It is centrally located about 1 min from the K Lautern. Friendly staff and nice clean rooms
Everything. The staff was amazing!
Location, English speaking was a great help, the son even reprogrammed the GPS in my car to work for English, awesome people.
Almost like a home away from home during my weekend trips and weekend escapes
Proposing to have their hotel sign lit up outside. Trying to find my way back to the hotel in the night, it’s difficult to see from far where the hotel entrance is because the sign has no light.
Hotel Barth was perfect for my needs. The breakfast was good and they had on site parking (for a fee). The hotel also had a small bar with some good options. The junior suite, which I stayed in, was good for long term stay. It had a microwave and refrigerator along with dishes and silverware. The shower was very large and the bathroom not at all cramped. Location was great with easy access to many shops and restaurants in the middle of downtown Kaiserslautern, to include the K in Lautern mall. My room also included an Ethernet port along with wireless. Wired Ethernet very fast and more secure.
Because of its location, driving in the immediate vicinity of the hotel could be difficult. The room I had was not air conditioned - not usually a problem in Germany, but I was there in June and there was a heatwave going on. Some of the rooms are air-conditioned, but the junior suite I was in was not. I do not believe the hotel had laundry service either, so if you plan on a long stay, plan accordingly for laundry arrangements.
With a stay at Hotel Barth in Kaiserslautern, you'll be a 3-minute walk from Hohenecken Castle and 6 minutes by foot from Japanischer Garten. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
