Helpful staff, good atmosphere.
Smelled of marijuana
The location and ambiance. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Loved my stay.
Older building needed a few minor remodels, but overall wonderful vibe.
Great location, okay hotel
The location is great if you want to be downtown. I was in town for Life is Beautiful and this was the perfect spot to stay. The room was clean and everything was comfortable.
The common areas were a little dingy, the elevator sucks, the bathroom was small, and there were not enough outlets (and none near the bed - this seems like a no brainer for any hotel). The pictures are very flattering, but it didn't quite deliver on the expectations.
Just around the corner of Freemont Experience.
Resort fee of $22 per night
The resort fee listed on Kayak was $7.95. Oasis at Goldspike said they charge $20 and were unwilling to honor the fee I was charged. The lobby was set up poorly. But most importantly, the staff was horrible. I didn't stay because of the resort fee. There was an unauthorized charge of $50 on my credit card. When I contacted the front desk about it, not only did they not apologize, they became rude and belligerent with me. Don't stay here! Stay at the Villa Inn Motel instead. It's located on Las Vegas Blvd. extremely close to Fremont Street. Alex and the other staff are really nice and rates are very reasonable. No resort fee and the room was nice. Very quiet as well!
Cheap but not worth it
Room was updated and clean
Extremely loud until 4am, downstairs is a night club. Can't sleep unless you're blacked out drunk. Ear plugs pointless, floors and wall shake from the music. Nah.
The activities are good
The smell I could not take it and I did not stay the night I stayed elsewhere. The need to open the windows and seriously vent this place out
Cancelled my reservation without notification.
I had booked a room for me and my wife and our infant daughter a week before CES convention for normal rates. When I arrived I was told by reservation has been canceled because I didn’t show up. I had called a week prior inform them I’d be checking in late. When I arrived early in the morning, during a rainstorm I was told by a young woman with tattoos that my reservation canceled and that it wasn’t her problem. There I was in Las Vegas with my wife in my infant daughter with nowhere to go in a rainstorm. After four hours of searching we were able to get a room at the disgusting Hooters Hotel and Casino for $600 for one night, this room is horrible there is mold in the bathtub and I felt like I would’ve got an STD if I laid on the bed. Originally I would’ve paid $300 for my stay at the oasis, roughly 150 a night. $600 for one day, this room is horrible there is mold in the bathtub and I felt like I would’ve gotten the STD if I laid on the bed. Originally I would’ve paid $300 for my stay at the oasis, roughly 150 a night. On that weekend because of the convention the price of rooms shot up over double at all hotels. I truly believe my reservation was canceled so this hotel could make more money. Don’t stay at at a hotel that would put out a young family with an infant in the rain to make a few more dollars.
Super amazing place
Decor is extremely cute and modern along with the full adult playgroup with giant beer pong connect 4 and other games. Whole staff was very nice and helpful and the 24/7 restaurant next to the bar was really good
You get what you pay for
The pool was refreshing. The room was clean and hip and the shower was great. The bed was fine - not too hard. Great location if you're staying in downtown vegas and or wanna get into the Gold Strike without waiting in line.
Our air conditioner broke in the middle of the night. It was 120 degrees outside! They were swift about fixing it, but then it kept going on and off every 15 min the rest of the night and my husband and I could not sleep. The air conditioner drowned out the noise of the party at Gold Strike (blaring music til 4am) but without the air conditioner you could hear music and noise, and we weren't even that close to the bar! The pool could use more lounge chairs - I only counted 4. This was the cheapest place I could find on a Saturday night without being a total dive, so you get what you pay for I suppose.
Unbeknownst to us there was a "Skating Party" being hosted by the hotel. Despite not seeing anyone else in the entire hotel not at the party we were put in a room directly above the DJ. The music played until after 2:00 AM (which was 4:00 AM Dallas time). The only thing done to help was a couple of ear plugs that were entirely unsuccessful in drowning out the bass. The bed was uncomfortable and there was a smell of smoke in the room despite asking for a non-smoking room. It also took 20 min to check us in despite being the only people in the room trying to check in. Finally we were charged a service fee on top of what we had already paid through Kayak which meant the price reported was not the full price and we would not have stayed there knowing the room was going to be more like $70 for the night instead of $45.
