Pros: The bed was comfy, the shower and toilet were great.
Cons: The only problem we struck was that when we ordered takeaway for tea, there were no plates, knives, forks etc in the room. We ate with our fingers but it could have been a real problem.

Pros: This visit was the result of my brother's emergency hospitalisation. The manager, Naomi, could not have been more helpful, taking my luggage to put in my room later as I had a taxi waiting to go straight to the hospital. After a long day, she re-opened the office so I could collect my breakfast supplies - a great idea so I could get away quickly in the morning. Her recommendation of the nearby Burb Bistro was perfect for dinner each night too.

Pros: WOW, it’s the only way to express my stay. After booking in I was asked if I would like to go shopping? Yes I was a little confused but an area had been set aside for each guest to select their own continental breakfast and the selection was incredible. Not only that but they also have an agreement with the local bowling club that when you show your room key you get members rates. I’ve got to say my visit was most enjoyable.

Cons: We booked the accommodation specifically for the facilities that were advertised which the room didn’t have. No full sized fridge, No toaster, the room had cups for tea etc. but not one teaspoon. Advertised with movie channels but a few didn’t work because of the antenna cable. Advertised with BBQ Facilities, bought stuff to cook but went to waste. Advised all of this as soon as we looked at the room but the staff were rude and basically didn’t care and wouldn’t offer any solutions let alone an apology. At the property they also advertised live music and food on the Deck for Sunday’s and this was not the case.

Cons: Room was very worn. The air conditioner was leaking fluid down the wall. Blinds are curtains were broken so sun came pouring in as soon as it was up. Water pipes must be exposed to the sun as the water from the cold tap was so hot! Pool was cloudy and in full sun. We went to go for a swim but decided against it, it looked like the chemicals were not right. The bistro said it was open for dinner, but it was definitely closed when we rolled up within opening hours...

Pros: staff are always super friendly and accommodating. room is always ready and very clean when we check in. we are often upgraded or allocated a good family friendly room without asking. always our first choice of accommodation when staying in Mackay as location is fantastic and price is great.

Pros: Location was ideal for what I had to do in Mackay. The room was comfortable and clean. The receptionist was very pleasant. Particularly suitable location for those who wish to travel to Mackay to buy a motor vehicle or have one serviced.
Cons: Ran out of sugar sachets. Tea bags, coffee and milk supply all o.k.
