Sent me a text saying they over booked and don’t have cars the day after I had already booked and paid online . They did not refund me I had to called and cancel and refund me . When I called Hertz to cancel they said they did , turns out they didn’t . I had to call Expedia so they can do my refund a whole week later .Reviewed Oct 14 2024

pick up wait time greater than 1 hour. I was asked to accept a pickup truck, I refused, and eventually I was assigned a car (tesla) that I really didn't want. The car was uncomfortable and took a lot of learning before I could drive it comfortably.Reviewed Oct 14 2024

I felt a lil duped. I purchased a standard SUV that said it would fit 4 people and 5 bags but when I arrived was told it wouldn’t fit and had to pay $40/extra for a car that could fit it. The standard SUV for hertz is actually an intermediate or compact SUV which is odd bc it’s normally much bigger than those. I would’ve rented from somewhere else had I known I wouldn’t get a standard that could fit us.Reviewed Oct 14 2024

It was impossible to change or modify the reservation. Trying to get someone on the phone was impossible at the local level and at the national level. It was an outrageous sum of money to add a day to the original reservation. It took at least 2 days to speak with someone. The website was horrible. You were in a loop and couldn't move forward or back. I think at this point all rental car companies are owned and operated in the same manner. Be prepared for a difficult time if you need to change anything for any reason.Reviewed Oct 14 2024

It was an absolute travesty of a rental. The car condition was absolutely disgusting other than being vacuumed it smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. There was a thick film on all the windows that i had to clean it to be able to see. The trim on the passenger side at the winshield was off and the passenger side windows in both front and back had the film taken off and adheasive was left on the windows. I had attempted to contact hertz customer service via phone and email and never received a response.Reviewed Oct 13 2024

Hertz lied, we went all the way to the airport to pick up our confirmed rental and they would not honor the confirmation! They told us that even though we made a reservation and had a confirmation number they had rented our car to someone else so they were out of cars.Reviewed Oct 13 2024
