Pros:The car was excellent. Easy and comfortable drivingCons:The Hertz office in Lady Lake (The Villages) was a very bad experience. We had to wait for about 1 hr for the understaffed office to clean a car for a person in front of us and to clean our car. Knowing we were coming to pick up the car, it should have been ready! Further, the inside was nice and clean but the outside was very dirty. I paid for a carwash before I left FL. Also, the office was very soiled looking and tacky. Pros:NothingCons:I called the day before and put a reservation in online. I had a family emergency in Alabama and needed to get there as soon as possible. I called before setting the reservation to see if they excepted debit cards they stated yes. The next day I spent 30 dollars on a taxi to get there. When I arrived, I had to wait for 30 more minutes to be told that my credit score was not high enough to rent a car from them. One hundred sixty dollars later, I rented from another company. Pros:We arrived 12min after the stated time on the reservation and the doors were locked!Cons:It would've been nice to know that the place closed at 12 and that even though the reservation said to pick up at 12, we should arrive by 11:30. Rude Staff, Nasty Smelling CarPros:AffordabilityCons:The staff was rude from the beginning. Then they gave me a car where people had smoked in, and it stunk so much. I asked for a different car. Pros:Pickup was great! No waiting and Hertz employee was very helpful and friendly!Cons:VERY long line on Sunday when we dropped off the car so we had to wait for a long time to drop off keys which only took about 5 minutes! Hertz employee was very efficient but her having to go out to each car that was being rented extended the time those of us that were only dropping a car off had to wait.
