Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's central location and the friendliness of the staff, highlighting the property's historical charm and well-maintained common areas. However, several reviews noted issues with room cleanliness, aging or uncomfortable rooms, and inconsistent amenities such as air conditioning, mini-fridges, and restaurant/bar availability. Despite these drawbacks, the overall sentiment leaned positive due to the excellent service and prime location.

Maureen, Sept 2019
Pros (+) The location is good for downtown and the staff are very nice.
Cons (-) The rooms are not just tired. They’re like staying in a run down nursing home. The bathrooms are terrible. Our floor was wet all night with some mysterious dampness. And the ceiling in the bathroom had been dropped down using acoustic tiles. I’m sure they were hiding a multitude of sins. We’ll never stay there again.

Wonderful

Pros (+) The ambiance was priceless.
Cons (-) Being across the street from the monument has its good and bads. There was Yoga blocking the entrance upon my arrival and building a house when I left. When do these people sleep!

Very good
Anonymous, May 2018
Pros (+) The rooms were very nice, as were the common areas that I visited. The staff was helpful and kind.
Cons (-) The bathrooms were in desperate need of a refresh and some superficial repairs. That said, they were clean and everything worked.
