Jacksonville NC to Myrtle Beach SCPros:John was very accommodating and the airport was easy to move around. He even went out and got the car for us as my husband is handicapped and we were his last customer.Cons:The wait time at the airport desk to get the car that was already reserved. John needed help that day! He was very nice, but out-manned with the requests for cars at the time. Wish we could have had a van instead of an SUV. Cost was HIGH I thought compared to a van rental for the same number of days in Florida.Reviewed Jun 12 2018

Vehicle was not cleanPros:Gas mileage was very good for a large SUVCons:The SUV was not washed. Dog hair all over the rear luggage area. The back of the front passenger seat was dirty with shoe prints from a child and the carpet on the driver side was dirty.Reviewed Dec 18 2017

Pros:Gas mileage was great. Prepay your return tank price was well below current price in the area. Still the best price for my area over Enterprise.Cons:Car windows were so dirty I had to stop and clean them before I could drive anywhere. Rental car fees are just outrageous.I prepaid the car on a credit card but you still get socked for a $200 depisit on top of the rental fee.Reviewed Oct 21 2017

After hours!Pros:I got to Jacksonville,NC airport late, around 11pm on the 30th of July. There was a Hertz employee; African american female w/ glasses. She was the most pleasant, most helpful and understanding young lady I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. She stayed and waited for my delayed flight to arrive even though she had to be back to work on the 31st at 7am. She took the time to answer all my questions and even though she was tired she was extremely pleasant and helpful. I must admit it is because of this wonderful young lady when i will most certainly use HERTZ again.Cons:N/AReviewed Aug 2 2017

DisappointedPros:They provided an alternate car for us rather than no car at all.Cons:We reserved a minivan to accommodate our family of 5 and all of our beach gear *ie we needed ample seating and cargo space. Upon check-in I was told they didn't have a minivan for us but an suv (Nissan pathfinder) instead. She told us that reservations extended the rental agreement on the minivan for the prior renters. I let the agent know that the pathfinder wouldn't be sufficient bc with the third row up there would be limited cargo space. She shrugged her shoulders and said the pathfinder was the best she could do. When I asked for some of my money back since they weren't providing what I paid for, I was told that since I booked through priceline via kayak that she couldn't refund any money and let me know that's why I shouldn't book through a third party. The end result was my family in the pathfinder for a week long Beach vacation with the beach chairs resting on my 5 year old's lap. Awesome. Thanks Hertz for keeping the bar very low in customer service.Reviewed Jul 22 2017
