8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice layout for our quadruple room for two adults and two kids. Clean and modern bathroom.
Cons: A bit pricey but it’s ski holiday season
6,0 Good
Pros: Loved the breakfast - delicious. Very good cereal (granolas) fruit puree, lovely pastries, good juices, meats cheese etc. Very comfortable pillows and linen. - duvets too small - see below.
Cons: Bar closed too early. Should stay open until at least 11.00pm. Didn't want to go necessarily to drink in the neighbouring hotel bar. Dining room not open in the evening/afternoon, so there was nowhere with a decent table to sit - and for us - to play cards. Horrible woman on reception the day we arrived. We arrived early at 9am, knowing our rooms might not be ready. We used the changing facilities which were basic but ok, and went out to ski. It happened to rain the whole day, so when we came back at 4pm, we were soaked right through. 2 of 3 rooms were ready, despite having asked for our room to be ready as we had particularly asked for it at 9am that morning; but no. The receptionist seemed to take great delight in making me wait, freezing cold, tired and wet for the room, which she said wasn't ready. She seemed to be 'playing' with me; wouldn't tell me the room number; took ages before she would go to check if it was in fact ready, and when she did go, she found it was ready, so it was all a joke to her. There was zero need for her to make me wait at all. She could have gone right away to check it and would have found it was ready. What an unpleasant experience. The lift stopped operating at 10.30pm or similar until 7.30am. Why? How ridiculous. Single duvets on all the double beds - horrible and small. Horribly thin doors between rooms. I could hear everything that was said by those in the room next door. They kept trying out the mutual door handles - every time the handle rattled in my room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good location with mountain views. Cosy traditional style and wood panelled rooms. Good breakfast and view - lovely breads. Helpful staff - able to leave our bags there for the day after check out
Cons: Not a lot didn’t like but some might want more of an atmosphere in the evening around the bar . The steps up to reception may not be easy for the less abled with bags
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet was pretty good - no hot breakfast other than boiled eggs - but good selection of meats, cheses, breads, jams, crosissants etc
Cons: Our room was far too small to accommodate bunk beds and a large double bed! The 3 of us were falling over ourselves.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location of hotel is in the centre of town. The hotel breakfast was fantastic. And having access to a pool and spa in the neighbouring hotel was ideal.
Cons: Nothong.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful. Accommodation a little small but very clean and adequately
Cons: Old fashioned door key system . Steps up to reception .

Pros: The hotel is wonderful. Very good location - right in the centre of town. The rooms are decorated very well and very comfortable. Great service and staff. I particularly loved that reception had put together a care package for the trip back to Geneva. I asked the hotel to organise my transfer back to Geneva airport and was impressed that it was cheaper than anything I had been able to find online- which is not always the case when booking through a hotel. I would definitely return

It offers a seasonal outdoor pool and a terrace with panoramic views of the Aravis Valley. The Combe des Juments ski lift is 20 metres away. The guest rooms at the Chalet-Hôtel Du Borderan have floor-to-ceiling windows with unrestricted mountain views. Each is equipped with a TV and private bathroom with bath or shower. 8,0 Excellent
Pros: Right by the lift - 10 yards away. Great staff. Really good food and wine. A lilt basic in-room and would have liked a stand-up shower/coffee making facilities but would stay here again.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic host, great food. Hotel location was first class near ski shop, ski pass office and lifts.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent. Typical home cooked French cuisine. Rooms were spacious. Large common room with billiard table for group relaxing after dinner. Ski room now has heaters for boots. Very convenient for the first chair which is literally across the road from the hotel. Skiing home is a bit variable as the run back to the bottom of the chair is a red with no snow cannons on it. As it is quite low needs regular snow fall otherwise you will be skiing on grass! Fortunately this chair accepts downward passengers too.
Cons: The bathrooms are a bit basic. Our bath had a shower but no fixing on the wall to attach the head to.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming and helpful staff, excellent service at breakfast and dinner and food great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic home cooked food served every day. Really friendly staff. Nice dining area with views over the mountains. Although the hotel was away from the main resort the ski bus stops directly outside and shuttles hourly to the resort and back. The hotel was also immediately opposite two of the ski lifts, the ski pass shop and somewhere to hire skis.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect skiing “chalet” for a short break. The warmth of the welcome and the friendliness of everyone is fabulous. The food is lovely and you feel like you are part of a family meal each evening rather than eating in a formal dining room. The ski facilities are adequate but what sets this apart is that you are directly opposite the top of the Transval lift and the bottom of the Combe des Juments lift and (red) run. And a ski hire shop. And a lift pass office. This is a real skiers hotel. My 18 year old son and I came here for a four night stay and loved it. If we come to La Clusaz again it will be to stay here.
Cons: This is a family run hotel and a few of the furnishings are a little dated and tired but it is comfortable and exceptionally clean and well cared for. It is not within walking distance of La Clusaz so if you are after nightlife this isn’t really for you (but I’m not sure many people come to La Clusaz for the nightlife anyway!).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant food, views and ambience are exceptional.
Cons: Rooms would benefit from updating.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location for a couple on short ski break as right next to Combe du Juments & Transval lifts. Also ski hire shop directly opposite and ski pass machine. Approx 6min free bus ride from centre of La Clusaz. Bus only goes every hour but if you time it ok then not a problem. Traditional family run chalet. Staff incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. They couldn’t do more for you. Lovely dining room overlooking slopes. Dinner was very well cooked traditional French cuisine and great portions. The cake choice for dessert every night was a highlight.
Cons: Nothing if you take it this as a timeless classic ski chalet but don’t expect a modern high spec bathroom although very clean and well maintained. Not ideal if you would rather be in the centre of town as it’s not walkable and you need to rely on the free bus. I would however recommend to anyone and would gladly return! (We’re a couple 35yrs old)

7,1 Good
Pros: we stayed here before. Good position in village. Our room was very spacious with a lovely view and balcony. Swimming pool and spa superb.
Cons: It felt only half open. Restaurant was closed the whole time we were there, and everything else closed down at 8pm. Log fire in salon but was never lit. Staff left at 8 pm and place was in darkness.. no parking, so that was an extra cost in public car park. There is no free parking in La Clusaz any more. Cleaner knocked on our door ever morning at around 9 a.m.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really lovely and made our stay special.
Cons: Bathroom was very spacious, but there wasn’t a proper shower.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: good sized room and bathroom. Large balcony with table and chairs, nice pool area.
Cons: More information in the room about what was available from the hotel, I.e. only realised that we could have asked for a kettle after seeing a notice at reception
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great and helpful. Great location in the centre of the amenities, with the option of skiing back to the hotel and a chair lift just round the corner to start the day. We had a great view of the slopes on the top floor (room24) with a balcony.
Cons: To be honest it exceeded my expectations, I couldn't fault it for our 4 night stay skiing with my daughter.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was super. Staff very friendly and competent. Room peaceful and clean.
Cons: Nothing

5,0 Okay
Pros: I appreciated the hotel's obsolete charm.
Cons: It is a bit far from the centre of the village. Hard to move around without a car (there are ski buses, but the last one back leaves the village around 19:30). It was cold in the room. The owner is nice, but a bit nosy.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and quiet family hotel
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent and helpful. Location was great if, like us, you appreciate a quieter holiday destination with great views of the mountain. Access to the slopes was great and local bus service very reliable.
Cons: Not so much a “not like” but a pointer for people booking this hotel and planning to rely on the local/ski bus; worth considering/asking for full board when you book as there are few restaurants in the nearby village (but they are very good) and the bus service from town stops at 1935.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The lady is phenomenal. The food was good. The place was super clean overall awesome.

Pros: Delicious breakfast, very friendly stuff, nice view
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Every detail and every corner is decorated with love. You have to see to experience and immerse yourself in this beautiful chalet run by a wonderful mother and son team. Service is impeccable to say the least and the hospitality as warm as their fire place in the main building. In winter, expect to wake up to the wondrous beauty of Alpine snow covered landscape and forests. You can even have a short slide down their slopes to the stream running just 60 metres from the chalets. For dog lovers, either bring your dog along for a wonderful trekking experience or play with their ever friendly Collie. Wander to the town centre at night (if you drive) to soak in the atmosphere of the twinkly lights. I would say more but, like a good movie, I don’t want to give away to much lest I spoil your own wonderful experience when you book a stay and discover your own magical adventure in La Serraz.
Cons: Frankly, only love for this beautiful home away from home. Well, I wish my home was so beautiful and comfy.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The owners were super friendly and hospitable. Great for ski in ski out. Good food and wine at great value. Clean comfortable rooms.
Cons: The centre of La Clusaz is only accessible by bus which doesn’t run at night (over than peak weeks). Not necessarily an issue as dinner in the restaurant is excellent.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great breakfast: good selection, excellent quality and friendly staff. At check-in, staff was very helpful providing directions to the hotel and when we said we would be arriving after hours. Beautiful location, beautiful view from balcony. The rooms are very "woody", made for cold and snow but still comfortable in summer. And great price for a night.
Cons: Bed mattress could be less spongy. The shower floor could use with a replacement. The lack of an elevator complicates things when you're carrying big bags. But it's a winter cottage; an elevator would feel out of place. Anyway, be prepared to sweat a little if carrying lots of luggage. And the doors' hinges and locks need oil: it was too noisy when we arrived.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean hotel
7,9 Good
Pros: Very clean. Good location
Cons: Not possible to have 2 rooms with connected door No elevator to second flour

Cons: Can have hot water cattle in the room.
