Abad San Antonio - León - Building

This hotel has facilities measuring 753 square feet (70 square meters), including conference space. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room & bathroom is clean and large. The bed is comfortable. The hotel facilities is new and the reception staff is friendly who told me where to park the car (underground). For the price I paid, definitely a good value of money
Cons: This hote is located in the outskirts of the city, just next to a hospital. It is perfect if you come by a car. Otherwise it is inconvenient to go downtown.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good location with buses into town. Entrance to Hotel a bit awkward to find - head for the Hospital, which is across the road. Great info from reception staff. Rooms rather quirky: beds very comfortable; We were hungry and wanted to see the old town, eat and get back to bed early, so caught the bus around 5pm. We got into town much too early to eat. After a stroll round the interesting buildings and streets in the old town we spent 30 minutes looking for a nice restaurant, but nothing opens until 8pm or so, when town starts to get busy. We finally had to settle for a fast food type place that served odd "tapas??" dishes. Hotel breakfast is basic continental style - cold, self service buffet @ 9 euros , but that does allow you to make a filled roll for later in the day......
Cons: Several "style" aspects not well designed and flooring looks as if it's had a lot of wear, despite being under 2 years old. Hotel is laid out horizontally above a huge, single level car park, so long walks to and from rooms. Car parking process tortuous. The food in the "Las Tapas" restaurant in town, despite huge portions. The ghastly toilets in that restaurant and the nearby Noria bar, where we waited to see what food we could enjoy at 7:30pm on a Sunday.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in terms of rooms and comfort, very nice staff
Cons: It’s located next to a busy hospital and the views from the rooms is poor. Canteen/restaurant did not have appealing food on display
8,0 Excellent
Pros: All good!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated next to a large hospital, about 4km from the historical centre. At less than €60 per night, it was a great deal. The large, modern, spacious (wheelchair accessible) rooms were very comfortable. We particularly valued the secure underground parking for our motorcycles. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was somewhat disappointing, as the eggs and other 'hot' food items were cold.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: A nice hotel, clean, modern and spacious rooms.
Cons: A little too sterile for my liking. But this is subjective so others might not feel the same. I didn’t like the motorcycle parking as it was a public car park. Something I’m not comfortable with but there were no issues so perhaps it is always safe there.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and well equipped. Although it is out of town the bus service was excellent.
Cons: The food at the cafe was very basic.
Hotel Sercotel Alfonso V - León - Building
3
8,6 Excellent (2 569 reviews)
R1 411+
Overview Reviews
The Sercotel Alfonso V Hotel is an excellent 4 star hotel located in the center of León. The hotel in Leon has 62 elegantly decorated single, double and suite rooms with free Wi-Fi Internet service. The bathroom is perfectly equipped and the air conditioning per stay is self-regulating.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: There are some good things (location, breakfast) but that can not compensate the unfriendly behaviour at the reception.
Cons: Hot room, bad aircon, silly parking, sliding door to bathroom did not slide. To enter the hotel you have to navigate seven steps up with your luggage to get to the reception area. This is in full view of of two empoyees behind the reception who have mastered the art of not seeing you. There are no other guests in the area, so it is really very hard not to notice two people entering and struggeling up the stairs. After i put my bag at the reception, i go back to help my wife who is halfway the stairs. Seeing my disturbed face, the man behind the reception disappears in 0.1 second. So i tell the lady behind the desk that this a disappointing way to start our stay. And i ask her to thank her coworker for his help as soon as he comes back. Sarcasm sometimes helps, but not here. She explains that they were busy and hadn’t noticed us. LOL. The rest of our stay we received the silent treatment. Amazing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Unprepossessing from the outside but beautiful inside
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything was perfect: location, staff, the room...
7,0 Good
Cons: There are no English channels or subtitles in English on movies
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Cleaness, nothing else!
Cons: Bathroom: old shower in bath tap. The water didn’t run well so it splashed all over floor. Bathroom and toilet definitely needs updating. Parking: it was the worst parking I have ever used!!!!!Please refrain from using it. It is not worth the 4-5 euros less than the public parking next to the hotel. If you have a big car, you will not be warned about how narrow it is, not only the access but the parking itself. We couldn’t possibly get our car out as another big car parked in front so we were completely locked out. In order to get the car away, it required maneuvering of 1 mm from the car next to us and the pilar. We knew it could be difficult to get it out but we could never imagine that on top of the terrible narrow runaway space, another car would park at the front and much far outside the limiting yellow mark. When asked for help at reception, they were of course available to help us out to get it out, after we tried a long time and crashed our side mirror!!!! We didn’t feel they showed any empathy about the parking space they “sold out”, like if it were our problem. This is not an exaggeration, the parking they sell it is an absolute trap and a cheat!!!! It can cost you much more than 14e! Because of this, and for the lack of empathy and responsibility of extra charging for an inadequate service, I would never recommend this hotel.

5,5 Okay
Pros: Staff were fine location is good ....only 5 to 10 minutes walk from bus or train station, The apartment is on the second floor of a block of flats...it has been modified and rooms will be different. The room allocated to us was average size ...basic furnishings but clean.
Cons: The bathroom was small...the shower powerful but the cabinet very small and not able to easily move in it. Breakfast was basic and very poor Only bread butter and jam available and this was laid out the night before. Also available was a very poor quality juice and coffee or tea which were fine.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is simple but very decent. It isn't posh but you get everything you need. Breakfast is simple but plentiful with very good coffee. I really liked the comfort of being able to use the kitchen, ironing board and the like without much hassle. I felt really homey there.

Pros: Very high value hotel!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great service from staff. Excellent breakfast. Best breakfast I have had in all my travels in Spanish hotels. Bed was fantastic. Quite comfortable. Did not want to get out of it.
Cons: For 16m, room seemed a little tight, but that is Europe.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was small but perfect for what we needed. They have a selection of pillows and if needed to ask for more toiletries. Realised I didn’t have hair conditioner and ask for it at reception and they provided some. There is parking on site.
Cons: The parking was a bit narrow but nothing that a few extra manoeuvres won’t fix

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is car parking on site with internal access. The rooms are large and everything is well catered for.
Cons: The beds are doubles but the rooms are large and could easily take a larger bed which would be more comfortable.
7,9 Good
Pros: Quite big rooms and big bath room. Parking in the building (at extracost 10€ per day). Located in the modern part of town just across the street from Corte Ingles. Very good option for a night or two if you don't want to stay in the crowded centre and are travelling by car.
Cons: Location is not special, within a 15min walk to Plaza Mayor. Extracosts for parking as everywhere in Spain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super comfy beds and great staff. Good location.
Cons: There is no restaurant in the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was Amazing and very helpful! Great breakfast, beds and showers!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Right next to El Corte Inglés. Great shopping. Close enough to city centre.
Cons: Gloomy breakfast area. Very modern but no personality. Choices on buffet too basic for such a fancy hotel. Eggs should be freshly made and you should have options on how you like it. NH Palacio de Burgos serves better breakfast.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Just be aware that there are two WiFi networks, a low speed one and a high speed one. The low speed one doesn't need a code but we found it to be way too slow and therefore almost useless. The high speed one requires a code but you just have to ask for one at reception, this wasn't explained to us at check in.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Superb location for Leon City Centre and very comfortable beds
Cons: Parking is underground so it would be useful to know this as part of the facilities as we had car with roof box and could not use it.

Pros: The location was brilliant - but that was all.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Situation is perfect, rooms are nice and cozy
Cons: Bathroom has not enough light. Breakfast was far from other NH hotels...not worth the cost.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location on the Plaza Mayor. We paid a few euros extra to have a room with a balcony overlooking the Plaza and the extra expense was well worth it. The view of the bustle of the Saturday market was most enjoyable. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was large with a powerful shower. The staff were very friendly and the price was good for such a quality venue. We paid about €70pn. We also paid extra for inclusive breakfast which was buffet style and with lots of options. If you ask the staff they will also prepare bacon and eggs for you. We didn't have an evening meal here but the menu looked good. Like Burgos and Salamanca, Leon is a terrific small city with a thriving nightlife and tapas culture and if you are visiting then I am very happy to recommend the NH as the hotel for your stay.
9,0 Excellent
Cons: there was some noise at night time from the pubs nearby, waken us up at 2-3am

Cons: Although it’s only a one star hotel it was fine but the bathroom is really tiny. I am very short and could reach out both walls with my hands when extending my arms. However, it has a good shelf to place all your belongings and hooks to hang the towels which you don’t always find in hotels of higher category. There’s no minibar. Cleanliness in general is ok but the silicone shower seals were disgusting as you can see in the picture and it’s a pity because it’s very cheap maintenance issue but greatly improves the perception in cleanliness. The closet is also very small and the only 2 shelves are occupied by blankets with no other place to put them.... The reception staff works also at the “cafeteria”, so sometimes you have to hunt them around and also to come back to the hotel at night you will have to get into through the cafeteria because they don’t answer even if you ring the bell ...

Pros: View waa stunning from my window of the cathedral , spa was well worth the extra 15 euros and the parking was also excellent
Cons: The shower head was the best as the wster only came out from the centre
7,7 Good
Pros: The very good location near castle, nice room.
Cons: The problem is to find right way to the hotel(our GPS was not good with it). My advice: to ask hotel to send you map with directions and explanation

Pros: Clean, safe, centrally located.
7,3 Good
Pros: stylish, clean rooms, friendly staff, perfectly located, best value for money; my favourite in the area!
7,7 Good
Pros: Great for a city break. I had a comfortable attic room with a view of the cathedral and button by the bed which you can press to open and close the window/blind. I also made use of the spa which was a real bonus after a strenuous day and worth the $10, Hotel very well located in the centre of Leon with several eating options nearby. The breakfast was as good as any served in a cafeteria in Spain, and excellent value at $3; I had freshly squeezed orange juice, cafe con leche and toasted croissant (croissant plancha) with marmalade. What more could you possibly want?
6,7 Good
Pros: Location is superb - very near the Cathedral, and San Isidoro is only a short distance away. Everything in the historic city centre (including many good bars and restaurants) is within easy reach, but the area immediately around the hotel is just off the main routes and is surprisingly quiet. Rooms are small but well-planned, and are furnished in a modern idiom. The very reasonable prices represent good value for money. Continental breakfast in the bar at 3 euros each is pretty good.
Cons: Nothing we disliked.
7,3 Good
Pros: A good place to stay, near the cathedral. Our floor (4th, I think) had windows on the roof - affording us views of Leon Cathedral. Very romantic.
Cons: Can't drive up to the door with the luggage .... which was a bit of a drag. I think this needs to be stressed in the booking confirmation (block letters/italics).

Pros: Rooftop bar. Large bath towels.
Cons: Only stayed one night. Nothing stands out as negative.
5,0 Okay
Pros: A good breakfast buffet with very good coffee. Good situation close to points of interest. The bed was comfy. Good desk for working. Good wifi.
Cons: Horrible cold bathroom with limited supplies. In a 4 star hotel I would at least expect some body milk and a shower cap. Dark corridors. The other guests were noisy talking at volume in the corridors in the evening and morning and there was only one door between bedroom and corridors. The room had no carpet and rugs so felt chilly. I felt that 94 euros was excessive for a hotel of this quality.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were a good size and clean,Breakfasts were very good.Location was very good for sightseeing in the historical centre of the town.
Cons: Lifts were a joke-trying to get to the top floor you had to go outside the hotel to a side enterance, and only 1 lift went to the garage.

Pros: We had the best time at Conde Luna: We got upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was huge, luxurious and comfy. Very nice staff!

Pros: The siZe of the room. Location.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location, onsite parking, good breakfast, comfortable bed in good sized room
Cons: It was tired in places and we had a room that hadn’t been refurbished but that doesn’t bother us as long as it’s clean. Unfortunately whilst taking a bath I noticed that around the plug and around the bath handles there was a lot of “muck”. Worse still, I noticed that on the floor around the base of the toilet (which in itself was clean) there was a strong yellow stain. I took a damp tissue to this at it was extremely dirty which probably means unhygienic ☹️. I think some bleach is required! I emailed photos and observations to the hotel that night but they didn’t make contact. On checking out I showed the receptionist my photos and she said she would make the management aware. As yet I have still had no contact which is disappointing.

7,9 Good
Pros: Very near the cathedral, friendly staff and good choice of food for breakfast.
Cons: A little bit noisy, the bed was hard but o.k. and the egg and bacon was cold.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, private, super hot shower, great staff, restaurant downstairs, within easy walk to everything.
Cons: No complaints at all.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: - there is parking in the hotel garage for 10 euros
Cons: - tiny-tiny room - not comfortable bed - no fresh air in the room - in addition to general impression we had 2 mishaps that really disappointed us: 1) we paid for the room 63 euro while it is actually 44 euro 2) we had a window overlooking inner courtyard and actually people could walk just next to our window so we basically didn't have a window at all, we just shut down the blinders
