10,0 Excellent
Pros: I like the oxygen lounge provided by the hotel. I also like the quality of the service provided by the staffs.
Cons: There is nothing that I didn't like.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms and really good restaurant buffet. Oxygen lounge was a good plus.
Cons: AC didn’t work well in either of our rooms. One was freezing and the other was always warm, both regardless of temp setting.
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel is very nice. We had a room with a view on the Potala palace and the room was really good. The lunch buffet has wide selection, good quality and reasonable price. Staff is kind and polite, as expected from this hotel level and the English level is good enough
Cons: This is valid for all Shangri-La hotel: they must start to control better their customers. It is not possible to have noisy, louder and uneducated people around. People in pajamas (or bathrobe) and slippers on breakfast. Rude people for lunch and nobody from the staff that was able to say anything to them. If they want to be an international hotel, they must start to follow international rules for the good manners. Hotel service means also the control of the environment. Breakfast is good, but the selection of western style meal shall be improved (bread and pastry selection is very poor).
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Environment was good and staffs very friendly.
Cons: Cleaning service not to expectation. Even in my presence I noted too many shortcuts. Beddings were changed only on my forth nights and only upon my request. Stayed here 3 years ago and noted damaged access road to level 3 lobby remained unrepaired
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Almost nobody speak English even in Reception.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel that eased us into the high altitude. Fantastic design and top notch facilities. Very fulsome breakfast with lots of choice, both Chinese and Western. The service was excellent. We asked for several things and the staff were very accommodative: 1. Change of room as our original room was facing a brick wall 2. Changing our 100RMB notes into smaller notes
Cons: N/A
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It’s a wonderful hotel and I would definitely stay here again. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is big, convenient and very clean. Loved it here!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: As many hotels couldn't serve hongkongers and foreigners, shangrila is really a good choice with acceptable price, convenient location and comfortable environment.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location and the beautifully furnished rooms. Lovely comfy bed and great views of the Potala Palace. Plenty of relaxation areas and a lovely pool, spa and larger than average gym
Cons: Nothing

7,9 Good
Pros: The breakfast was buffet style and over all had a good selection. The front desk has limited English but very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: I'm not sure if this property is part of the International Sheraton chain or Sheraton in name only. As you walk down the corridor to your room, one side will have windows with ornamental iron. They haven't been cleaned in a LONG time. It gives the place a dingy appearance. The room price included breakfast which was nice and they have tried to include more western foods which I enjoyed. The staff in the dining area need help. They were often not present and really indifferent when they were. They do not understand the concept of customer friendly service. On the first visit there was no hot water for tea and the coffee pot was empty. I wanted to ask someone for help but no one ever appeared during the whole time I was eating.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A good establishment and no far from the old downtown. A quiet and comfortable stay. Well equipped facilities and concrete service. Help myself to meet the sunshine again.
Cons: Preparez sac à poubelle, s'il vous plaît.
6,7 Good
Pros: The room is very comfortable and clean. Which is the most important for me
Cons: All the public areas are average or below. Dirty carpets and unprofessional team
5,4 Okay
Pros: The bed is comfortable n sheets are clean in general.
Cons: I paid for a deluxe rm, but the room given was cold, damp n dark. The window view was a big piece of grey old wall. The furniture were old n used. Request for rm change, was downgraded with no compensation. The superior rm showerhead was spoiled n unable to station properly. The bathroom towels smelled of mutton oil. The front desk staff are not very friendly.
6,7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and humidifier in the room!
Cons: The smell of the cigarette in the elevator and hallway. Breakfast!
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was really good!
Cons: Staff was nice but didn’t speak English, the AC/Heat in my room never worked, couldn’t communicate with the staff to fix the problem. Room wasn’t very clean.
3,3 Mediocre
Cons: This is not what I would have expected of a Sheraton. Looks shabby both outside and inside, has no dining facilities, breakfast is poor for a European, and is in a neighbourhood with no facilities, away from the old town. We were given a very incorrect and misleading map at reception. Wi fi not good enough either. No English speaking staff. We were lucky we had a good guide and that I also speak some Mandarin. Otherwise we could not have communicated at all. Poor value for money
6,7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was OK, just staff could be much more efficient. First - nobody speaks English (or any other commonly speaken language), second - receptionist at least tries to help
Cons: If you go for a suite, you become it with a small kitchen. However there is only a kettle for water but no dishes or cutlery or any other kitchen tools. Fridge not working (not only in our room). Overall - quite old but still in a good shape. TV channels - 40 Chinese and 1 CGTN - Chinese channel English spoken, so you get a nice portion of communist propaganda there :-)
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, wide selection. The staff Justin has been very helpful !!!
5,4 Okay
Cons: It stated that the staff spoke English. We had a lot of difficulty with this. We were ill due to Altitude Sickness. Doctor couldn't speak English. Trying to order food was impossible. Staff didn't understand. We had to hire our own private translator.

Pros: The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was helpful. The breakfast buffet was really good.
7,5 Good
Pros: good breakfast and dinner buffet
Cons: The reception of the 4G signal for China Mobile was very bad for the rooms located on the ground floor of Building 6. The wifi signal was also not strong enough for normal use.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: There is no 4 G mobile phone signal ( China Mobile) on the ground floor of Building 6
5,4 Okay
Cons: The odor of cigarette smoke coming through Aircon system Ladies toilets in public area. Smells. Very dirty. Walls need cleaning and painting
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities of the room, the service, location and the high level of English in the staff.
Cons: Being vegetarian food was a major issue and they couldn't give us toast in room service.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really beautiful, spacious, and well located close to the center of Lhasa. The lobby has a beautiful view of the Potala Palace. The bedrooms are spacious, elegant and convenient if you are looking for relax. The breakfast is excellent.
Cons: The staff barely speaks English. Regarding the breakfast room, there should be more isolated tables for couples and no so many group tables, as expected in a 5-star hotel. The swimming pool and spa was closed... (too bad).
7,5 Good
Pros: Spacious rooms in close proximity to the Barkhor. Very comfortable after 10 days of low quality hotels. Great bathtubs and received an upgrade to a larger room.
Cons: Cleanliness or food is not on par with Western 5* hotels. Our bathroom floor had many footprints of several types of boots during our 2 night stay and did not get cleaned. English is not well spoken by restaurant staff, when speaking English, the staff try to avoid you, except for Lisa, excellent service from her! Western food is not very good, Chinese food is tasty but all in the buffet is cold. Also, no luggage storage for valuables after checkout, we were advised to take our laptops and other valuables since they could not ensure safety in luggage storage, so had to drag around our backpacks to do a last round of the Barkhor. No turndown service and swimming pool and spa are still in maintenance. It would be courteous to inform guests of this when booking.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, clean, beautiful Tibetan decoration,
Cons: Food and breakfast,
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The room service could be better, they keep missing our orders
Cons: room service

Pros: The staff is friendly and cooperative with good English. It's convenient location within the old city. The excellent Tibetan restaurant.
Cons: The minimal breakfast. The accessories and functionality of the bathroom and shower. The cleanliness of the floor and the bathroom
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It’s just wonderful! So god to be there!! Position is just perfect Staff great
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the city center and near Jokhang Temple, but the car cannot access to the hotel entrance, require 1-2 minute walk. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Great experience and stay in the Tibetan/Nepal style hostel.
3,3 Mediocre
Cons: This place has a nice facade but that's about it. It lacks basic facility for a reasonable living condition in the hot summer days - no AC, no fans, the windows are useless because there are no screens behind them so if you open them all bugs come in, and to keep the blinds open means you'd have no privacy in this narrow and crowded alley. I've been backpacking to more than 30 countries and it's not like I'm expecting luxury hotel, but with the price they are charging I'm expecting at least livable condition (when I book it the most luxurious St Regis and Shangri La cost only $10-$20 more). Huge disappointment to the point they could be sued if they were in US! In my 12-yr traveling it's the first time we have to leave and change hotel after check in. When complaining to hotel manager he said they never said they have AC and fans, etc. So you don't think non-disclosure of such important facts is sketchy practice? The weather in Lhasa now is not the same as the old days. They lie to you about no other hotels offer AC. They said I can write whatever review I like and they'll deal with me after. Very rude and malicious customer service! They completely ignore the fact that we rushed to hospital for altitude sickness right after check in, came back and found out it's DANGEROUS for us (and anyone) not to be able to rest in this altitude. For your own safety please find somewhere else to stay where hotel is at least transparent and honest about what they have and offer you at least something to deal with the heat. Do not be fooled by the pretty facade, the innocent Tibetans working there and location - you can get around Lhasa using taxi for $2-$3 (use Didi app). This hotel is just a tourist trap for foreigners and run by people without a heart. Be careful and be ware!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful traditional Tibetan hotel with beautiful decor and great staff who spoke good English. Love the colors and style of Tibetan architecture. Great location within walking distance to Potala Palace and Bakhor Street. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended, especially if you would like to support the the true local Tibetans (it is not Chinese owned like many hotels in Lhasa)!
Cons: If you come to Lhasa in November, it will be cold so please don’t expect good insulation as hotel is old. However, this was not a problem for us as they provided a heater and warm blankets so we were toasty and had no issues. Overall the weather is dry so bring lotion with sunscreen and drink lots of water to avoid altitude sickness.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice decoration with local characteristics
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was basic but friendly. The small area was perfect for making friends over the meal and sharing experiences with each other. Good value.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast
Cons: Bed could be more comfortable and shower took a while to get hot.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the authentic Tibetan rooms and restaurant. Friendly, attentive staff. Quiet and yet in the middle of the old quarter. Attractive, nicely decorated rooms. Generous heating and warm beds.
7,9 Good
Pros: The location couldn't be better - right in old town and only a stroll to shops and the loop around the temple. The restaurant is terrific (best fries I've ever eaten, great yak burger, good Indian food). The courtyard and roof top are really nice to hang out with family, play cards, or just take in the sights. The staff are wonderful. The price is amazing.
Cons: Our room was above the restaurant and we got cooking smells at night. The bathroom was done in exterior tiles and mortar which grips all dirt and hair. Everything else was clean. The beds are extremely hard (as are most beds in Asia - just not to Western taste). With our altitude sickness we were tired, grumpy, and in the room more than expected and for us we needed more of an 'oasis' than an 'experience'. 1-2 days would have been no problem. All 4 nights was too much.
