Pros: This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of East Africa. The staff, service, ambiance and amenities are world class.

Cons: Security lacking as my niece was assaulted in the lift and also at one of the eating area slapped by a guest the hotel did not re even offer to reduce their rate or give them free rooms. The girls was traumatised and did not sleep for 2 nights. All they did was apologise .

6,3 Good
Pros: Olympic size swimming pool, which also makes one feel small. The room was nice. The best looking shower door I had so far ... but it still leaked. The gym was very good, besides the Indian staff.
Cons: Very far from the Lake and overcrowded with continuous wedding parties. The lake fish was not super fresh. You had to wait ages to get hot water.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent variety of breakfast, coffee Lassie, I had never seen
Cons: Some Indian staff talking short
7,9 Good
Pros: The garden and the lake
Cons: The smell in the restaurant
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast buffet with plenty of variety to choose from. Nice selection of teas and cook really good at making omelettes. The room is also very cozy and comfortable. Good lighting of the room.
Cons: The absence of body lotions in the bedroom. Even upon request, the operator confirmed the the property no longer provided lotions.
7,1 Good
Pros: The sightseeing is nice and beautiful, room is very quiet for living and sleeping.
Cons: The location is not very favorable. Actually, as a large hotel, it doesn't provide free printing service even if ony 5 pages, the decoration is not that new, and wifi in the room cannot be easily accessed.
5,4 Okay
Cons: STAFF ARE NOT ACCOMMODATING
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything we all loved it
7,1 Good
Pros: The location and ambience was great. Staff were very helpful and the meals were sumptuous.
Cons: Noisy extractor fan in the bathroom. Corridor outside the room could have done with some sweeping at time of check-in. Late check-out is restricted to Midday.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly Environment was good
Cons: There were no slippers in the room The fridge was not working The bed was too small There was no menu in the room for room service
4,6 Okay
Pros: The scenery.
Cons: The air con had a clicking noise the whole night. The hot water took a long time to heat up and there was a wedding party at the hotel. The music from the wedding party was playing until well past 4 am in the morning with people walking up and down the corridor making noise so I could not sleep. I had a flight the next day. When I complained about this they merely said 'its a wedding there is nothing they can do'. This was not acceptable considering I paid for an upgrade for room. Whilst breakfast was fine, the tea was not. The milk was off which resulted in me having a really bad stomach for the whole day. It was really not acceptable and I did not get an apology for this.

Featured amenities include limo/town car service, express check-in, and express check-out. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
7,1 Good
Cons: The bed was broken. The staff couldn’t do anything on the first night, but changed the bed the next day. A hotel of this standard should have quality assurance of all room facilities prior to guest check in. The smoke alarm battery died during the night and woke me up at 6am - not ideal for a weeknend trip. Regular maintenance would avoid such a situation.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The green plants around the room, the very friendly staff and the nice comfy bed
Cons: No dental care facilities in the room, no body lotion
9,6 Excellent
Cons: I don't understand why they had to have the grass cut at 7am outside the room! It was crazy noisy and made me very allergic.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful set up and rooms. Great food. Lovely and well trained staff.
Cons: One thing is the internet access in the cafe and restaurants. It can be a bit annoying to ask for a key all the time.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff, cleanliness and an excellent gourmet supermarket and restaurant being adjacent. Included breakfast was of high standard. Location quite central with the location still being a quiet refuge.
Cons: No real minus points.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Warmth and excellence
Cons: Staff makes you feel at home
4,6 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was pathetic for lack of a better word.Especially the coffee. Then they don't have name tags on the warmers and write "chef's specials" on all food.

Cons: The gym has few staff
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Upon moving to a higher floor it was quieter and a bit cleaner with tile and no carpet. Breakfast was okay. Front desk staff and travel desk staff friendly.
Cons: Some of the rooms face a very loud nightclub with late music. Carpet in room was horribly dirty and tub/grout dirty. They don't vacuum. Cashier and catering of meeting staff not friendly. Catering services interrupted our meeting countless times to set up tea, ask for signatures on invoices, etc.

5,8 Okay
Pros: 1) They upgraded us to a suite , which had a good balcony. 2) The fresh juices in the breakfast. They had about 5 - 6 different ones. All good. 3) The Indian food was good in the restaurant. 4) staff were all pleasant
Cons: 1) The whole room is very ordinary. The furniture / bathroom etc is very average quality. Overall not more than a 2star rating for the rooms. 2) Not worth the price at all.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: The massage parlour could have been better signposted- it was a little difficult to find. Also make massages available for men
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful place to stay in m midst of busy work week
Cons: Many TV channels without sound
7,5 Good
Pros: The pool and Indian food at the restaurant were incredible. I also saw that the gym was very popular and a lot of people were excercising in and around the hotel. I personally did not love that there were multiple travels with children. It was a very mixed clientele with many expats.
Cons: I did not like the way my room was furnished and how clean it felt. It was big and had a nice balcony but the floors were letting lose and the furniture felt very outdated.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good place to rest after busy days
Cons: Many TV channels had pictures but no sign
6,7 Good
Pros: the location, the big parking.
Cons: Some of the staff aren't very professional.. as example an Asian staff at the main gate was more concern about is communication on mobile as our request for a taxi. the smile is missing in this hotel (breakfast, security..) reception peoples are very nice and professional.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendliness. Cleanliness. Spacious. Swimming pool. Gate entrance security. Food choices and quality were excellent.
Cons: The hotel took the money from the visa card that was used for booking on the same day that we arrived without our knowledge, rather than on the checkout day. This denied us the option to settle our bill in the local currency which would have saved us a 5% visa payment charge that the hotel imposed on us. Adding approximately an extra 100€. This practice is unfair and must be ilegal.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The food was good
Cons: There was a noise on Friday and as guests we prefer to have a quiet environment
6,7 Good
Pros: Hot shower work well. Good enviroment if u r coming for just vacation.
Cons: Restaurant staff is not much punctual and friendly. Toilet didnt flush well.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was okay.
Cons: Disorganized... Not good coffee.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Maybe I’m cheating a bit by reviewers it twice but I feel this place deserves a higher rating. Obviously the renovations were effective and the place looks lovely and is atmospherically decorated in a local style. Loved the pool and staff is amazing. We stayed here twice during our stay. At the start and at the end. We loved it!!
6,7 Good
Pros: Fast check-in, quiet place and fairly modern
Cons: Breakfast quiet simple (eggs to order, but bread was stale). No lighting at stairs when you have to go to your room.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are amazing! It is small, quiet and safe. Very relaxing
Cons: My air conditioning did not work and kept leaking water. leaked all over my clothes. The staff tried very hard to fix it and unfortunately there was not another room available.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Calm place to stay in a somewhat hectic city. Loving the pool area. Staff was super nice and helpful.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The location is very good.
Cons: At the moment I stayed in Humura there was a lot of construction work going on. Even on Sunday morning 8 am. This was not a pleasent part of our stay, however we received a free of charge late checkout, which was good! The breakfast is also not what I expected from a hotel with this rate. I strongly believe that after all the construction and an upgrade of the rooms this hotel is back on its level again. At the moment the rooms are in a need of some renovation.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff
Cons: The payment system. Machines were not working
5,4 Okay
Cons: The hotel is under construction and the shower was cold. It was noisy at night from the construction. They asked me to pay up front for the 5 nights and then did not refund me when I had to move hotels because of no hot water. Eventually they reimbursed my credit card but it was after I left Uganda. I met the manager as I was leaving and he spilled coffee on my bag. Maybe in a few months they will have their act together. Just check on the construction status and refuse to pay in advance for your entire stay. I won’t stay there again but it will probably end up being a nice place.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location and price were great. The hotel was secure (gated and guarded). The check in process was smooth and receptionist friendly. The room (stayed in 16) had a fairly nice view and was furnished nicely and was clean.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable. I prefer a firm mattress but this was almost unbearable. The wifi was painfully slow. I would have been better off tethering my phone to my friends using the local 3G network. The TV had six channels...of the six, three were soccer, one was news, and two were nothing. I did receive a notice under the door on the last day saying there was "technical problems" but it still sucked. I wouldn't have needed the TV, but it rained for a good portion of the morning and I would have liked to relax to the TV. Also, the TV was painfully small. Like a 20" screen quite far from the bed. The a/c was quite loud at times, but nothing that would prevent one from sleeping. I think my biggest frustrations (aside from the mattress )was the lack of hot water on the last day...semi forgivable because it's Africa, but still. And lastly, the location of the room was awful. It was adjacent to the stairway that lead to the lower rooms, and I could hear every person stomping up and down the stairs, as well as the staff cleaning the grounds.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The staff were quite good and pleasant to relate with, Denis at the restaurant was quite helpful in stay back to make sure I get dinner when it was past due time.
Cons: There was apparently a disconnect somewhere because I arrived late at night and was given a room with a faulty air conditioner! A portable type placed in the room before my arrival indicated the knowledge of the bad AC in the room, but the portable type did not work, so I ended up opening the window to let cool air into the room. I rejected an offer of $20 discount and requested a 50% reduction in room rate for the first night. I was moved into another room the next morning, but the AC in the new room was freezing up after working for a while. I switched it off and all the ice melted into the room beside the bed! It was a horrible experience that I have never had in my over 20 years of international travel! I definitely will not be staying at this facility ever again.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very nice, the entire environment is lovely. Parking in front of the resort is no problem. It was easy to feel well there. The open space is great. You always find a nice place to sit.
Cons: Breakfast was very limited, and lunch took very long even I asked before how long it might take (took 2-3 times as long as predicted). One should not walk outside after 6:30 PM at night, too dangerous because of the dark corners around the golf club - but luckily there is Uber in Kampala which worked great.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Water pressure very weak. Not close to town. Cannot walk to dangerous. Food average nothing special.
Cons: Needs a revamp money spent on facilities Water pressure is crap. Beds like planks Staff friendly. However it’s very basic for the cost.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Large room, comfortable bed and pillows.
Cons: Had to ask for electric jug, fridge Did not have herbal teas, only black tea Cracked window Chair on balcony would be helpful Needed hooks in bathroom to hang washing
5,0 Okay
Pros: Service of the staff.. rest everything was below expectations or rate poor
Cons: Property has become old and all furniture, fixtures and other facilities are run down. Property needs major renovation. Location of the property is fairly good and is accessible from city centre. B/f didn’t enjoy and was substandard. Didn’t eat lich if dinner considering quality of B/F.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is the deal. The place has history. The nightly life band in the terrace cafe and the staff make this a good stay. The breakfast is ok. You get value for the money you pay. The rooms are reasonably priced for this location.
Cons: The place needs renovation to bring it back to old shine. Currently there are 4 businesses on the premises (hotel, restaurant/cafe, casino, shopping mall). But there is not even direct access from hotel to shopping mall and the casino staff gives you a rub if you enter from hotel side. So if all this could be united under one concept, this place could become what it once was: the centre of Kampala.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Bed was to road side and near to the club
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and serviceminded and I felt at home the week I stayed here with my two teenage daughters. The other guest was also nice and there was no trouble at the hotel. We had two big rooms connected as Family room. The rooms where clean and with NO insects, such as mosquito. The pool lokked Nice, but we didn't get time to use it. TV and wifi worked well.
Cons: The aircon was a bit noicy from time to time. We had to recharge the key cards daily.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every day live band during dinner . Food have wide range . Quiet hotel
5,8 Okay
Pros: Good central location in the city. Large room.
Cons: Hotel that was somewhat 'Grand' when I stayed there many years ago now looks dim and faded. Mattress wrapped in plastic. Duvet without cover. Swimming pool / health facilities not available (under renovation). Handwritten list of breakfast options including chicken, beef and 2-3 other items I cannot remember. Not worth the USD 100 charged.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beds and Sofa Set in the Room were very Old Victorian Style and luxury overall decor and Beds were Good for Resting
Cons: Was unable to make coffee in my room and was provided at the end of Corridor far from Entrance and being Senior Citizen 68 years had to walk up and down was bit taxing , also the Access Card Reader at Room was malfunctioning and had to run up and down many times to the reception to get it validated which was also taxing except for these two issues Had a wonderful stay at the Hotel enjoyed my stay and Food was good
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Grand Imperial is very conveniently located in Kampala. Service is excellent. The breakfast is excellent. I have stayed at the hotel numerous times, and always enjoyed it.
Cons: At night, there is loud music from the dining area which becomes a club. But that is no problem if you ask for a room that is unaffected by the noise.

Pros: House keeping ladies are extremely nice particularly a lady called Esther. There was also another young man called Eddie very nice and very professional. The receptionists were very good too.
Cons: hen you pay for meals the staff don’t give you the right balance . This happened to me 4 times and the 5th time I queried and the lady could not even say sorry . So how many people are being cheated without Knowing ? It’s only the lady (short lady) the cashier who was not very nice . Pros: The rooms were very nice.
Cons: The staff stayed in the gym watching tv and you couldn't use the machines without asking them to move everytime. The tv had very few channels.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast could be better improved. Hardly any Ugandan food. Remember some of us come over to enjoy Ugandan dishes like ground nut paste, roasted bananas, sweet potatoes. These can always be made even in small quantities
Cons: See above. They should also have stand by taxis as kampala taxi drivers dont wake up that early and one can easily miss their flight/bus if we are to edend on ubber rides

Pros: Everyone was so nice and helpful. You have a great staff. You allowed us to stay in the room past the checkout time because my flight leaves late. The shower was the best and the food was good. I plan on coming back and staying here soon. Thanks, Chuck & Olivia

Pros: Friendly staff ready to help Several nice restaurants direct at the hotel Spacious rooms
Cons: During booking via Kayak/Hotel.com suddenly an extra charge for taxes/fees showed up which increased the price extremely. Be careful as the 1st mentioned price to compare is may be not the final price. 5% extra charge for credit card payment

Pros: Great location for Kampala. Nice selection of food for breakfast and fun variety of restaurants on site. Staff were always kind and friendly.
Cons: I had a lot of trouble with very hot or very cold showers. Took a long time to heat up which was a shame wasting water. However the staff were on it and showed me a solution - albeit not very efficient.
7,1 Good
Pros: The position of the hotel and facilities like bar, restaurant and breakfast
Cons: Renovate the apartment. I am not even sure if they are part of the hotel the way they are located but I was put there. Looks to me like a different campus. The security staff at the entrance to the apartment should be trained in basic customer care. They dont even greed the customers and made me open the gate while they were there just sitting.
5,4 Okay
Pros: I found the Ugandan people really nice.
Cons: No slippers in your room. No iron for your clothes.
