7,1 Good
Cons: The bed was broken. The staff couldn’t do anything on the first night, but changed the bed the next day. A hotel of this standard should have quality assurance of all room facilities prior to guest check in. The smoke alarm battery died during the night and woke me up at 6am - not ideal for a weeknend trip. Regular maintenance would avoid such a situation.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The green plants around the room, the very friendly staff and the nice comfy bed
Cons: No dental care facilities in the room, no body lotion

Cons: I don't understand why they had to have the grass cut at 7am outside the room! It was crazy noisy and made me very allergic.

Cons: One thing is the internet access in the cafe and restaurants. It can be a bit annoying to ask for a key all the time.

Pros: I loved the location of the hotel, the rooms looked clean and well designed
Cons: The stuff, I called the reception for a flat iron in my room they told me the flat irons had run out in the hotel, but then they sent one of the stuff member to come pick my clothes for ironing, but then got disappointed even more when the stuff member arrived 40mins when I had even changed my mind. 2nd I didn't like was the breakfast, the breakfast was served in my room but the waffles they put on my breakfast had over stayed, the tea was cold the eggs had no salt. I would request the management to train there stuff well or else they will kill the business. Thankyou
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I travel very frequently but this was one of my best travel experiences. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional from the reception to dinning room to security and drivers everyone went out of their way to help (and I landed 2am). Hotel is also on lovely green setting and I appreciated its impressive history. I will be back!

6,7 Good
Cons: When you decide to prolong your stay, the staff at the reception keep bothering you of the bill. I was woken up in my sleep to be told that the Front Manager is annoyed because you didn’t pay today’s bill (at 2pm). I told them I will pay when checking out but they kept bothering me until I cut-short my sleep and walk to the reception. I didn’t like that.
6,3 Good
Pros: Best gym possible and quiet location.
Cons: The rooms are a bit outdated with terrible showers. No value.
6,3 Good
Pros: Great staff. Great gym. Good curries.
Cons: Great gym and leisure facilities. Rooms unloved, need updating. On arrival suite was clearly not cleaned dirty toilets, hairs in bed musty smell. Tired bedding and towels (no hand towels, flannels). Watered down body wash shampoo..same products just different label. One needs to pay extra service charge on top of already charged serve charge if meals are charged to the room. Dissapointing. Saved by the staff and gym, pool facilities.

9,7 Excellent
Pros: The staff is outstanding, this was our third year in a row staying at Humura and even though a year past since seeing us, they knew us and called us by name. The new General Manager, Fernando, is very personable and will do anything you need to ensure you are satisfied. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a smaller hotel with personal service and a laid back atmosphere, you have to stay at Humura - they will treat you well. I have stayed at Humura 5 times, there’s no other place for me when I’m in Kampala. Say Hi to Ronald at the front desk and Denis, Rick, and Daniel in the restaurant area for me when you get there.
Cons: The only nit is that you have to turn on the water to run for a little bit before it gets warm enough to shower. I could think of many worse things that could happen in Uganda then having to wait for warm water.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Maybe I’m cheating a bit by reviewers it twice but I feel this place deserves a higher rating. Obviously the renovations were effective and the place looks lovely and is atmospherically decorated in a local style. Loved the pool and staff is amazing. We stayed here twice during our stay. At the start and at the end. We loved it!!
6,7 Good
Pros: Fast check-in, quiet place and fairly modern
Cons: Breakfast quiet simple (eggs to order, but bread was stale). No lighting at stairs when you have to go to your room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Calm place to stay in a somewhat hectic city. Loving the pool area. Staff was super nice and helpful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location and price were great. The hotel was secure (gated and guarded). The check in process was smooth and receptionist friendly. The room (stayed in 16) had a fairly nice view and was furnished nicely and was clean.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable. I prefer a firm mattress but this was almost unbearable. The wifi was painfully slow. I would have been better off tethering my phone to my friends using the local 3G network. The TV had six channels...of the six, three were soccer, one was news, and two were nothing. I did receive a notice under the door on the last day saying there was "technical problems" but it still sucked. I wouldn't have needed the TV, but it rained for a good portion of the morning and I would have liked to relax to the TV. Also, the TV was painfully small. Like a 20" screen quite far from the bed. The a/c was quite loud at times, but nothing that would prevent one from sleeping. I think my biggest frustrations (aside from the mattress )was the lack of hot water on the last day...semi forgivable because it's Africa, but still. And lastly, the location of the room was awful. It was adjacent to the stairway that lead to the lower rooms, and I could hear every person stomping up and down the stairs, as well as the staff cleaning the grounds.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff is awesome, Ronald at the front desk and Denis, Rick, and Daniel in the restaurant are outstanding and willing to do anything to make your stay enjoyable. The new General Manager, Fernando, is very friendly and will ensure your stay is perfect. Humura is a small resort so they can concentrate on great customer satisfaction. This was my 5th time staying there and have already made plans to go back next year.
Cons: Sometimes it may take a little bit for you to get warm water in the shower but at least your getting warm water in Uganda.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The staff were quite good and pleasant to relate with, Denis at the restaurant was quite helpful in stay back to make sure I get dinner when it was past due time.
Cons: There was apparently a disconnect somewhere because I arrived late at night and was given a room with a faulty air conditioner! A portable type placed in the room before my arrival indicated the knowledge of the bad AC in the room, but the portable type did not work, so I ended up opening the window to let cool air into the room. I rejected an offer of $20 discount and requested a 50% reduction in room rate for the first night. I was moved into another room the next morning, but the AC in the new room was freezing up after working for a while. I switched it off and all the ice melted into the room beside the bed! It was a horrible experience that I have never had in my over 20 years of international travel! I definitely will not be staying at this facility ever again.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very nice, the entire environment is lovely. Parking in front of the resort is no problem. It was easy to feel well there. The open space is great. You always find a nice place to sit.
Cons: Breakfast was very limited, and lunch took very long even I asked before how long it might take (took 2-3 times as long as predicted). One should not walk outside after 6:30 PM at night, too dangerous because of the dark corners around the golf club - but luckily there is Uber in Kampala which worked great.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the service from all staff, and the location.
Cons: I would appreciate a faster internet and a warmer shower
5,0 Okay
Pros: Water pressure very weak. Not close to town. Cannot walk to dangerous. Food average nothing special.
Cons: Needs a revamp money spent on facilities Water pressure is crap. Beds like planks Staff friendly. However it’s very basic for the cost.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and serviceminded and I felt at home the week I stayed here with my two teenage daughters. The other guest was also nice and there was no trouble at the hotel. We had two big rooms connected as Family room. The rooms where clean and with NO insects, such as mosquito. The pool lokked Nice, but we didn't get time to use it. TV and wifi worked well.
Cons: The aircon was a bit noicy from time to time. We had to recharge the key cards daily.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Good central location in the city. Large room.
Cons: Hotel that was somewhat 'Grand' when I stayed there many years ago now looks dim and faded. Mattress wrapped in plastic. Duvet without cover. Swimming pool / health facilities not available (under renovation). Handwritten list of breakfast options including chicken, beef and 2-3 other items I cannot remember. Not worth the USD 100 charged.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It had an air of faded grandeur. The outdoor dining area is quite pleasant but the live music can detract from dinner.
Cons: It is in need of a refurbishment. The bathrooms are quite ancient and some taps were broken.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Service of the staff.. rest everything was below expectations or rate poor
Cons: Property has become old and all furniture, fixtures and other facilities are run down. Property needs major renovation. Location of the property is fairly good and is accessible from city centre. B/f didn’t enjoy and was substandard. Didn’t eat lich if dinner considering quality of B/F.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every day live band during dinner . Food have wide range . Quiet hotel

8,8 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything ☺
Cons: TV stations
7,9 Good
Pros: Every single person there is courteous, respectful and very polite. Especially Isaac at reception, such fantastic customer service. The rooms are very clean and the managers are great. Security is good and nobody comes to your apartment before reception call you to ask if you know them. They have a beautiful waiting area for people to wait for you if you don’t want them in your apartment and you can have small none-private business meetings there. All Uber people can find it easily because that’s an issue when directing people to pick you up in Uganda especially if you don’t know the area very well.
Cons: The apartments have a Pentecostal church to the left of them and 2 bars to the front, and they’re loud! And I mean LOUD. The church has evening prayers most days and overnights most weekends, and forget a lay in on Sunday mornings coz they start early. The bars obviously most weekends. Also for the money they charge, some things could easily be repaired. Like the toilet flush that’s supposed to have 2 different flush buttons but has one, the flower pots that could do with a leak of paint, small things really that could make a good place really look great. Sometimes they’re slow at responding to requests. We had a faulty iron and it took 3 hours to get one that worked. Luckily it was for leisure but if it was for business that’s a long time! I got a problem with my floor (the tiling rose and when you stepped it felt scary like falling through) and it took a whole day to get a reaction and that was after chasing them a lot! I was eventually moved, but to the room directly facing the loud church! Also there isn’t much choice on the menu in the restaurant so be ready to either order on line or cook for yourself. But when they finally respond to issues they do take your complaints seriously and the managers personally have a chat and try to resolve things. I’d stay there again just because they have really nice, friendly staff, security is great and it’s very clean. Kudos to our cleaning lady too, Carol, very thorough and professional.
Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa - Kampala - Pool

Overview Reviews
The Resort is styled to replicate the lines of a classically rustic Roman Villa which might just as easily standamid the sunflowers of the Tuscan Hills, as on the shores of Africas largest lake. This resort will offer both a contrast and an extension to the 5-star profile of the flagship Kampala Serena Hotel, thus ensuring that the Serena Portfolio embraces all the aspects of Ugandas social and cooperate life. Future developments on the property include a golf-course, marina and luxury residential complex.Rising on gentle slopes above the marina with long views across the lush greens to Lake Victoria beyond, the hotel itself has been styled to echo an Italian palace with its campanile, glittering mosaics, rustically arched pool terrace and shaded colonnades. Set within the grounds, amid water cascades and fountains, is a Roman coliseum, which offers the ultimate wedding or event arena. And, widely spaced amongst the shaded pathways of the gardens, clusters of pastel-painted villas house the rooms, all of which enjoy panoramic views across the Marina to the hazy expanses of Africas second largest lake.

Cons: WiFi In room was very weak and often non existent. IT put in a separate modem which worked until they came back and reclaimed it. Three requests to return it were ignored. This was a business trip so that was a frustration.
