Beautiful steak in the restaurant. Very comfortable room. Very nice staff
Entrance wasn't marked that clearly, so parking in the wrong car park, and had to keep walking all the way round to get to car etc.
Loved the 4 poster bed.
Busy restaurant when coach parties arrive.
It was a beautiful hotel in a lovely location, and the staff were so professional and pleasant, it was how a hotel should be!
I changed hotels to yours specifically because you had a pool. My son was traveling down to oxford on a rugby camp and an early morning swim was on the cards. Despite him being bigger than myself and a very competent swimmer, he wasn’t allowed in the pool as it was for members only. He could only swim during the children’s session when quite frankly he would have been unable to have a good swim at all. He’s the size of an adult and staff should have used their discretion in this instance. The pool was the reason I booked the hotel and we couldn’t even use it. Won’t come again.
The hotel restaurant and bar , staff were lovely, chatty and welcoming.
staff on bar and restaurant were lovely, not so much the reception staff. The hotel ran out of several items on the menu over both days so didn't even replenish the day after. The mattress was far too hard for me , but that is individual choice. Room was like a premier Inn really but double the price.
