Cons:Car was dirty inside, a size smaller than I expected, tires were low and had me sliding in the rain, windshield wipers needed replacing, and it stunk of cigarette smoke.Reviewed Dec 3 2020

Pros:nothingCons:I had a dispute with Thrifty about a scratch on a rental that I was not responsible for and didn't do. So now I am on their DNR list which I guess is your DNR list also. I won't rent from you in the future but you should have told me upfront when I made my online reservation instead of telling me you can't rent to me at the counter. Budget was great with no paranoia about scratches and a quick drop off.Reviewed Sep 20 2018

Turned a bad experience into a great one.Pros:The girl on the counter at albany airport went out ger way to help and sort of the mess left by the schenectedy branch. Cant praise her enough and would give her 6 stars if i could. I had to give three stars because of the poor experience at schenectedy she sorted out for me. Talking to her at drop off it appears other people had the same experience. Give this girl a promotion as without her my holiday would have been ruined.Cons:Schenectedy hertz, arranged to pick up my ar on the 26th of december for a week, pick up time was half 12 but they failed to tell me they shut at 1 and would be shut for three days after that. Even when i phoned to clarify a couple of details the day before, was no mention of them closing 5 hours before every other hertz in new york state. I had to pay a little extra to pick my car up at albany because of this but was well worth it to not lose half my rental if albany hertz hadnt sorted this mess out. 5 stars to her, 1 star to schenectedy.Reviewed Jan 1 2018

Good service. Double-check invoice.Pros:Good communication and accommodation of our late-afternoon pick-up. Car was in very good shape. Clerk was very friendly and helpful.Cons:The invoice, as originally printed, already anticipated - and charged us for - an extra hour of rental, even though the itinerary clearly showed that we expected to return it [and, in fact, did] by the same time of day that we picked it up. When I asked about it, the charge was quickly removed, but we were told that it would have been a hassle to have it removed on the drop-off end, so I'm glad that I noticed it up front.Reviewed Oct 31 2017
