Cons: A/C broken, customer service is lacking. We got back late to the room and found that the room was hot, and the air conditioning was broken. The hotel was fully booked for the festival "Juro Svente", so the staff was unable to relocate us to another room. We could not open the windows to cool the room because there was a load restaurant and busy square below, with smokers under the window. The room was hot and we were stuck. The person at the desk explained that others were having similar issues, and offered a fan to cool a family of 4. Upon checkout, we explained that the reason we booked the hotel is because it had air conditioning, and that we had an uncomfortable night. We were offered a "soft drink" for our terrible night. We asked for the manager and waited a long time. She was very friendly, but not very helpful. In the end, after explaining that our expectations were not met for a "luxury" hotel, the manager offered nothing. After a half-hour of back-and-forth, "It's our fault that we let them know earlier that it was broken" she finally offered a 20% discount, but because my card was already charged she would need to wire the refund to my account. That was a week ago, and I still haven't seen it.

Pros: Located right in the middle of the action, a few steps away from the Old Town, and a stone throw away from the harbour where you’ll jump on a few minutes ferry ride and enjoy a magnificent sandy beach stretching 40 kilometres along the Baltic Sea. Friendly staff and spotless clean.

Pros: We were very pleased with National hotel. Everything was to the highest standard from registration to room, breakfast and unbeatable location. It is the second time we stayed here and we will be back on our next visit to Klaipeda.

Pros: Reception personal was so friendly (specially evening shifts) Room nice equipped (Perfect for us with extra headshower near toilet) comfortable bed and good size and clean. Place is perfect (sad that we cant stay longer)

Pros: We arrived at the hotel during the sea festival and enjoyed being near of all the attractions around town and still not in the crowded areas. We therefore turned back for dinner which was nice and peaceful and different from what we had eaten during our three weeks‘ bicycle trip around the Baltic States. We could keep our bicycles in the surveyed reception area when not needed. The room was spacious, quiet and clean and the staff extremely helpful.

Cons: The breakfast buffet was very big and various. In spite of that we would have appreciated a bigger variety of cereal or porridge.

Cons: Our first room was small and tired! Upgrade to business room essential! We wanted to have bfast but went and looked and decided no way!! Poor offer! The lift is lethal and shuts far too quickly - twice hurt by this! Not a hotel I would recommend! Weddings on two of the three nights so lots of noise in the hotel but not our room. No room service??? Very disappointing overall!

Pros: This hotel was amazing. The room was gorgeous and had excellent appliances. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant is amazing Armenian food and I could have eaten there every day. The Turkish coffee was especially delicious.

Cons: It is a bit far from the downtown area, so be prepared to walk for 10-15 minutes.

Pros: The staff is pleasant and helpfull. We needed to park our car for 2 days not only a day due to our cycling trip and they helped us without problem. The property is close to the grocery, centre and port. We recommend it.

Pros: breakfast was delivered in the basket at the agreed time. guesthouse is right next to the historical centre, so you have a bit problem with parking, because they have only few parking spaces. fortunately, they had free lot in the backyard. you don't pay parking on street at night, but you have to during the day (at the street).

Cons: They scared me a bit about security of the area with all the reminders to not leave valuables anywhere and double lock two doors to the room. I didn't notice the area to be particularly unsafe but it left an uneasy feeling. Also single room was VERY small.

Pros: Other reviewers say the location, staff, price, and atmosphere were very good. I would not really disagree. However, we paid too much for a double and had cold showers, so we feel other potential guests should hear what can happen here. My rating would be 6.

Cons: At 10:30PM my wife took a shower and the water was very cold. She called the staff and was told, " Oh, many people must be taking the shower now. Try later." This meant that cold showers were not unusual. I tried later and the shower was very cold. The next day, we saw people waiting to check into the hotel. We decided to take a shower early. We tried at 630PM and the water was very cold again. No other reviewer mentioned cold water; if we knew there were cold showers, we would never have gone to this hotel. The listing for our room also said "maximum 2 people", so we thought we were getting a double. I most probably did not read the listing carefully enough. Our room had a double and a single bed. We thought we were paying for a double, but we paid for a triple or a family room.

Pros: I arrived by ferry in the late evening during the weekend. Eventhough the reception was already closed, all instructions were crystal clear. The room was clean and safe and is close to all attractions and facilities such as supermarkets.

Pros: The hotel is in a walking distance from the Old city and the New Port, which is the way to the Sea museum and Smiltine, and Nida. Staff is wonderful, letting feel that you are the quest they were waiting for. Breakfast basket was brought to the room doors! I could wish some fruit in the breakfast basket.
