Pros: Felt like home surrounded by family and friends. Staff was helpful, friendly and very willing to give suggestions, shortcuts, directions or anything else someone might need. The room was very comfortable and quiet! Loved the themed room idea!
Cons: Had a little trouble finding with Mapquest...was easier way to get there after we arrived. I should have gotten directions from the owner. Rained so was not able to got outside but had a nice area outside to enjoy!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Just a homey feel! Kim is an excellent host! Very helpful with recommendations on rides and great places to visit. The breakfasts were delicious! We met so many interesting people and had great conversations.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: First time we stayed in a B&B. Felt very comfortable and safe. Great homemade snacks and plenty of coffee. Awesome breakfast! And they were very accommodating as to the time we wanted breakfast so we could head out to the KC Chiefs game on time. We will definitely return.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet. Close to square and local events.
Cons: Can't think of a thing, 3rd time that we visited
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location worked for us because it was close to the stadium and a few other locations we chose to frequent. The staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous. They certainly made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was also tasty and adequately filling.
Cons: The property wasn’t as clean as I’d been led to believe. Our shower curtain had mold at the bottom, caulking was dirty and peeling away from corners and edges. The listing claims the room was “soundproof”, yet we could hear nearly every footstep and every word uttered around our room. Probably the worst thing I can state here was there were ants in our room. Worse yet, we found several crawling around the pillows and bedding. We certainly didn’t sign up for that. Friendly staff, good breakfast....but not the cleanest or most quaint location you’ll find.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Old style inn
Cons: Location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, across the street from my destination. The theme decor of the sleeping rooms was special, as she had collected many of the decor items from her years living in Europe. Kim Morgan, the owner, was friendly and more than helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was heavy for my taste, and I would have liked a lighter alternative. (Most people would think it was great.)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location, Great rooms, host and food! Enjoyed the personal touch and conversation!

Pros: Breakfast was delicious. I also enjoyed that there was complimentary beverages available all day.

Pros: Friendly staff, great location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The nostalgia of the building and the wonderful staff that made our visit so enjoyable.
Cons: Needed a bit more lighting in the room 415.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The historic ambiance of this hotel is quite fitting to the rich history of the Kansas City Plaza. While there isn't a pool (which is a drawback), there are offering such as the Music on the Green and live Jazz in the lounge. Walking distance to Plaza
Cons: It's grand BUT WITHOUT the grandeur of ballrooms, hallway mazes to lead you to new areas ... it's compact in it's "lobby" offerings.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was great. Hotel restaurant and live music was outstanding both evenings.
Cons: Our room wasn't ready for an hour. There were technical difficulties with our room both nights - woke us up in the middle of the night three times during our stay. For the price of the room, we expected a better experience.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms, great shower, and Chaz lounge was nice
Cons: Website said shuttle service, which made me think they shuttle to certain places in the plaza, but they did not offer any kind of shuttle service. It was misleading.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk staff were excellent when I checked in. Man newly hired from Florida couldn't have been nicer!
Cons: There was noise outside of my window in the wee hours, 1-2am. Sounded like someone power-washing.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was exceptional; all levels were professional, friendly including food service
Cons: Room was smaller than hoped for at this price point. However, the room was well appointed, very clean and well kept.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very kind!

Pros: Location
Cons: Although nice ambiance room wasnt ready had to wait till 6:30 First floor room no privacy nice view but everyone else did too! Kinda musky AC was weak and had problems with faucet handles Didn''t really live up to the hype for an expensive room!

Pros: The lounge/restaraunt
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is amazing and so is staff!
Cons: No
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, classy, historic hotel. Love the boutique ambiance. Valet parking is the same price as self-park, nice that it wasn't extra. Several comfortable seating areas outside and inside to listen to live entertainment. Enjoyed the Chaz dinner/brunch
Cons: Perfect location, beautiful accommodation, excellent staff, no complaints! We were accidentally charged for one item from the snack tray that we didn't use, it was promptly removed and resolved! We will definitely be back!!

Pros: We were running later than I said we would check in. Tami at the front desk was so nice. She acted like she knew me called me by name and told me not to worry my room would be here for us when we arrived. She was on the front desk when we arrived and was just as personable when we checked in. She is a great asset to your company!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed the free breakfast !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful, and we were happy to have a room on the first floor (we had requested a lower level). The staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. The free breakfast provided was substantial, varied, and well-prepared with the breakfast area kept well-stocked and immaculate. The hotel location is in a busy part of the city, but our room and the hotel were very quiet. Also, the temperature of the room was perfect - no adjusting to get the temperature the way we wanted it. And we loved the window shade which kept the room private (no gap in the curtains!) but was easy to raise and lower.
Cons: Not applicable.
6,5 Good
Pros: People were friendly and room clean
Cons: They took a card for incidentals which they charged $10. For what????? We got nothing while there. Arrived 9:30 pm and left early. No extra charge was necessary - they should have to say what they charged for. Tried to get free internet. They wanted a fee for internet and I declined. The free internet didn't work - all sites were blocked. NOT good for a business trip.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived, we had been traveling for 10 hours. The young man at the reception desk was there waiting for me as I walked in and welcomed me with a big smile. He checked us in efficiently and explained we were on the first floor. We had requested a lower floor and loved our quiet but handy location. This young man set the tone for our visit. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. We also had a very nice free breakfast before we left. The lady who prepared the breakfast was also very personable, and the food bar was well stocked and clean. Tables were wiped clean immediately after use. We don't always see that. Checkout was quick, with a smile from the person who checked us out.
Cons: No dislikes.

Pros: Beautiful restoration. Excellent service. Surprisingly intimate in the middle of the city. 2 thumbs up!
8,6 Excellent
Pros: The Ambassador was really nice. Our room was great and cool looking, giant king size bed was comfy. They gave you free bottled water (as many as you needed), which was nice. The staff was really great as well. The highlight was the complimentary car service and their afternoon / night driver Bert. He was like a personal tour guide and knew a lot about the city. He also had really great restaurant and bar recommendations. He also got us into the Boulevard Brewing Tour last minute, which was booked out for the next six months. I didn't know this guy until the trip, but he really went out of his way to make my wife and I's KC experience worth while.
Cons: The bathroom door didn't lock and their was no fan ventilation in the bathroom. The bar downstairs was pricey!
4,0 Okay
Pros: The staff were very nice and polite. The ambiance was elegant. The bottled water in the room was a very nice touch. The carpet in the room had a cool pattern and felt really nice on my feet.
Cons: The bathroom smelled like sulfur for the duration of our stay. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and gave no support. The bedding was very heavy but not comforting. It was cold and non-breathable. The mattress itself was not very supportive and felt kinda stiff. We got no good sleep. The water in the shower had two settings: ice cold and scalding hot. The shampoo and conditioner provided seemed to do nothing at all for my hair.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay. We was wonderful being able to just walk to the Sprint Center. We loved the food and drink during happy hour. Everyone was very friendly. The room was very spacious. We will definitely be staying here again.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Didn't see any food options at Hotel, but there is a great area of farmer's market/restaurants (good morning spot) in one direction and lively Power & Light district (with good BBQ) in the other. Both are easy walks from the hotel.
Cons: Wish they had a hot tub...

Cons: Small issue with the sink but I didn''t even mention it to the staff
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean, staff was very friendly. Nothing fancy, but a great value for the money.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: quiet and secure. The bed was comfortable and room was large. Breakfast was good. Very close to many historic sites.
Cons: The 1st day I came down to breakfast at 8:45 as the signage said 7-9 and the dining room was closed up and dark. I was told that everyone else came down at 7 and was made to feel like it was my fault. I was given some toast and cold cereal that day but the breakfast was good the other 4 days. To be truthful I did not see one another guest the first 2 days anywhere so I am not sure who "came down for breakfast" at 7:00am.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This property has a bed and breakfast vibe. The owners run the place and take the time to make sure you are comfortable. It is spotless. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: It's an unusual location. We liked it, but if someone is looking for action close by, there isn't any.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The property was clean, smelled fresh and very nicely decorated. The staff was very nice and informative in the town history.
Cons: It was far away from airport and Kansas City itself.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Free parking, nice vibe in the lobby.
Cons: First of all description on the hotel was quite misleading. Breakfast was continental + eggs and sausages, nothing "amazing" like other reviews mentioned. Room was very small, no fridge, no safe, no iron, it was very basic. Toilet was leaking water all the time and we had to figure out the way to fix it ourself so we can get some peace and quite to sleep. Shower was very short. I am 6'4 and my head was completely above the shower curtain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They were able to accommodate our large family and it was Affordable. We would highly recommend it!!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Decor
Cons: Room needed heavier drapes to block out the property's parking lot light.

Pros: It's in a good location north of Kansas City. Quick drive to downtown and easy drive to the airport to catch a flight. Nice looking hotel throughout the day. Inside the hotel is a very good design and access to the Internet in the lobby is very helpful.
Cons: The road work on Highway 169 has the South Bridge closed which causes a modified route to downtown. It seems to reduce the convenience of the the hotels location. Therefore, not the best choice for spending time South of the hotel right now.

Pros: As you know we made these reservations quite some time ago. We asked and paid for two queen beds. When we arrived we found out we had one bed and a sofa. A 6'0" guy on a 5' sofa doesn't cut it. The idiot that gave our room away was Armando Moron.

Cons: When we got there the pool was not ready to be used. It was the whole reason we booked this hotel---so our grandkids could swim during Christmas break. 4,0 Okay
Pros: The location was very nice if you are there for the Power and Lights District. It is a beautiful old hotel.
Cons: The room we were given was nothing shown when I booked. If had a view of a brick wall and the size of the room was 1/3 of the one shown. I had to call multiple times being put on hold for over 30 minutes once and 24 minutes to notify of late arrival.

Pros: Location was great right next to the Power and Light district. Very neat and clean. Great service!
Cons: Parking and fees were high but overall great experience
5,0 Okay
Pros: We needed to be within walking distance of the Sprint Center, and we were.
Cons: This is just way too overpriced. Outrageous cost. Location is everything, I guess, but this wasn't actually any different of an experience than staying at a nice Best Western. It cost three times as much for location, and I left feeling foolish and duped.

Cons: I would always like a refrigerator in my room.

Pros: It was beautiful, I loved the parking garage access and ease, the staff was wonderful, and the rooms were very open and spacious
Cons: There was a leak in the bathroom so the floor kept flooding. The bathroom door handle kept coming off Also, the thermostats are hard to keep steady. It was either hot or cold, never between. Everything looks luxurious, but anything possible to keep cheap, they do.

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: There was no ice and the ice maker in our room’s freezer only put out a few cubes while we were there. Also, was woken by someone’s dog barking in the hotel several times.

Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: There is no pool or spa or hot tub at this location. Despite conflicting information from various sites. None. My kids were very disappointed. The room was super humid while somehow managing to be freezing. We could not get the air conditioner to kick off so it ran loudly all night. The room smelled funny and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I am a huge fan of Marriott hotels but I wouldn’t stay at this location again if they paid me.

Cons: Had a little trouble finding with Mapquest...was easier way to get there after we arrived. I should have gotten directions from the owner. Rained so was not able to got outside but had a nice area outside to enjoy!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. I also enjoyed that there was complimentary beverages available all day.
