport : use private taxi related to the very popular application "Grab".. It is much more safe than the exotic "becaks" and really worth to escape the pollution. You also can use the toll way to/from the airport. It should take then about 30 mns between the center and the airport. Otherwise, count really 2 long hours !!! The damri bus that link the city center and airport does not use the toll and it takes ages to reach your destination. If you need help to install the Grab application, or need info on how it works, ask at the hotel's reception; they'll surely help.
