The view from our room was amazing showing down into the valley of the mountains
The location for ski in and ski out is exceptional! Exactly as they say, and the spa facilities were lovely, a little small for the number of people visiting the hotel but still nice.
The position of the hotel is great. The blue run down to the lifts is a bit steep and can get quite hairy during busy times. Our room was fantastic with a bay window and a view over the piste, lovely and warm with lots of radiators for drying coats/gloves etc. Food in the restaurant was fab, the restaurant manager in particular made us very welcome.
Nothing to not like!
Good location, great view from the bedroom. Staff very pleasant.
The bed was incredibly hard. Didn’t sleep well the entire time we stayed there. Staff didn’t turn up to clean our room until 4pm on the Sunday by which time we were back at the room. Went for a run in the gym they didn’t have any water facilities to drink in the gym. Could definitely do with a water fountain at least.
Breakfast was good and varied. It seemed to cater well for all diets. The restaurant manager Pierre was very helpful and accommodating and friendly. He was rushed off his feet most nights because the two other waiters couldn’t understsnd or speak a word of English and had to go and get Pierre every time diners asked for anything. Yet he maintained his pleasant demeanour at all times.
When we arrived there was nobody around to tell us if we were even I. The right place. Reception was closed and in darkness. The lift to the ski and boot room was broken for 3 days so people were clambering up and down stairs in their ski boots with ski’s and poles. The room cleaning seemed to happen on an ad hoc basis and we didn’t get clean towels for the entire week even though we asked for them. The dinner menu was limited and non existent for a vegan, despite being told prior to booking that vegan was possible and could be ordered st the time of dining. Not true! I was charged twice for tourist tax despite showing them that I had paid it at the time of booking. I asked at Reception for milk for the room for tea and coffee and was told “no”. We were given two tiny sachet’s of coffee for the entire week and despite asking, didn’t get replenished. So we purchased our own. Which is unacceptable when you’ve spend over £2000 for a week’s half board for 2 people. Surely it wouldn't hurt them to replenish coffee and milk every day.
